  1. Would you rather the club was owned by shady US venture capitalists or some horrible dictator somewhere? I wouldn't. And those are probably the best of the likely alternatives; we'd be just as likely to end up with downright shysters who have no interest in the club at all, or simple crooks. Our chances of getting as lucky as we did last time seem slim.
  2. Some people seem to think the Community/Charity Shield counts as a real trophy; I'd probably rank this one higher than that tbh...!
  3. It's not just us winning it, it's been an ongoing process since - I don't know, since scrapping gate sharing with the away club? Abolition of the maximum wage? We probably did accelerate it a bit though. The whole point of inventing the Premier League was basically so that clubs like us would never win it, so they've had to step up a gear to make ot even harder.
  4. Oh well... finishing mid table in the Prem really isn't much to get excited about anyway.
  5. I'm all for this as long as the greedy clubs leave the domestic league completely to do their 'Super League' and never come back - but I don't think that's their plan, is it?
  6. If we broke Premier League rules last season, they should just deduct us some points from last season and amend the official 2022-23 league table accordingly. That seems fair to me.
  7. It's because the graph is facing you. So the one on the left is actually the right foot.
  8. Cats? Slinky little b******s.
  9. My dog insists it's all the fault of Wellens and Perez. But then he eats soil. And has never understood how offside works. So...
  10. Maybe. Or maybe we just got lucky with a few signings. Who really knows? Given that Vardy got to the age he did before a league club signed him, and how ridiculously good he was, perhaps nobody really knows anything and it's all just luck.
  11. We do. But we also have long term needs, and if we only ever address the short term ones then the long term ones will never ever be met.
  12. Sometimes it feels like this is in fact the case!!
  13. So pretty much the same as what will probably happen even if there turns out to be no financial penalty or points deduction!
  14. I'm not sure he's fourth choice, maybe joint third; I think him and Iheanacho are about equal behind Vardy and Daka. Me, I'd go for Cannon ahead of Iheanacho, who I just don't think is consistently quick-thinking enough to play football the Enzo way.
  15. You come across as being glad we're not doing as well as we were so you can mock the people who like what Maresca's trying to do and point out how clever you were to have seen the emperor was wearing no clothes right from the start. But I'm sure that's a misleading impression.
  16. Maybe we're just having a bad spell.
  17. No. But that's the whole point. The greediest clubs are always looking for ways to try and make sure their slice of the pie is guaranteed.
  18. Good? Maintaining the 'big' (greedy) six is good for the 'big' (greedy) six. That's the point. It isn't meant to be good for anything or anyone else.
  19. It makes not the tiniest bit of difference to anything what a fan thinks.
  20. Yeah, but they've got the money to out-lawyer everybody.
  21. Absolutely nobody. The better reporters, like Percy, actually say as much in their pieces. The less good ones speculate and sensationalise. FoxesTalk posters, meanwhile, lurch wildly between 'nothing to worry about' and 'there won't be a club this time next year.'
  22. This still wouldn't have solved the problem. Our expenditure far outweighs revenue and nothing much new owners could do to solve for that Even assuming they were good new owners, which they probably wouldn't be, despite the assumption of some on here that any new owners would automatically be an improvement.
