  1. No one said Skipp should get an automatic place and he was actually sidelined for most the season. My point in there is no evidence page is saying anything other rumours that have likely come from agents. If he gets his chance and is better than others, he will play.
  2. Completely agree, which is why im taking any rumours about Page with a massive pinch of salt. Agent pressure has always been there, but we have no actual proof Page is demanding anything at all other than a pathway. That pathway is earned, not given, and we can't create contracts for players with guaranteed playing time. I wish contract talks with kids was held completely behind closed doors. Its not healthy to have these sorts of rumours for 15/16/17 year olds.
  3. I think SW being run by a batshit owner who is trying to sell the club maybe had something to do with it. You still have to negotiate with the club. Also, articles about about how back room staff arent happy to have him back. Maybe, just maybe he didnt interview as well as we had hoped?
  4. Lol - im dyslexic. I meant dissent!! There was an article about how the fringe players were really frustrated after that game and Ruud was playing bad cop saying 'there are no favours at Leicester'. I think that game was the start of some really problematic issues behind the scenes. Certainly wasnt decent!
  5. Nah - thats nonsense. We went full strength, they didn't play a second team but rotated more than we did. They had a few decent spells but didnt outplay us. The game was heavily affected by the fog, but we weathered them pretty well which with the team we played we should have. This was a game we were crying out for some of the academy to play, and there were rumours of some decent behind the scenes after it.
  6. I would actually do what Maresca did. Go live at Seagrave and immerse myself in everything to do with the club, using every facility and piece of information i could get my hands on. When the first player arrives i would be there, and when the last leaves i would be there. Instill a tough work ethic into the group. I wouldn't worry too much about scraping off old wounds, just start laying the foundations for what feels right. Enzo made sure trophies were on display, so ensure similar stuff is about for people to feel proud of the big club. I certainly wouldn't be browsing internet forums Then i would go and kick Faes in the bollocks.
  7. Unless Dorsett is a liar
  8. I would argue you go slap bang in the middle and mix youth and experience, but get rid of the big problems such as Soumare/Faes etc. If that team makes the playoffs, its a success. A year later, that team can go on and win the Championship and have a much better stab at the PL a year later.
  9. Wholeheartedly disagree. That isn't a thing this time, especially if we focus on nurturing the youth talent which is the right thing to do. Playoffs would be a good result for us, with a view that as the young players mature and improve they become much more of a force then next 2 seasons,
  10. I want him gone. He's not getting better and if is in the squad next season will spend about 1/3 the season injured. Its time to blood the new kids are actually far more skilled than he is with the ball.
  11. Its the selling bit thats the problem.
  12. Great news. Each of the Academy players who are able to step up is like a new signing to us. This includes Alves who is now ready. These guys can progress / shine and make a huge impact for us with the right blend of experience. Ship off whats needed (Faes, Vesty, Mads, Daka, Ndidi, Bouba, Coady to name a few). Try the darndest to keep BEK. I'm even slightly warming to keeping Ayew if his wages are ok as can play a few positions, especially if we cant get a striker. Looking forward to seeing Mavididi and Fatawu playing on the wings again. This could actually be ok.
  13. What are shef weds paying Rohl?
  14. He might have an idea who the new owners might be. If they are wealthy and not crackpot nutters he might think its a good opportunity. His current contract might be a bitch to get out of. He might be serious nut job himself and interviewed badly for us. Could be anything/
  15. Talksport likely misunderstanding some of the rumours around compensation.
  16. I actually prefer this to Rohl.
  17. I only went for a shit and when i come back there is a new manager to moan about.
  18. If you mention them, then it won't be them will it........
  19. I thought it was cleared up that they are still negotiating.
  20. Based on the fact we love anyone who has ever worked at Southampton, i guessing Ivan Jurić will be tomorrows tip.
  21. You would presume Rohl has done bugger all since the last game of the season and is well rested and ready to go. Presume he has someone dealing with the contracts for him. Managers don't often want to be out of the game for too long, and i presume would rather be as involved as possible with pre season.
  22. When has he ever been interviewed?
  23. ooooh - whos that then........ Are you ITK.
  24. Fair enough. Its just the speed stuff like this gets jumped on as a serious widespread issue before we even know the details. Saying that, with everything going on, and the (lack of) speed the club have dealt with relegation this time around, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were cashflow issues at play right now. Again - i know nothing, but running a business I know how bloody tight it can get sometimes, especially if you are owed money. And i have to say, if i was managing the account, having to transfer nearly 100k to Bouba's bank account would be enough to send me over the edge.
