  1. I didn't give the ok for you to use that photo of me.....
  2. Look at Villa and Brighton. Its taken time and there have been bumps along the way (including us exploiting it against Villa early in Emry's tenure). If promoted, it's going to take a difficult season and additional rebuilds before we can make it comfortably work. The big question will be if we end up where Burnley are and if we can cope with that wobble.
  3. Took a good penalty, but not much else to really talk about. Thought Vardy looked excellent.
  4. Not sure about Nacho at all, and still think Ndidi get the nod. Think I would rather start Vardy for this and rotate for the Stoke game.
  5. 'Idiotic'? 6 goals conceded in 9 games. It's a risky play, and if the opposition are on it and you make a mistake it leads to conceded chances. But is it idiotic?
  6. My first midweek game since Liverpool late last year. A few weeks back i thought Preston would have a go at us but now pretty sure this will be low block tastic. If we win we are going to have to grind this out 1-0. Don't think it will be a lot of fun.
  7. Fingers crossed. He was lightning quick on that run, so was full pelt.
  8. There was a lot of nay sayers after his first game. He has played 2 quality balls in 2 games that led to goals. Looks sharp and smart. Like him a lot. Very different to Mavadidi and Fatawu.
  9. This has been the sloppiest i have seen us, but that is largely down to Blackburns approach which is stifling out Winks and Ricardo, and forcing the back 3 into errors. Ndidi and KDH have struggled, although Ndidi played a lovely ball for Vardy's brilliant goal. Impressed with Fatuwu, but he's a red card waiting to happen. Interesting to see if Blackburn can keep this up. I think they struggled in the last 15 minutes.
  10. No, you can still make mistakes following the process, just that in this case those mistakes lead to an immediate attack. I remember we did this to Villa when we beat them 1-4 last season. KDH was all over their playing out the back. Did Emery stick to his plan, or resort to Dycheball?
  11. Mads is quality. Its a risk reward thing and we were sloppy. Currently has created more chances than we have conceded.
  12. Ps55ing one handed - impressive.
  13. Come on Leicester. Chance to put 4 points between us and 3rd (playing that 3rd on Wednesday). Enzo ball can take these as long as we are on out game! Blackburn to score first, we win 1-3. Vardy, Fatuwu and McAteer.
  14. He's been caught out when long balls have been played to the wing and in some 1 on 1 situations, but this 'he can't defend' crap has to stop. We have lost a left footed quick progresser of the ball with him being out we now have to over rely on JJ. Can't believe people dress up an injury as a positive
  15. Bang on, and a shortened version of what i was trying to say. VAR has been setup as a quality gate, where as on field and off field officials should be working as a team.
  16. Did the tour of the KP yesterday for the boys birthday, and when in the media room the subject of VAR came up. I had completely naively assumed that the VAR officials were at the ground for the game, but of course once we got talking it came back to me that they are in Stockley Park. However, my immediate reaction was that being at VAR HQ for the games must create a massive disconnect between the sets of officials. I get the premise that this setup is trying to remove ground bias from the decisions, but surely if the VAR officials need to be in constant communication with the on pitch officials, it would be better if they were operating as a team during the game, having pre match and half time sessions together to discuss the games and issues etc. Being off site must be so disconnected from what is going on. Might be wrong but in this instance it sounds like communication breakdown and then rigidily sticking with protocol has caused this one and I bet its because the sets of officials just got lost in what was going on and were not communicating effectively. If they work like they do with the Rugby TMO, they would work as a team rather than a 'quality gate'. I've long said we should scrap it unless only the technology can make instant decisions (like it does with goal line tech). I thought we had the tech to do instance offside decisions to i'm confused why we are still doing all this drawing lines rubbish. I'm actually not keen on overriding handball or foul decisions and would rather they were dealt with post match, issuing retrospective bans for dangerous play etc.
  17. Win here for Southampton is lovely, because i don't believe for one moment Russell Martin has turned this around. Leeds seem to be getting through their defence pretty easily this second half. Need to keep Brussell there for as long as possible.
  18. Ha! I always say to my son that if the burger has to be held together with a massive stick and just falls apart when you take it out, then its not a fecking burger. Jenga chips. Just **** off.
  19. We've recently moved house and downsized along the way. Split the equity between mine and the wifes accounts with the view that we will put as much as possible in mid term savings accounts whilst we renovate a new place. Money going into bank accounts from the sale was fine (naturally!). Sending money out has been a horrific experience. After the 2nd transfer my wifes account and all access to it was blocked. Several phone calls with fraud teams asking exactly where the money came from etc (as these are in India you invariably get cut off during a call and have to start again). Even when we forwarded over the final solicitors statement to prove funds the account wasn't unblocked, and were told we would have to visit the nearest branch. Nearest branch actually closed in Harborough the week before, so we had to take an outing to Kettering to go through the same process again. Just tried to pay an installment to our builders - account is going through fraud checks again. Wifey on the phone trying to sort. I appreciate these checks, but the process to unblock surely has to be better than calling teams who are clearly not equipped to deal with the situation, especially as they are closing branches at an alarming rate. The silly thing is i have a friend who had £1k fraudulently taken out of her account recently (iphone / facetime scam at a gym), and even though she responded to the new payee message (if you didnt you add this contact us....), the bank is refusing to deal with it.
  20. I tried. Ended up dreaming about Maya Jama again.
  21. When was the last time that happened?
  22. I think you have triggered in me thoughts about things i have never dreamed of. Headphones, Kebabs, Cats Eyes, Ballpoint pens, Golf, Pine Needles, USB Sticks, Satsumas The list is almost endless. But now I am genuinely doubting what i am dreaming about it. You've sent me into a spin.
  23. Yes. Be careful what you wish for sometimes. I thought owners went through a fit and proper test?
  24. Yeah - agree with that. Drop him for poor performance and let's move on. Really don't need to overthink the 10 excuses as to why its not working.
  25. Agree. He's played - that's all we care about now. Things aren't great with Nacho so it would genuinely be nice to see some progression from Daka.
