  1. RVN has to go but Rudkin's position is toxic and surely untenable
  2. 1987-91 and 2004 to 2008 worst
  3. Tend to agree with this. I know Peter Hitchens is not everybody's cup of tea but he spoke on the subject rather well imo
  4. Of course I meant can't score a goal! Sorry to be so outlandish to suggest we could score
  5. Saw the Champions League Draw. Remember when we were good enough to play in European competitions and beat the likes of Brugge and PSV away from home. Now we can even score a goal
  6. Agreed. There is some sort numbness and and you can't continue to work yourself up so you tell yourself you don't care.
  7. Surely any manager at any club with this set of abysmal results would be sacked
  8. The 0-9 in danger. What a disgrace
  9. Sickening as it all unfolds as we feared
  10. Seen plenty of American commentators calling out Trump and Co. Hopefully this will increase.
  11. Thankfully Harold Wilson kept Britain out of it. Wonder what the Aussies think about their involvement
  12. I think we all want the war in Ukraine to stop. Although we would want the Russians to withdraw from the captured territory is this realistically possible without the war dragging on indefinitely? Of course Nato countries do not want to fight Russia. Therefore what does peace deal look like?
  13. Getting into a public slanging match is not going to help. Much better to say it directly to Trump in private and to garner support in the US from those that oppose Trump's view.
  14. Would you have turned down Bobby Charlton based on looks?
  15. Wonder what US military chiefs and diplomats think of Trump's attitude towards Nato.
  16. Not worth it to score a few points with the public. Do the hard talking behind closed doors
  17. Not sure it would help to react in public.
  18. I was talking historically.
  19. This is the issue. For all their faults since the end of ww2 the US has been central to the defence of western Europe. In the past people have been keen to have a go at the US. Some of it justified but a lot not. Now Trump indicates withdrawal it means a wake up call
  20. I recognise the irony there
  21. Good point. Not sure if having our troops in Ukraine is the best idea though.
  22. It is for United Nations to send peace keepers as blue helmets.
  23. Remember that win at Spurs though I wasn't there. Was such a surprise to end the Spurs run of avoiding defeat at home. Remember thinking well done Alan Tewley and the rave reviews of Peter Shilton
  24. I'm thankful the isolationism movement in US lost the argument.
