  1. Do a trend line up to game 46
  2. Also at the time we beat them Preston were one of the Championship golden boys, as were Sunderland.
  3. I thought we would lose against Boro and I think we will lose this. We also lose at Bournemouth to exit the cup. Then we go on a decent run until the end of the season and i think we beat Southampton at home. The next week or so is going to be tough but i am still very confident that we have enough to see the season out.

    Daka

Hahah! good point. I annoyingly recall him scoring a good header at Afcon. Couldn't agree more about your last 2 comments. Its been a joy to watch him since he came back into contention and his goals / assists stats speak for themselves.

    Daka

    Which one?
  6. Crikey. Hope the treatment works and he comes back fighting fit. Got a lot of time for Mowbray.
  7. Nope - all other teams win all there games. Thats how its been all season and that's how it will be during the run in. Any historical reference to times where other top teams didn't win are inaccurate and will be disregarded.
  8. Or some sustainability claptrap. All the clubs together could say that xxx tonnes of CO2 saved by turning concourse tv screens off during matches and can only come back on after the final whistle.
  9. No. But i'm not going to pretend he was much good either. He didn't stand out as overly poor because in reality he doesn't really try to do much progressive. Was slow and blowing hard pretty early on, and his fitness is a real concern. He's tidy with the ball and is positionally astute, but not a lot really happens. A few of our better players ended up trying too hard yesterday, and Praet just did what he does so appeared to make less mistakes.
  10. So why aren’t Leeds top?
  11. I bet they lose to Plymouth. This bloody league does my head in.
  12. There are many who will do so out of habit. I know many watch the last of the game on the big screens downstairs so they can make a quick exit. But I agree that there are many who will have personal reasons to do so. Around us there are a few easy access areas and quite a few people leave early who need help walking or struggle a little with stairs. Lady behind us always says sorry when she leaves because she has to get to work on time. Can't really complain with those.
  13. Of course yesterday wasn't ok. But neither is suggest its because of some overarching systematic issue.
  14. Couldn't agree more. The irony is that when doing what a lot of fans had been shouting for, we didn't look composed, snatched at chances and opted for whipping in random crosses rather than executing a plan. I don't know if it was a product of going 2 goals down, or something about Boro tactics that triggered something in our system, or even if the better atmosphere in the ground contributed to players losing composure. I felt on a number of occasions that calming down a bit and focussing on what we are good at would have been better. Even from Enzo's side - although Cannon was ok, the Mavididi sub was strange as its usually in the 2nd half at the KP he starts to shine. Subbing at half time almost felt that Enzo was being reactionary. Cliche ridden, but definitely one for them all to learn from. But I stand by my point that i think Enzo will be more defensively minded for the next few games.
  15. Time and time again its pointed out that we have the most goals scored and the best goal difference in the league. We have joint fewest goals conceded. Dominance has allowed us to end up with these stats. What we aren't seeing is exponential return on that dominance, but that is largely impossible. We will have games like Stoke where we are more clinical, and game like yesterday where at least 3 players (including the goat) snatch at sitters. It would be interesting to see how we respond following this defeat. I think dropping 2 goals in the 1st half won't sit well with Enzo and think he might opt to be more defensive, so we won't see Faes and Vestergaard as far forward as they have been lately. I don't think he will want to appease the 'forward' brigade as much as he has been.
  16. Not sure i agree that Middlesbrough were awful. They were certainly nothing special but were able to execute a game plan that i think surprised us a little, taking pretty much all their big chances. I thought they defended well and starved us of our free flowing passing in the middle of the pitch. Very little from KDH or Winks found its way through the middle. They were certainly 'on it' from that perspective. They took the few chances they had, stopped us playing to our strengths, and then lucked out when we couldn't finish anything. That's how you beat the better teams. Felt a bit like when we drew again Newcastle last year when they were clearly the better team. It happens. I would put money on Middlesbrough losing to Plymouth next week.
  17. Even the miserable bastards next to me were singing. Something in the air today and it was great. So different to Tuesday.
  18. Get yourself a bottle of red and chill. We got shithoused today. It happens.
  19. He was f4cked after 15 minutes. The guy has no fitness at all.
  20. Lives in a shithole up north with no job prospects. Wouldn’t worry about it.
  21. I've been saying all week I don't think we are winning this. Have woken up super confident that we smash these 3-0. Have a Middlesborough supporting mate who wouldn't shut up after the first game. Lets do this!
  22. Ricky Martin was playing on the Radio earlier. Awful as well.
  23. I've got time for Steve Martin though.
  24. I would be astonished if Daka doesn't start this. Nacho doesn't have great performances at Afcon to influence the decision here, and has only just come back to training.
