We are going to drop points this season no doubt. If it happens today its because this league is a long hard slog, not because this outfit is the obliging Leicester City. If we drop points over the next few games, i still back us to turn it around as needed.
-
Agree with this. The worst thing we could do is rotate by not respecting the opposition. That way we could find ourselves dropping in both games. I expect rotation because the players need it and Enzo has a rotation policy, but i don't think the number of yellows will dictate the full lineup.

The disdain in Ian Wrights voice when he says 'Leicester' a few times makes me angry. Twat still can't his head around that Rodgers was the issue.

Of course - but the big fee sales are where the big money is made. Its hypothetical right now because the lad is still yet to start this season. We all know his potential, but if he is a big hit (which is well within his grasp), i would not be surprised to see him go for big money.

We need to make money from the academy. A breakthrough year this season, a solid start to PL life next year with the next being the stand out season, and then off for £75million plus somewhere will do just nicely.

LCFC Fans Consultative Committee Meeting 06/09/23 Minutes

Is this a different meeting to the one where you discussed what went wrong last season and the learnings from it? -

Also shows you don't get sarcasm.

Was hoping for another goalkeeper to be honest.

But, being devils advocate, our system is so solid that someone as sh1t as Vestergaard can come in and look like one of the best defenders in the league. Imagine if we could get a few quid for him, and replace him with an upcoming talent who is a bit pacier who would then grow into the roll over the rest of the season and be a good backup option on the PL next year.
-
If we can get a mill or 2 I would sell in Jan. I imagine he would be on the radar for a few suitors, and we can start planning what we want to do next. I doubt he would sign a new deal anyway and probably doubt we would sell for a small amount bearing in mind whats at stake. Will probably end up at Man City and have a brilliant season or 2.

That Will Still at Reims looks like a great manager. Did you know Reims gets fined €25,000 each game because he does not have a UEFA Pro Licence.

Travel disruption - trains, planes, automobiles and parking
Chelmofox replied to Spudulike's topic in Leicester City Forum
Asked in another thread but it was largely off topic. Freemans common car park was closed for Match day parking on Saturday. Anyone know if this is going to be a common thing from now on, or was it just because it was open day at the uni? -
You see it completely different on TV. I had the misfortune of going to West Ham Vs Man U a few seasons back (kid wanted wanted to see Ronaldo, but he learnt fast not to go to the London Stadium). It was the game where West Ham got a penalty in stoppage time and they subbed on Mark Noble who then missed it. Bloody hilarious. About 10 mins before the end fans were streaming out of the stadium. I reckon on one corner of the pitch is was less than 2/3 full by the time of the penalty incident and my wife made lots of comments why did half of the West Ham fans miss the end of the game. When we watched Match of the Day you would have assumed everyone was still in the stadium. They can be very clever with the camera work. Personally, didn't notice many leaving early on Saturday. I know plenty do, but it feels nothing like it did at the London Stadium.

Freemans common car park was closed for Match day parking on Saturday, which was a right pain in the ass and put strain on other car parks (managed to find one of the last spaces by the athletics track). It's the first time i've ever known this to happen. Anyone know if this is a one off as i think there was an open day at the Uni, but they allowed parking the same weekend last year. The last thing we need is public parking closing to fans on match days.

It's a long season (35 games left!), and Vestergaard leaves at the end of this one no matter what. There is more to this than the last 11 games we've played.

He’s a bot.

The switch.

Interesting. Met plenty of Stoke fans at uni. Never any Wolves though anywhere. Interesting to note that a few Man U fans from uni now mysteriously support Man City. One didn’t swap sides but claims not to like football anymore. Off topic now though!!
-
Same as now using assistant referee. No problem with it. Me and my son were musing yesterday, that a phrase you never hear is 'I support Wolves'. On any holiday i have been on i don't think i have ever bumped into a Wolves fan.

I don't know at what point I start getting concerned about next summer recruitment. Been trying to convince myself that all what matters is promotion, and i still believe that. If we let this slip we can be stuck in the Championship for years. I do think if we go up then the rebuild is going to be significant. Those who have this season left on their contracts will be leaving (thats Nacho, Ndidi, Vesty, some bloke called Praet) and i think Vardy will retire. I think those we have loan options are will stay but i don't see us keeping Casadei (i think Chelsea want a lot of money for him). I think i am not going to worry about it until Feb/March. Hopefully Enzo has contacts up his sleeve and the recruitment team and Enzo are a very close unit. I do think if promoted, the first 1/4 of next season will be very, very difficult.

Feels far less impactful than last time. Daka is out of favour anyway, and I presume we will have Cannon by then (hopefully). Kasey should be recovered so we have plenty of wingers and I don’t believe Fatawu would be playing every game anyhow. We have Wayna as well if needed. Ndidi feels like the biggest loss, but hopefully we will see improvements in Casadei between now and then and we also have Akgun who can take a number of roles. Would have ideally been full strength for the Ipswich home game, presuming both of us are still top 2 by then. Of course, injury situation could change between now and then.
-
I was very critical of him in the early games because he was way way off what was needed - and i mean way off. A few of us who were critical consistently said we wanted it to work out. It's great to see goals in the last few games and he has looked a lot more confident (that run for the 3rd goal against PNE was fabulous). Maybe he only needed a small % different in understanding for it to click a little more. Im still concerned he plays very deep in this system at at times, but because of where we are we can trust that its either an Enzo tactic or if not something he will look to resolve. And there is still that contract issue to resolve.....

The thought of even trying makes me feel ill. I've learned this season that i can't second guess Enzo and if he thinks Dennis can do that then so be it.

Take your Pearson tinted specs off - Bristol are awful and will be mid table at best this season.
