  1. If anyone doesn't mind playing with a sugar daddy owner, there's a fifth tier Polish side who have a minted owner which might be pretty fun. Although they do currently have Radosław Majewski playing for them so you'd need to sell him
  2. They have, I've had a couple although from watching initially they look clearly onside so not much of a surprise they were given but the initial dread of it flashing up but not being disallowed did catch me off guard
  3. Are they even comparable? Apart from them both playing in the middle of the pitch.
  4. Yeah and coming through at Chelsea think how much money has been put in to his development over the years. Odd comparison
  5. Sounds like a pretty good offer and moving around is usually the best way to keep getting good deals, if they're guranteeing speeds you shouldn't be on a copper service anyway. Always worth checking your speeds at some point to make sure
  6. Think BT won the rights to show Australian stuff a few years back now didn't they and it was renewed this year. A home Ashes series would be on Sky though
  7. Any idea on the broadband service (title wise not speed) the alternate provider is offering? Also just some additional information not that relevant at the moment but will be in a few years, Openreach are retiring all copper services by the end of 2025. I assume they'll make it as painless for residential consumers as possible but worth bearing in mind in a few years.
  8. The gap to the playoffs isn't that huge so realistically they could be in or around them with a 3rd of the season left. If they aren't the bounce they've had since Morison took charge has probably gone and they'll be bottom half.
  9. Has he? Don't think anyone's said it's a shoe string budget but I can't recall them spending obscene sums over a window
  10. Seems easy to forget the outstanding job he did at Östersunds though.
  11. Great film isn't it, think that's in part to it being a good film overall not just 'good for a zombie film'. Word of warning though if you haven't seen it I found the sequel pretty average (probably falls in to the good for a zombie film category but nothing more)
  12. Have they still got the Sugar Daddy owner? and have you kept Robertone? He was outrageous for me on a Velez save I did a few years ago
  13. Not arguing that value for money isn't out there, and if we were really planning to sign a 4th/5th choice centre half as part of a premeditated recruitment drive I'm sure they'd look for such value. Again not sure anyone expects or really wants Amartey starting week in week out but without injuries and us playing a back 4 he doesn't make the bench most weeks I imagine. However most can acknowledge circumstances have dictated he's playing a bigger role than he should be but actually he's been pretty steady and better than Soyuncu this season. On the passing part he's clearly not Thiago Silva, but I'd hazard a guess his completion rate is over 80% (awaits "all sideways or backwards" comment which would be unfair considering Evans and Soyuncu are just as bad)
  14. Soumare away in Moscow was superb, they aren't overly comparable but you'd struggle to see Mendy put in a better performance than Soumare did that day.
  15. If Vestergaard was any good Amartey would be 5th choice and even so he's not a bad 4th choice. I don't think anyone has said they'd have him starting week in week out if everyone was fit so I don't get your point. But I'm 'astounded' anyone thinks we can have 5 top 6 standard centre halves in the squad
  16. You didn't mention Albrighton though and you used examples of his apparent poor positioning costing us where he actually wasn't to blame
  17. If you suspected it was both why didn't you initially mention Albrighton rather than making a point of them apparently targeting Amartey himself? Better centre halves than Amartey will struggle against Hudson-Odoi and Chilwell with an actual wing back next to them let alone a makeshift one. Let's be honest that Hudson-Odoi chance was pretty much all Albrightons fault, Amartey does pretty well to not go diving in after he skips past Albrighton.
  18. Looking at the 3rd goal I'd argue both Soyuncu and Evans are at fault more so than Amartey. Wasn't Pulisic playing through the middle? So actually Evans' man to pick up theoretically. Additionally it was Evans at fault for the second (after the initial midfield shambles) not stepping out to Kante, saying Amartey is the reason for a significant number of chances against us is just odd. With regards to Chilwell I'd imagine rather than targeting Amartey they were exploiting the fact he had Albrighton as a wing back next to him, not the Belgian international on the other side.
  19. Unsure on the captaincy, interesting to see if he still plays as I'm sure there's a number of better keepers/batsman who have struggled to get in the side with Paine being captain (therefore undroppable)
  20. Tim Paine resigned as captain overnight because of an incident a few years back involving texts to a female colleague.
  21. Just had a look at his stats for the season 1 goal and 1 assist in 500 odd minutes. Averaged out it's a goal involvement of 1 in 3 if you work it out per 90 minutes, not bad for an invisible player. Factor in last season their highest scoring midfielder only got 4 and the most assists was 3 and he's probably actually been an upgrade
  22. Pretty sure prior to his injury King was in a majority of matchday squads.
