Isnât it fun being able to score these young lads from our academy with genuinely good scores after a result like that. What itâs all about đ -
I thought he had a decent first half in centre mid but he showed his footballing intelligence at left back. Looked very calm and steady there and a great break and release to Barnes. Well done. Bertrand further down the list đ

âDive like little bitchesâ. Quote of the season contender đ

Iâd take a serious look at him. Once touted as the new Duncan edwards. That didnât materialise but if you can get him playing he could do a job for us. A loan for the remainder of the season would be ideal. Same goes for nat Philips but I was shot down for suggesting that.
-
Iâd be wary of buying at the moment too. Thatâs why I think weâd go down the loan route. He is not the next evans or fofana thatâs for sure. It is a real conundrum at the moment. Depends on whether you think our struggle for numbers at the back will continue or ease in a month or so. Iâve been thinking it will for the last few months. Logically it should get better after Afcon and when evans cage and fofana Ricardo Justin return. In which case we really be looking to buy real quality or potential replacement if at all.
-
Christensen is a quality player and I think he would help fill the void when Evans finally has to hang up his boots. I just doubt whether they would let him join us or other PL rivals unless it was for top dollar. I wonder what others on here think to Nat Phillips. He seems surplus to requirements now at Liverpool and I thought he did quite well at the backend of last season in difficult circumstances. Showed a lot of character in that team and didnât look out of place. Maybe a loan with options? Canât see us buying outright at the moment unless someone else (CB) moves on.

Btw I think the emergence of KDH has had a similar positive effect on Maddison and his recent resurgence. I donât think we need to get too bogged down on formations in and out of possession as this so fluid nowadays but it is key to have quality across the pitch. With players coming back from injury and if we can keep said players we will have this. Shame Praet didnât seem want to fight for a place as he would be useful.
-
Yes I think it will definite give him pause for thought. I can see KDH and Youri sharing that workload and releasing the other as and when the opportunity presents itself. They both seem to be very team orientated and not focussed on individual spotlight. If we manage to keep all our talent, injury permitting, then Brendan will have some difficult but positive decisions to make. This will also keeps competition for places high and enables effective rotation and in game choices.
-
I can see this. He has that stance and look in his eye that says follow me. Leads by example. Itâs early days and we donât really know his character but early signs look good. With players like Thomas Justin barnes Daka hopefully Fofana if he stays we have the nucleus of a future team right in front of us.

Well done sir.

I agree. KDH is filling the role I think Soumare was expected to perform. Soumare will come good I believe though and will prove a good buy I hope. Either way chuffed to see KdH doing so well.

Spurs are so fâŠng jammy

Pains me to say it but Arteta has really got them playing with purpose. They are pressing like Man City of old.

I just hope Maddison can keep fit as he is on top form and we are going to need him more than ever over the coming weeks. Given the challenges he has had with injuries and family commitments he definitely deserves our total support. His ânow you see it now you donâtâ turns are a highlight for me and he doesnât seem to be dwelling on the ball so much now. Well done madders.
