Definitely settling in now and I have a feeling he is going to be a star for us. Along with buonanotte who already is a star we made two very decent signings.
-
After a spell going to know the league Billal is looking like the real deal now and will only get better. Imagine if we somehow manage to get Buonanotte signed permanently as well. We would then have a base of really good young attacking players. I liked the way RVP set up last night and the tenacity and intensity difference was very noticeable.

Great goal that all round. El khannous has been everywhere tonight. Pleased for him.
-
Yes I think it is very noticeable the improvement in effort and application. We haven’t seen the bunching of defenders seen in the last two games either. There are still big gaps in midfield but the closing down and blocking has improved. With the players available we were never going to play a high line tonight.
-
I think that is going to be the pattern for the rest of the season but hopefully we will regain some confidence and form. Our passing and decision making could have been better but we are ahead at half time. Better than I expected when I saw the lineup.
-
I don’t agree he has done ok.

Great save again.
-
I think he is actually holding his position quite well and getting plenty of the ball. Should have put Harding but he hasn’t been bad. El khannous and Bonnie doing a good job alongside Vardy too.

We have seen that so often of late. Need to spell it out to these players. Schoolboy stuff. -

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!

Nothing wrong with having slightly higher expectations. I’m quite happy with this appointment. A bit of a risk granted but that’s the game we play in. I do have a bit of sympathy for cooper but it just wasn’t a good fit and didn’t work out. Time to move on and upwards. As for Chris Sutton’s views…. -
Me too. My dad loved listening to him. Bless

To be honest given the players we had available most fans would probably have taken that scoreline. Could have been even better if we had that first penalty shout on Mavs. I agree with you that the most concerning thing is the set up. Just as in recent games we had players bunched up together instead of closing down players properly out of possession. Even if we were playing the zonal formation then we were executing it poorly again. We are missing some key players but I thought on the whole it could have been worse and we didn’t give up. We possibly could have got a point at the end but they were the better team. I hate to admit that about a Chelsea team. All round we need to find a way to do better as the next month or so is going to be crucial.

That was just a matter of time. Faes needed to be stronger there. We are just sitting ducks here. I’d have thought we would have learnt some lessons since the last game.

Yes I think you are right. I had forgotten that. I remeber seeing a bit of the trouble in town. We always used to park near the market and walk down. I know I had a friend mushy who would get involved and he kept talking about it for ages. He was a very wary developer compared to me. I caught up though in my late teens though. Those were the days. I have never liked Chelsea since then. Early memories last forever. I hope we upset the odds today. Come on Leicester. -

Blimey I remember that. It’s funny I think I blocked a lot of that out. I think as a kid I was quite upset at the time. But I guess I’m just as protective about family as my dad was then. Thanks again. -

Thanks. I was only young. I remember the stairs and it fits in with my memory. I was kind of hoping it didn’t. My dad stood in front of us and I remember Chelsea fans charging and one trying to king fu kick my dad. My dad could handle himself in those days though. We started to go as a family in the family area but as we got a bit bigger moved to the double decker. That day was a bit crazy. Thanks for your insights. -

Can anyone remember a game at filbert street in the late 70s or early 80s when they closed the exits from the double decker either to let the Chelsea away fans out of the ground or be escorted away. I was there with my dad and brother and I’m sure I remember Chelsea fans charging us lot. I’ve always had a dislike for them since. I can’t recollect much about it as I was only a young one? -

Any news on what he has done. ACL? -
I’m sure someone could knock up some videos to fix that. Please.

Like most things nowadays I just record it then watch it when I fancy. I still find it a good watch and easy way to keep up on the other matches. I still find it relevant. Of course I have always been proud that it is a Leicester lad fronting it. I’ve always found him a bit of an uncomfortable watch. Like watching your dad dancing but in the same breath I also find that quite comforting. He has done it for so long. Match of the day won’t be the same.

I feel your pain We kind of did go back and start again when dropping to the championship and the swathe of player changes and financial reconstruction that followed last year. The one area left relatively untouched was those at the top. We haven’t seen enough to suggest that they have learnt from earlier mistakes and if anything we see signs of repetition. We were handed a lifeline last year in the championship with the success on the field. The operating environment is much more difficult now under PSR but poor decisions or lack of decisions may undo last seasons rebound As fans we had become accustomed to a level of performance and achievement that I thought I’d never see here as a lifelong fan. I admit to having a sense of entitlement to see the club continue to perform and try to get back to that sort of level. The same ambitions that the chairman publicly stated and drove us to whilst he was with us. . If the club don’t share, or feel unable to deliver, the same ambition that the fans have become accustomed to then it is natural that there will be disengagement. I fear it will take a long time before we are aligned again.

Spot on here. I wonder if it was picked up at all on commentary. It’s blatantly obvious bias (bob).
