  1. So Coady only entertained this move to get out of the bleep test today. The lazy basta**.
  2. Thats your opinion. If he was fit for the senior squad then he would have been in the squad. I presume a decision was made that following the U21 he needed a bit more time for a top tier important match. He was coming back from quite a long layoff.
  3. Eyes will Rohl for sure
  4. Just bear in mind that only £40 has been traded in the Betfair exchange. Its a good indicator that next to no money is being put on this anywhere and the odds are meaningless.
  5. Scenes when the announcement starts at 14hrs
  6. Academy - this is what its all about. I would take just missing out of the playoffs if it meant we were preparing the next generation properly. Next year could be a development year that gets everyone ready to nail the championship the year after and then the academy graduates are in a better more prepared spot for a PL the season afterwards.
  7. Southampton come off the back of one of the worst PL campaigns ever. Will Still is a massive risk - it will go one of 2 ways, and right now im not convinced. McKenna had a worse record that Ruud this calendar year, even though he had his own staff and was backed handsomely with funds. Sheff Utd looked doggo every time i watched them towards the end of the season, and signed then benched someone who wasn't good enough for us. Too many variables, but let's not assume everyone is somehow laughing and skipping towards Championship brilliance just yet.
  8. Stolarczyk wasn’t in the squad. He came back the next game
  9. I imagine Ward will have No2 stipulated into that contract. Can't risk actually playing.
  10. Bang on. Even this month i was in NY and someone from our clients company recognised my tshirt and said ' i love that story - man'. We are well known.
  11. I think the middle (and even upper tier) of top flight football is just very very samey. We seem to be over coaching so many to play a specific style / system where we take away what made them great in the first place. I know he was never worth anywhere what Man City paid for him, but i wish Grealish went somewhere else other than Man City to see how he might have developed if he had the freedom to do so, rather than watch him battle with Pep to just become someone else. But, whilst the stats show that systems work, and results over long season benefit from robots rather than flair, nothing will change. Then of course, you get a generational talent like Yamal pop up and every seams to do everything they can to make sure other youth players don't shine like he does. Sorry - massively off topic. Lets hope Rhol is announced this week and we get moving pretty sharpish to get everything in shape for the season.
  12. I take issue with this. Yes he did, but he went to Chelsea. If any of the big 6 come calling, any up and coming manager is going to go for it. If the top 6 weren't looking, Maresca would have stayed. It was much less likely he was going to move sideways or take a small step upwards to midtable. If Rohl was here, and he did well, it would have to be a bigger club that would convince him to go. But then, we want managers like that surely?
  13. Id rather have the concern of having a good manager that might be on clubs radars than one who we are going to be lumbered with and either have to sack or will just see out his contract. We need to get to the situation where we have the next candidates lined up, rather than thinking Dyche will be here forever because no one will be pay a severance fee for him.
  14. This is a pretty naive comment. Priorities and funds change all the time. How many workers trust that their existing employers might not pivot, change their team dynamic or even make redundancies? A manager needs to be adaptable. I also hate this notion that Rodgers was somehow hard done by in the transfer market. He is one of the biggest causes of where we find ourselves now.
  15. Does this mean we are allowed to like Winks again?
  16. Wern't you saying a little while ago that there wont be a manager change? Or did i misunderstand?
  17. Will be fine against Kilmarnock etc
  18. Maybe Ruud would have done a better job if we was actually allowed to employ a team and sign someone (notwithstanding Woyo who was bargain basement stuff anyway). If Ruud isn't good enough, neither is Edwards. Bring on Rohl!
  19. Double relegation? Really?
  20. Coady to rangers seems feasible. We have to offload Bouba, Victor and Ndidi at least, and Riccy had said he wants out. We need decent funds for Mads and we need to sort something out for Daka. Then there is Faes who wants out as well. Need to keep BEK. And we need a manager plus coaching staff.
  21. If that's the case the we are royally screwed. It could take many weeks from initial approach to finalising a manager/coach. Pre season starts next week, and we haven't even had one outgoing yet. They must have been approaching people if they knew Ruud was going.
  22. Well - not really. Unless we know the terms of a Dyche or Rohl proposal we can't make any comment of financial implications. But, (and this is a big assumption) if Dyche and his team has priced in their experience which includes several PL seasons, then i think its fair to believe he might command a higher salary than Rohl. Remember, when these contracts are locked in we have to pay the contract in full if we sack them. So, even taking Sheff Weds severance into consideration, Dyche could still be more expensive during the term of the contract. All that matters really is when it starts from a PSR perspective. Thats all assumptions by the way, but i think its fair to say Dyche might command a higher salary. He isn't free at all - it all costs. I don't think any of that is being a smart arse at all, or funny. Just reality of contract negotiations.
  23. Does Dyche and his staff not want to take a Salary? If so - thats amazing.
  24. Dyche makes such little sense, and i can see it happening in about 8 days time
