What was Ruuds record like before we played a bunch of meaningless fixtures against other relegated sides? Genuine question by the way. For what it's worth had Ruud had a run where we lost the same amount of games but managed to score and look competitive I'd be open to keeping him on

Not a Martin fan but this doesn't really give a proper picture does it? Ruud managed PSV, Martin managed MK Don's and Swansea prior to Southampton. Ruud's record outside of PSV and his stint battering us with United is shite

They were closer to us then they were 7th. The lack of adaptability and his prem record is the main concern.

He might not seem as nervous and panicky in the Championship

Probably gets us back up (unless we get slapped with a sizeable points deduction), the concern is always going to be his inability to change things up if we do go back up. Also, both times we slapped them I thought he came across as very deluded with regards to how they had played

It's only been two seasons anyway, lots of pundits talk as if the promoted sides have then been relegated like it's been going on for a decade. 22/23 it was two very established sides in us and Southampton and a Leeds side that had been up for a few seasons that dropped.

Iversen had played over 150 games out on loan, not as if the Preston loan was his only experience of first team football.
