I thought Susan got most things right and deserves credit for her tenure at the club. If it’s true that her relationship with Rudkin was broken it’s probably because she had challenged him and maybe didn’t get support from the chair and non-exec.

Yes but as fans I don’t think this is what is good for us or the club. Personally I was happy with Susan and I’d prefer it would be Rudkin leaving. My one hope is that her departure achieves something positive. Top taking over as interim may make the reality set in and that he really needs to sort out the real issues now or alternatively that he cannot fix this and decides to seek owners who can.

Yep. I can’t believe others are laying all the blame on vesty here. Vesty certainly got turned and could have done better but if you look back at what happened Skipp ball watching and jogs back aimlessly whilst clearly allowing broadhead to run in front of him into the box. He should have covered his man and tracked back. Instead he makes a last minute attempt to catch up and broadhead gets to the ball first. Not the first time this has happened and costing us goals and vital points.

Skipp is useless in his defensive play. Ball watches and doesn’t go with runners or put in decent tackles. He is even worse in possession. Hides instead of offering and offers no creativity. Bring anyone else on other than him. Please.

On the plus side winks was back to his metronomic self and was looking sharp. Monga and jordan james were good to watch and even BDCr and Daka did quite well. Nice assist from Daka should give him some confidence.

Skipp was just poncing around ball watching when broadhead chased into the box. Then about ten minutes later he ducked instead of standing tall to block as broadhead tried to curl a shot in. Marti should know his players by now. As soon as bdcr monga and Daka came off for Skipp Mav and Ayew they perked up and play shifted towards our goal.

We actually looked so much more fluid and dangerous with dakas pace to stretch and create space and BDCR s craft. That died when Skipp came on to shuffle around and leave his man for the goal. Ayew just makes our attack look pedestrian.

He just doesn’t seem to want oh have a run against his man and constantly looking for that chance to cut inside. I remember him going through a spell like that last time we were in the championship. Someone needs to have a quiet word with him. He could skin this lot.

Ok his control and finishing are poor but Daka gives us a bit of dynamism up front and we look better for it. Some silly stray passes but we have looked decent at times and well constructed goal.

Nail on the head. We may have been under extreme financial constraints from the owners and PSR but we ended up spending a fair chunk on those three and Odsonne. Particularly the outlay on Skipp. There have been some chinks of light with recent appointments but we can never have a repeat of that window. There is no leeway available if we are to get back on course.

Exactly. I admit I wasn’t expecting to be feel buzzing at the window close but these two are just the sort of business that make sense in our current position. A fair amount of tidying up the squad has been done and that should set us on a more manageable PSR pathway. I hope we give Julian a fair shot in the team and don’t judge him until we have seen what he can add to the team. If Ramsay can get back to full fitness he is a great addition. James is less of a punt and is a great signing too. Just what we need.
