  1. Who bought those into the club for less than 1/5th of a Barnes BTW?
  2. McAteer clearly fits the profile that enzo wants in that position of someone mobile and 6ft plus to provide threat in the box. He's wanted it with Ndidi, Casadie and now Mcateer, which should give us the threat of someone at the far and near post when the wide mean put balls into the box. Makes a lot of sense. i see Yunus more as a KDH character who can track back but primarily is to run with the ball and get us going forward through the middle.
  3. Hemansen Ricardo Faes Vestergaard Doyle Winks Fatawu McAteer KDH Mavididi Cannon
  4. I'll take Maidstone 5th round at our place, then another shit club in 6th and give ourselves 1 difficult tie to make it to a Wembley semi final.
  5. Are there any working streams someone could DM. I love horror sequels
  6. Half of these aren't even regularly on our bench to be fair.
  7. The difference with Ipswich v Maidstone was Ipswich with 10 changes absolutely pinged the ball around and hit everything but the back off the net. We had a hard game and opportunity for 5th round (winners of which get £450k BTW which could make a difference to FFP calculation) and are playing like a bag of shit strangers by all accounts.
  8. THe new youngster should provide good COVER. Given brum have gone full strength we are going to struggle for coherence and attacking threat here i think. James and Dembele for them could be the difference. Looked great Formation looks like: Stola Nelson Coady Doyle Cover Choudhury (THIS AXIS SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME) Albrighton Yunus Praet Marcal Vardy
  9. Maybe Alves is in the squad for Swansea instead as we looked short of trickery at 8 / 10 v Ipswich
  10. my issues with tactics: love winning, but would be happy to lose 1 or 2 more if the style were more entertaining / dynamic. games this season are roughly 80% watching vestegaard, faes, hermansen and justin with their foot on the ball (which is boring as ****) 20% watching KDH, Mavididi, Fatawu try to score or progress up the pitch (which is really exciting). so the tactics ensure about 15-20 mins of excitment per game for about £50-60 invested which is worse value than the granny gram that Rooney used to visit back in the day. Put simply i'd rather us try and play more like a Klopp team than a Pep team. Heavy Metal, not Heavy Going. That would mean playing Coady/Faes (who can both pass and can turn marginally quicker than a glacier), still have the chance to invert Ricardo / Justin when we are on the ball, but importantly try to get Mavi, Fatawu, Yunus, Cannon, Daka, Vardy, KDH on to the ball a higher proportion of the time. Winning is great and all that, but watching the post formation formations at work in the Ipswich game was just plain ridiculous at times. Faes stood at LB, Choudhury stood at CB, Vest stood at RB, Ricardo in midfield. KDH inside right when he's one legged. It was no wonder Ipswich eventually became more bold and took hold of the game. I understand Vestegaard is a flat track bully in terms of his ability to pick a pass over 10 yds in the championship. But everyone KNOWS that he won't be able to fulfil that role in the Prem and so giving him 30 odd % of our time on the ball means the fans know we aren't really building the spine of a new prem team. It will have to be completely recast when we go up as the lynchpin of the system will get torn a 3rd arsehole by prem forwards who are fast and can finish.
  11. I don''t care about the religion thing. I care that we are supposed to be fighting like **** to get back in the premier league and he's pissed up at nearly two in the morning 2 days before our biggest game of the season. If i were Enzo i'd stick him in the u23's and tell him he's lucky he's not going to Forest Green on loan.
  12. He's not signed has he?
  13. A win tonight and everyone will be happy. Lose tonight and the wheels will have fallen off. Such is football I think a Nuge/Vardy style partnership wil really throw Ipswich. Hermansen Faes Vest Doyle Justin Winks KDH Ricardo Vardy Cannon Mavididi
  14. Which is handy because for the past 12 months Chelsea have played like a pub team. He has qualities Fernández, Caicedo and Gallagher don't have. One of which is his ability to arrive for crosses. That's it really. Who's round is it....
  15. I think Casadei might do alright in the Chelsea team. He's got something they don't have which is a 6ft2 player arriving in the box late who can head the ball. They put a LOT in to the box and I can see him getting goals if they give him a chance.
  16. Maybe Casadei will be loaned back to Inter!
  17. The fact this.doesnt free up space/money to.bring someone in is crackers. If we have no fatawu, casadei, kdh on Monday we will be looking a bit threadbare.
  18. Similar to unheralded Wes Morgan. When forest implode we should sign Ryan Yates who will become a herculean dcm, allowing mavididi and fatawu, winks and kdh to become a premier league dominating midfield
  19. it grows lesslikely the longer we get into the window without shifting Praet or Ward. Feels like Ward is the key as he carries a big wage and a big salary. If we have to actively SELL him then clubs will be leaving it late to try and have our pants down. With Daka and Iheanacho playing AFCON until end of the window i wouldn't imagine one of those will be transferred in January.
  20. For me. Ricardo on the right. Then bring Yunus / NcAteer into the mix if needed. Hermansen Justin Faes Vestegaard Doyle Winks Ricardo Casadei KDH Mavididi Cannoooooooooonbaaaallllllllll
  21. DOn't think we should get too carried away with being light or short on quality during Jan/Feb. For the Ipswich game (assuming Vardy now training & fit) we have 12 players who are fit to compete for the 5 more attacking positions in the team: Two 8's, LW, RW, Striker. Mavididi (9 goals, lots of assists) McAteer (5 goals) Albrighton (recent assist as sub) Yunus (recent assist in big win) Casadei (recent headed goals and assists) KDH (one of divisions top goal scorers/assistors) Praet (international quality to bring off the bench) Alves (unknown x Factor to bed in to the team). Cannon (3 goals in last 3) Vardy (legend) Wanya Marcal - hasn't pulled up any trees but can certainly do a job on the right or left Maswanhise - untested but clearly rated above average by the 1st team coaches. We then have Iheanacho, Daka, Fatawu coming back which means we have 3 whole sets of 5 players we could play for any given game. It's super strong when you consider we also have competition at left back/right back/centre back. Goalie and Winks are the only positions we don't have adequate cover for.
  22. We only have 1 fit attacker.
  23. Erm. Are people aware we are playing with 10men? Doesn't read like it on here? We have 1 striker fit on the books so taking him off so he doesn't kill himself was exactly the right call even if it limits us. McAteer for Mavididi was correct. He ran the risk of getting sent off as he was getting booed every time he touched the ball. Not sure what game some people are watching.
  24. Well that wasnt very good.
