Few obervations: 2 great saves from Mads, again. Justin looked like he is scared to sprint forward/change direction quickly. I think he is still some way off being back to what he was, physicality wise, before knee injury. If he ever gets there. Praet has good quality but doesn't offer 50% of the dynamism of ndidi, casadei and yunus. He doesn't burst into that right channel for fatawu to play through and so we end up with less opportunities to get in behind. Thought fatawu, vardy, mavididi, faes, Ricardo and Winks were top notch. I'd have KDH and mavididi on the brain training thoufh wmas some of their decision making is shocking...

But i've always thought there's something suss about Barkley's temperament and ability to regularly get the best out of himself which is why he's ended up swimming about the loan and promo'd clubs end of the market. Not sure he's had a fair crack of the whip in his career and so he could well be just the sort of person (Like Albrighton) who flourishes at Leicester despite not elswhere. personally though, i'd love it if i saw us being a little more creative than Barkley who feels like a bargain end of the market. even though we've been relegated, i think our long term curve should still mean we see ourselves as a top 12, top 10 premier league team who had 1 **** up of a season. Only bit that grates me there is we spent £10m on Coady which has prevented us signing any of the midfield targets we had. 20/20 hindsight I suppose as Enzo was probably told Lurch was a goner. But still makes it feel like we need our moneys worth out of the signing.

I'm not sure we are ready for just how good Fatawu is going to be. He has got it all. The improvement in his delivery since he arrived, when applied to his finishing will put him in the same stratosphere as Mahrez. He's quicker, can defend and his stats for a 19yo are unbelievable. €17m will be a 5th of the buy out clause we put in immediately om signing him. I wouldn't be surprised if Pep already has his eyes on, given how well he suits Pep ball.

I don't understand the Coady hate. He was out injured. Lerch got the nod and can pass quite well but not run at all. There is nothing to suggest (as far as i can see) that we wouldn't win, and probably play slightly quicker, if a combo of Coady and Faes or Nelson and Faes were to play. I think we'd give the ball away slightly more, but we would also have slightly more recovery pace to atone for those errors.

Genuinely don't think this entirely home grown squad would get obliterated by a Watford or similar champo team. Great to see that 8 of these have had first team games this season, when for years we have only had scraps coming through in a meaningful way. Would still be nice for an home grown striker to emerge.
