Its a risk / reward approach. The process has led to more good attacks than it has goals conceded. It is going to happen - we see the best make this mistake. Last night was worse because we were playing one of the best pressing teams out there and a 2nd string keeper / defence that haven't ever played together before. I'm actually glad we stuck to it - there was no better learning experience playing this type of system.
-
$$$$$$ buy you some of the best pressing players in the Business. I for one am glad we didn't go to Anfield and simply play a low block smash and grab. We stuck to Enzo's plan, even with a 2nd string defence and the academy GK. It led to some really hairy moments, but to some degree that's what we needed. We need to plan / practice how this is going to be when we play more effective opposition. I don't bemone any of the players that put a shift in against Liverpool yesterday - that was damn hard work and they stuck to it, even when Liverpool were swarming all over them. This is part of the building process. I actually expect a few of the top Championship teams to watch this and wonder if they can do this to us as well. It will be a gamble, but if they aren't effective enough, they will get punished.

This. I have concerns but have to appreciate he is still effectively a youth prospect stepping up and adapting to Enzo’s system. It not going to be fair to gauge him on an away start against Liverpool.
-
Excuses excuses. Others have adapted and embraced the system. Although not perfect, Vardy has adapted to this much better than kels . Mavadidi can score and assist 1 in a games, and people are willing to criticise him heavily. Kels is doing nothing and the excuses are pouring in. The case everyone was making is that he is perfect for this system. He is anything but. Time for a spell out of the first team until he works out a way forward. Daka appears to be back in the frame, although it’s clearly going to take him time to adjust as well.
-
Judge him after a run of league games. I think he’s on the up personally and all things considered did alright tonight.
-
To be fair it’s KDHs door he is knocking on. He is more skilful but doesn’t quite have the energy. The 2 can compliment each other.
-
Problem is he is pretty consistent right now. As far as i am concerned that is it - he should be nowhere near the team for a while. Daka looked rusty as fvk but actually showed some half decent movement cand reated a chance or 2. With Nacho its either bouncing off him or he is running into walls.

Have a scouse season ticket holder in my team. Every week they play 'the worst ever fans'. Everyone complete disrespects etc etc. Just plain weird.
-
Agree with all this apart from Justin. I think he will be just fine in that role a division below. Ricardo and Justin had tough asks tonight. Personally think Nacho needs benching for a long time and we persist with Vardy and Daka until Cannon is ready. Albrighton just not made for all this, and Casadei is probably a years development behind where we need him to be. Worth pointing out we are not coming up against anything like Liverpool (albeit with changes) unless we draw something tough in the FA cup. This is as tough as its going to get for us.
-
Actually thought our 2nd string defence (and backup keeper) held themselves to account well. After soaking a lot of pressure (pretty well), instead of praising the defence the commentator said we were playing like a 'deer in headlights'. Really didn't justify such one sided nonsense.
-
Daka played a nice ball to Ndidi (the £5 million ball!). One more nice ball compared to Nacho. Thought Casadei was poor, but Liverpool give you no space to breathe. Casadei as concern for me now. Thought the rest of them did themselves proud. Souttar can't play out the back but defended well. Stolarczyk had the best learning experience he could hope for, but has a lot to work on. But in a way I am glad they persisted with the style even though Liverpool were over us like a rash everytime we played out the back. Coady did well for first game back, so will be just fine against the dross in the division below. Souttar and Coady blowing hard at the end, but fair play. Fatawu should probably have had a Pen, and Ndidi should have done better. But to be fair, i'm glad we're out of the damn thing after holding ourselves to account pretty well. Special awards to the ref and the amazing commentary. I think we could all come up with our top 5 moments. My personal favourite was when Nunez scuffed a shot wide: He's not hungry, he's ravenous. Bellend.
-
And we are going to have someone sent off.
-
The least he can do is control it. The way the ball bounces off him is an embarrassment.
-
Fek me Nacho gets worse. Remember he's meant to be the quality in all this. Fair play to them all. Still expect Liverpool to come back and take it, but 10 of them have put a shift in.
-
And the club spend a million a week on clappers anyway. I am pretty sure if Daka is properly fit and raring to go we will see him play. Can't see Nacho stinking the place our for the full 90.
-
Hate Jota. Blame him for everything.
-
Wasn't it Jota who did it?
-
We aren't in the position to be buying top half PL players right now. Promotion this season, survival next season. If we don't get promoted this season, we have to be well stocked for next year. Its going to be a tough few years.
-
Wolves are shite
-
That's subjective in this instance. Enzo clearly sees he is worth hanging on to. He's already made a solid start and assured that is not only fancied by the manager, but is at least this level. I don't understand the issue really.
-
Which lessons you referring to?
-
I suppose they would presume that he's unlikely to get picked for the first team anyway, and no matter what will be sold for about 15mil.
-
He's 19. It's unlikely he was going to have a rich history of injuries.

Sorry if been asked before, but where we trying to play the same system as the 1st team? -
They can't be counting Evans's little cameo against Arsenal, where a deflected shot against him and him playing someone onside led to 2 goals. Lovely him declaring a 1-0 against Burnley as the best night of his life
