I remember going to the old Baseball Ground to us watch in the Cup play Burton - we won 6-2 but it had to be replayed as there was carnage inside and outside of the ground. I think Burton media "encouraged" Derby fans to come and offer their "support". I must have picked up about £5 in sharpened 10p pieces that day - paid for fish and chips after !

Went on the Wednesday to MCR at Wembley. Mind blown, absolutely superb - played some older stuff which was brilliant and the Morrissey cover "Jack the Ripper" was awesome. Then Maccabees at Bristol with Cribs supporting - again brilliant. A Certain Ratio in Bristol coming up in October, then Suede/Manics at Cardiff in November.

Pogacar just turned on the afterburners in the last final stages of yesterday. Vingegaard must have had that same sinking feeling as he's had in the last few years.

Don't need them as going tomorrow - looking forward to Skunk Anansie supporting as well.

Bruce Foxton at the Trinity Bristol last Friday. Only on for just over an hour. Poor bloke looks all of his 70 years. Still a trip down memory lane with all the Jam classics.

"Hatful of Hollow" was and still is a classic album. I'd recommend it to anyone who is too young to have seen or even remember The Smiths. In the process of re-buying all the Smiths 12" singles - sold them all before joining the Navy in 1987, and it's gutting seeing them all being sold for at least 10 times more ! Worth it though.

I'd rather have Ricky Martin - good playing style...upside, inside out ish
