  1. There are plenty of things to worry about if you want to worry about things. Leeds and Ipswich for starters. But I wouldn't worry about this, seeing as there's no evidence that it's the case.
  2. Nothing needs a drum!
  3. He's not 'an awful defender.' He's not brilliant, but he's not awful. And as for adventurous, he spent a lot of last night galloping up the left wing, looking pretty darned adventurous.
  4. Us fans don't actually get the money, you know. 'Just' prestige is all we have.
  5. The first half one? Was going straight to Fatawu but the defender did well to get a touch on it to deflect it. But generally he was certainly very poor yesterday.
  6. He could hardly walk when they came over at the end, maybe that's why he was taken off.
  7. Bristol City, I imagine, with a bit of luck.
  8. I don't understand how he completely missed the scything challenge (was it on Mavididi? Can't remember) in the first half. Given how he penalised almost every tackle we made I was amazed he didn't give a penalty at the end, but having seen the replays now he was right not to.
  9. Vestergaard, Winks and Ricardo are the key three.
  10. Last night Doyle was way more of a threat on the left wing than Mavididi was. Lots slagging of KDH but I thought Mavididi, especially second half, had an absolute stinker.
  11. Apart from simply being the top division, the Premier League has nothing at all to recommend it. It's a horrible place. Is it the refreshing lack of hype, the fact that fans tend to be real fans, there being some real grounds or the competitive and unpredictable nature of the league that you dislike?
  12. This. Coady's a tidy player and a great leader, but he doesn't do those incisive passes like Vestergaard. Add in Hamza, who for all his qualities has none of the quick creative nous of Ricardo, and we're missing nearly all of our attacking creativity from deep.
  13. I don't think desperation comes in to it at all. I think he was just giving Ndidi twenty minutes as part of getting him back up to speed because we've missed him hugely and are going to need him for the rest of the season.
  14. You mean apart from it mystically winning us the league?
  15. This is definitely something to avoid. Do absolutely anything else; tbh you don't need news more than once a day if that - unless something fast-moving is happening, but an endless churn of the same doom and gloom when things aren't actually changing is no good for anybody.
  16. Not quite yet, but I imagine the post match thread is saying it's inevitable now.
  17. I admire your optimism! Me, what I see is that in the unlikely event we beat Chelsea we'll be in the semis with Man City, Liverpool and Wolves, and we wouldn't get drawn against Wolves.
  18. With a bit of luck it'll rub off on some people on here! Not all posters remained calm and measured...
  19. Last night you could see how he got to play for Denmark.
  20. Just goes to show - use a decent player in the right way in the right team with the right tactics, and get the confidence up, and hey presto they're a decent player. Use them in the wrong way in the wrong team with the wrong tactics, and destroy their confidence, and they're crap. It really isn't rocket science (although apparently as science goes, rocket science isn't really very hard).
  21. I'm not a glacier expert, but I don't think that glaciers typically retreat during the summer and return in the winter. They're enormously thick rivers of ice - I don't think that amount of ice just comes and goes seasonally; a glacier isn't like snow on a mountain in England... As I say though, I'm not an expert and may be wrong.
  22. No Lorimer. That's good.
  23. I just don't expect anything. I wait to see what happens.
  24. All results are important. Results against the teams closest in the table even more so. But this one is definitely more important for them than it is for us.
