Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list

Really knew his stuff -
Adolescence has rightly illustrated the concerns about young men. What I have also been alarmed about was the very recent case of 3 teenage girls charged with the manslaughter of a 75 year old man attacked at 11.35pm in North London. Apparently they got off at a bus stop where the man was waiting. There was a brief exchange and the girls started to make off but returned to attack him.

Regarding young lads having a laugh. For too long this has been trotted out as an excuse for different levels of anti social behaviour.

I think it striking that some people not only do this stuff but are boastful. I suspect that any thoughts about anything than their own personal enjoyment doesn’t cross their mind

I read on BBC website today about the rising popularity of Extreme Daytrips. More people not seeming to care that much about the environmental impact?

I did know that

I think the US Marines are a higher equivalent than the Austrian League

Interesting about range shooting. I believe he was rated as a marksman when he was a US Marine

I know some people insist on a conspiracy still. My view is that Oswald did it alone. The Secret Service and the rest were covering up their embarrassment that they had a lot of knowledge about Oswald but couldn't prevent the crime.

One thing that strikes me about the difference young people face is that they spend more time within their own peer groups and the pressures that brings particularly via social media. I was lucky that I had good adult role models. Parents, older brother at home. Also into full adult work at 16 mixing with not just young workmates but older people too. These were positive influences.

Will hardly be a surprise

Probably more effective then that Biggles

Imagine if another club's fans did it. You see it shrug your shoulders then swiftly forget it.

I reckon Rudkin and Co are too thick skinned to be annoyed that much

A fool and his money are easy parted. Do people think it will make any difference? A bit of an ego trip?

Munich didn't happen over the stadium

My mum's family all came from South Tyneside. I remember as a boy hearing on the radio that Newcastle had been promoted back to The First Division in 1965. I was surprised when my Uncle expressed his disgust. Only then did I learn he was a Sunderland fan. Years later he somehow was at a Newcastle v Leicester game which we won. He said he was the only bloke risking a cheer when we scored as he was most definitely in the home end.

Yes. Things look bleak now but when we were rubbish back before the League Cup wins there was precious little to look back fondly on.

Bet the Magpies win not so popular in Sunderland. I remember once going to buy a rail ticket at Newcastle station to go to Sunderland. "2 singles to Sunderland please" reply from lady in ticket office " If you must"

Yes. I remember when we won the League Cup in 1997 after zilch for ages how marvellous it was. Repeated in 2000 and I thought I was lucky not dreaming we could achieve even more. Bearing in mind how big football is in the north east and that in the 50s Newcastle were regular cup winners it is staggering how long it has taken them to win something. Qualifying for Champions League or Europa etc is fine and dandy but to see your team with a major trophy can't be beaten

What ever the financial implications it is staggering that RVN is still in post after this series of results and performances -
If somebody doesn't get a grip we could be staring at League One in 12 months
