  1. All the anecdotal stuff is great for Forest (until they dumped him), but none of that is guaranteed to translate to another setup. Also, there were lots of rumours of pretty poor man management going on from him. However, most important thing is knowing how he will likely set the team up, how he will get the best out of players etc. But nobody seems to know how Cooper really sets his team up or how he likes to play? I've watched Forest a few times and am at a complete loss to it. If he gets interviewed, lets hope he has a bloody good story and wins our management team over.
  2. Ben Nelson could be worth far more than that in 2 seasons. Not sure anyone pays 5mil for Kasey.
  3. If you sack the manager, you can hand the job over to the backroom team but you have to pay the contract out. If they get poached the contract is bought and you lose all the staff. Sucks either way.
  4. He will never be able to sustain what he body was able to do several seasons ago. Sorry - you will have to move on from that.
  5. Riccy lasts about 6 or 7 games playing that role before he is injured again. The inverted role saved his season. His body just can't do that again. I think if we moved to Corberans system he would have to drop into midfield,
  6. My mate whos a Brighton fan has been up for the weekend. Absolutely doesn't want Potter back at all. Went through long periods without scoring and didnt like the football. Interesting how differently managers are perceived when they manage your club vs others.
  7. Yup. Seems those that didn't like him now get the say on how he was viewed by the wider fan base.
  8. Yes, but it's obvious we don't do this the Chelsea why and plaster every movement over social media. The odd name has been floated around socials (Corberan is coming up a lot). Suggest we will likely get a much better understanding early next week. Enzo and the comp hasn't been sorted yet.
  9. What's his style / approach? What makes him a decent coach? How will he be able to utilise what we have. Forest looked nothing more than a mess in the PL so i think we have to look beyond just his promotion season and understand why he might try and do.
  10. Any analysis out there on Coopers style / approach? I've watched Forest a few times in the Prem and at a complete loss to what style he had his teams playing. Couldn't work out if the were awful because of or despite of him.
  11. Found out yesterday that my sons ex youth football manager now has stage 4 cancer. Marvelous bloke, and no way my son would have ever got into football without his support and guidance. Has a boy the same age as my son.
  12. He is what you get when you sign young players, which a lot of this forum has always tried to push for. He had only just turned 20 when we signed him, and he relocated and joined a complete basket case of a team. Furthermore, there were reports of pretty nasty behaviour towards him from a few of our players who should have known better. When you sign like this, you need to expect that they are going to develop / learn / improve, and they aren't the finished article. I thought he was patchy for us but there were good performances (his cross to Castagne against Wolves pretty kept us in with a shout to stay in the PL). He's had a well regarded season at Bologna and is in the provisional squad for Denmark. Feels like following a sh1t show that leicester offered him his career is now on the right path. He's clearly shown a great aptitude to improve and will continue to do so in the right environment. If we get Corbaran, i would love for the club to be talking to him about restarting his journey with us as he could be a real asset. Sounds like there has been a managerial change at Bologna so it's unknown if they will be looking to change their style or not, and we know what finances can be like at Italian clubs.
  13. I'm no expert, but it seems the full backs have an important role (and overlap) and he doesn't do the inverted stuff, so this will keep a lot of our fans happy. Maybe a future for Victor then, although Ricardo worries me if they need to cover a lot of ground. JJ probably will do well if he can stay injury free. Seems like energy in midfield is important so KDH would be important if he stays. Double runner stuff with fullbacks is interesting. Wingers are expected to attack quickly which would probably suit Fatawu, and doesnt seem like they are expected to hug the wing, which could be good for Mavadidi who i felt was good when he was a bit more central. Seems the DM is a really important role so will need to recruit well. Getting forward quickly seems to feed off our better play when we transitioned up the field quickly rather than slow buildup. Doesn't feel like there is a future for Vesty in this type of system, but Coady and Nelson should be good, especially the latter who is good with the ball and quick, and CD stay deep so no Faes bombing forward. Doesn't seem a natural place for Soumare if he was going to come back. Worry about defensive minded midfielders really. Winks is a bit lightweight and better as the recycler, Ndidi has gone, Soumare was crap at that role. Seems like he favours a single striker who drops deep, but the LW plays a bit more centrally like we saw Enzo experiment with Cannon a few times so when compact it will feel like 2 up top especially with the fullbacks playing advanced roles. Seems like a lot to like and maybe makes good use of what we have. All the analysis presumes he won't change his approach for more resources available. Fully expect to be told i understand nothing.
  14. @StriderHiryu your analysis please 😁😂😁
  15. What’s this obsession with Christmas. It’s as cliched as plan b.
  16. When Leeds were looking at him in the Summer the press quoted 2 mill.
  17. Just conveniently forget the teams we beat playing low block. And great to make out it’s some sort of problem only we face. Leeds suffered the same, and I saw Liverpool struggling at times with low block. Man U pretty much lowblocked the FA cup final. Agree preseason important. Need to be getting the team together yesterday and preparing right away.
  18. Stolarczyk gets the no 1 spot surely.
  19. Nonsense. We got results against decent West Brom and Norwich sides, spanked the play off winners 5 nil and dispatched Preston with half the players still pi55ed. Lots of momentum there. Love your take that just going low block wins us games like Chelsea.
  20. Rumours were he was providing team news to the players via Whatsapp. Did you watch much of Forest towards the end. Was horrible. Not sure there was much to like.
  21. Nope - common problem in our house. I bet majority on here do it as well.
  22. How many managers have lasted 1 year since Boehly took over? Surely sacking is the understood end game with this appointment? It's just a matter of how.
  23. Reckon you would get £10 of that taken on Paddy Power.
