  1. He even cracked a smile at one point.
  2. How much were we paying Wolf?
  3. Enjoyed too. Took ages to get the players from the bus to the balcony, but once they were there it was fun. But yeah, i think 95% of security staff had no idea why they were even there. Not sure how i feel about 2 bus loads of Thai's filming me and waving at me like i should know who they are! 1st bus full chucking filbert toys at us. Definitely surreal, but Vards and Albrighton made up for it.
  4. Yup. At the time there were big intakes of breath in the crowd. To call Rudkin out was a pretty big statement, and probably tells me any discussions have gone nowhere.
  5. Enzo said earlier in the season that the club were talking about a new deal with him.
  6. Nice day for it. Bet the miserable bastards were hoping for rain ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†
  7. Right now I am bullish we can stay up. A bit of clever recruitment and a solid preseason and i think we can go in with some confidence. Also, if we can keep the deductions down to 3 points i think we stand a chance. We will be losing a lot of matches, and people are going to need to reset their expectations around that. IMHO all the talk of Pep and Champagne players needs to stop. We need enough to survive, and as Sheff Utd / Luton / Forest / Brentford have shown that a variety of styles don't magically fix problems.
  8. I think agents see Villa as the last chance saloon to getting big salaries for free agents. They are pretty maxed out though so don't see them getting someone like Kels on a 100k a week deal.
  9. Yesterday was the perfect example of an on the beach performance. We'd already had 2 celebrations and everyone was just waiting for the final whistle. We got there early but for the first time didn't pay much attention to the warm ups or the lineups. With nothing on the line, we had all mentally checked out of the match pretty quickly. It was a crap match and we played like we were on the training ground. Very few players went for 50/50 tackles or anything that looked 'strenuous'. Subs were for old times sake rather than the right choices. Lovely to see Sharkey but after the initial few crosses you could see why he hasn't been playing. Same with Nacho. Really no point losing any sleep over it, and calling of it being unprofessional is silly. Lots of Champions have lost on the beach games (and even look at the likes of Brighton in the PL right now who have won nothing). I do agree the atmosphere got a little flat but amusingly got much louder after Blackburn scored their 2nd. Only thing, i wonder if the game would have been 0-0 if Stolarczyk had played. He seems to have the midas touch with clean sheets for us Loved seeing the trophy (we had a good view in H1) and amazing to celebrate - for my son he's never seen anything like this before. Had a good few pints in town singing 'Champions ole' - great feeling all round. Can't believe how long it will be until the next match
  10. Vardy mentioned in his interview yesterday after lifting the trophy. Pointed out that the training staff were doing 13 hour days and the dedication was off the charts.
  11. The same Vesty that looked amazing against Bournemouth? Also, has he signed a new deal or something?
  12. Saw he was wearing a t-shirt but couldnt see what was on it. What a complete plonker. Reports now in the press that he turned down a reduced deal and his agent is now pushing for Villa. You would imagine Unai is smarter than that, but you never know. This, along with Youri, needs to be the model for what running down your contract looks like.
  13. I find this a slightly lazy point. Pep needs 'champagne' players to win multiple titles, FA Cups and compete for Champions Leagues. We are miles off that. Enzo himself in his last prezza said that the goal would be to survive. 'All' () he needs to do a navigate that with a points deduction and help build the foundations moving forward. If we can avoid relegation, it would put our club in a great position. The bottom 6 of the PL is full of teams playing different styles. For some reason, the only one that gets pointed at is Kompany's system. Yet the 'stuff' that Brentford plays has lost them 18 games this season and Forest 19 games, and we all love Luton but their form makes our 2022 season look like we were mid table. But somehow that is all fair game? If the club can recruit reasonably well (which in fairness they did do last summer), then i don't see the issue with carrying on this project.
  14. No one will be parking the bus against us next year. Would get that out of you thinking.
  15. 28 years old and one decent season. Itโ€™s going to take a leap of faith for a prem club to go for him. Loads of strapping on his legs too.
  16. Fair play to all of you. At the end of the day chucking a few tenners your way is a minor inconvenience (well, it not inconvenient - but you know what i mean). The work / planning / dedication you guys put in is off the charts and i don't know where you find the time to do it. Congrats on something that looked amazing (and that's from someone sat in H1 who only got to see the arses of the people holding the display up!). Please don't be put off by the odd moaner. The bigger the display the more moaners there would be but even though none of is could see anything, everyone around me was upbeat and loved taking part. Heres to next year and more of the same
  17. Yunus dived - pathetic really. As everyone was around the penalty area is ended up Szmodics vs Mads who commited really early. Not sure about Yunus. The talent is there but he is weaker than a Chang beer at 11.30am.
  18. Not going to say anything else about him other than he looked 5 years older than Vardy when he came on. Wish him well wherever he ends up, but i don't expect to be hearing much more about him.
  19. So you went home before they came round? The players were having a ball down by SK1 and were ushered around by the media team. They did get round there.
  20. We say them lifting it down there at the end. Did you leave before they had gone round?
  21. We stayed till the very end. They went round the whole ground. We saw the media team ushering the players away from sk1 to do it.
  22. Have you looked at previous championship seasons?
  23. Itโ€™s great fun in the distillery. Champions again ole!!!
  24. If sharkey scores, weโ€™re on the pitch!
