  1. It'll be what it'll be. Other than going to the games and cheering the team on, there's eff all I can do about it, so when I'm not at the games cheering the team on I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it. No point.* *This is not a prediction of our return from the last nine games. Obvs we'll get at least a point.
  2. No, it doesn't.
  3. It's a bit of a rubbish rule really, but the rule is clear. Seems daft to me that an accidental trip trying to get the ball gets the same punishment as punching someone, but them's the rules. I reckon denying a clear dogso outside the area should result in a penalty. No need for any cards if an identical offence wouldn't merit a card in other circumstances.
  4. Apart from world cups and euros (the tournaments, not the qualifiers!) I don't watch any matches that don't have Leicester in them. Haven't for years now. And it's great! Turns out there's a whole wide world out there full of stuff that isn't football.
  5. Firstly, we couldn't make any more subs. Secondly, you can always move a defender back again if you want.
  6. Oh well. Not disgraced. If nobody got injured, that'll do. Couple of weeks to put it behind them and then concentrate on the league.
  7. Even if they were fit they'd probably have been left at home wrapped up in cotton wool to keep them safe for the league games.
  8. You'll never sing that. You'll never sing that. Sesquipadalian. You'll never sing that.
  9. Is KDH really 'proven Premier League quality? Vardy is probably too old now. He certainly isn't going to be a dominant force at that level. Nacho is wildly inconsistent. Daka is certainly not proven Premier League quality. Ditto Faes. Souttar's hardly played in the Premier League. Albrighton's getting on a bit now. Yunus is indeed a Turkish international. Wasn't Ünder also a Turkish international? And I'm possibly being generous in letting you have Justin and Praet! Don't get me wrong, we do have a strong squad for this division. But it certainly isn't packed full of 'Premier League players.' And the feebleness of our bench in recent weeks shows that.
  10. You'd rather have a points deduction this season?
  11. Well that's apparently the idea, but is it actually? Aren't people just finding out two things: Firstly that almost every one of the laws of football depends on some interpretation, and: Secondly that some of the people employed to be VARs don't appear to actually know all the laws of football. Or at least they forget them at crucial moments. Is there less moaning about decisions when there's VAR? Or fewer apparently wrong decisions? I'd suggest not really.
  12. This is the problem we have. If any one of Winks, Ricardo or Vestergaard are out, we can kind of muddle through defensively, but our main attacking threat is taken away, as we don't have anybody who can come in and do their job. Hamza can defend, but he has absolutely none of Ricardo's attacking ability. Coady is a decent defender, a good organiser and a tidy passer, but doesn't do the line-breaking passes Vestergaard can. And god help us if Winks gets injured. Or tired (which I think he is a bit, not unreasonably. A three week break for him might just keep our season on track.)
  13. Fire them from the back of the new stand! Simple!
  14. They've spent a fortune on the training ground, they want to spend another fortune on a new stand, and they literally can't spend stuff on players without getting the club into no end of bother.
  15. This is almost impossible, surely. If Leeds have dropped enough points for Southampton to have caught them up, either us or Ipswich will be ahead of them. And if we've dropped so many points that Southampton are ahead of us, both Ipswich and Leeds will be ahead of us too. There are many things to worry about, if worrying's your thing, but this isn't one of them! My advice? Just wait and see what happens! And get behind the lads in the meantime. Up the City!
  16. I think it's a self-protection mechanism. If you reckon we'll probably lose, if you convince yourself you don't care, it hurts less if we do lose.
  17. It's hard to be sure It's hard to be sure Exactly what the cause is of the financial situation our club finds itself in It's hard to be sure
  18. Ah, but maybe it would have been even worse if they hadn't been rested.
  19. No point us worrying about it; just forget about it until something actually happens.
  20. Because Mike Dean is there to be 'Mike Dean' and generate 'talking points' and contrived controversy.
  21. Really? I'd have thought if there's any position where first and best choice is obvious, it's goalkeeper!
  22. We won't finish top, and you'll be able to come on here and gloat about being right. But really, 'what happens if...?' is a pointless question. What happens if we win every game? What happens if we lose every game? What happens if the team bus crashes and they all break their legs? What happens if aliens invade? What happens if there's a global pandemic? What happens if we end up in the play off final and the FA Cup final over the same weekend?
  23. This is why I could never, ever bet against the club I support.
  24. But the club could save a bit on petrol; go down for the cup final and just stay there for the play off final...
