Celtic friend of mine says they're in for Mathias Kvistgaarden. I'd take him here if he'd come.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Seems like he doesn't really rate him, which would explain benching him more often then we'd like. -
I'd be tempted to sell if we're getting into the 18m+ range.
-
I think he's free to talk to foreign clubs for the summer window - maybe that's what is happening?
-
Could see it as a dry loan, maybe.

Wonder if we could get Daizen Maeda off of Celtic? Plays off the left or through the middle, runs his socks off (very Okazaki like in that regard) and presses non-stop. Lacking a bit technically, but so are a lot of our wingers at the moment.
-
Is this going to be Lookman 2.0? Don't think he got enough chances while he was here, but would much rather we were bringing him on than McAteer or BDR.
-
I agree - but the fear is that Mads is out for a long time, or (hopefully not) the rest of the season. Jakub doesn't seem to be doing too bad, but maybe Ruud thinks otherwise.

Btw, if this isn't evidence to never let Sean Dyche near our club, I don't know what is.

Whatever happens with the footballing project, we need a total rethink of our recruitment when we go down. We need a unified vision from a DoF who has half a clue. Tap into under utilised markets. We're pretty good at looking at Scandinavia, but Eastern Europe/Central Asia/Japan/Korea/South America are all places teeming with talent. Buy to sell - we need the Brighton mentality of having two players waiting in the wing for every first teamer; so when one of the big boys come sniffing, we aren't left in a whole in our squad for 5+ years like we had at RW, for example. The game has changed and you can't really expect loyalty, so everybody needs to be a replaceable cog. It's not a romantic view of football, but it's that or slogging it in the lower leagues. It will also encourage us to move players on. We left so much money on the table by letting the likes of Tielemans, Soyuncu, Kelechi etc walk for free because we were afraid to sell when their value was high and lose quality in our squad. We need to stop looking for finished products, recruit and develop players (would also need a coach with that mindset). Use the academy. This means committing to a philosophy and instilling that in players coming through the academy like La Masia or one of the other big boy academies. That philosophy should also guide managerial appointments. While I'm at it, I feel like we should move to the head coach model, and retain more power in the club proper rather than ping-ponging back and forth based on what each manager feels like doing. Continuity is so important and no other successful business worth this much operates by changing direction every 18 months.

Watch Ange get fired in time for us to get absolutely battered by Ryan Mason (Interim)

I do think it's time, but I'm wary of being sold to Americans who are looking to wring every penny out of the club; don't expect them to push for getting rid of the clappers/cheaper tickets/standing etc.

I dont know how we make PSR without selling him and KDH.

Sander Berge was very good for them; signed for them for about the same money we paid for Skipp in the same window. Our current position is the culmination of hundreds of decisions like that- 228 replies

Can't get blood from a stone. Maybe 5 players in the squad that have enough character to show any grit or determination -

Worse than Cooper, just better dressed and more handsome. Won a lot of people over just based on that - could probably write a thesis on that honestly. -
cooper was shit and the players we signed for him were shit too (bilal excluded), but was he worse than this?
-
i assume he hasn't been brought up to speed on everything yet or he's pony

Ignoring for a second that that's insanely bad business from us (a given, at this point), that isn't how sell on clauses usually work. It'll be 25% of any money we earn over what we paid. They won't get that much unless we make 21m.

Hah, you caught me out there - should probably pay more attention to the screen and not foxestalk

Amad Diallo is really something off the bench, seems like he's always winning games at the death for them.
