  1. We are going to Need Vardy, Nacho, Justin and Coady to play a role in next 2 games. 9 points and I think we are going to be top. It's a big ask though 3 games in 7 days...
  2. Hermansen for me. Completely nailed the goalkeeping position after a shitshow ever since kasper left. Enabling us to play a style we never could under Kasper, Ward or any other goalies we've had. Also, and often forgotten, his shotstopping has been another level ever since keeping out Haji Wright in the first game of the season. Particularly given that its usually been nothing to face for 40mins and then 2 or 3 guilt edged chances for the opposition. Ricardo second for me. Even at his worst has been a 7 and is the biggest miss when not available. KDH, Mavididi, Fatawu, Vardy have been our match winners and have some impressive goal and assist stats. That said, when they have been poor, they have been 4 out of 10 and cost us games with missed chances and stinking performances, which for me rule sthem out of player of the season. The fact KDH is ahead of Connor Chaplin, Adam Armstrong, Georgino Rutter is quite hard to understand for me. He's got better assist stats, worse goal stats and for me hasn't been quite the same player since the Jan window closed. Maybe coming back a bit now. Young Player would be Fatawu. Easy to forget he's 19 as when he's been good he's been truly outstanding.
  3. totally agree. they also talk about the physicality being a massive thing in the championship. i just don't see it. i think they pace and power of premier league players is WAY superior to what i've seen in the championship. I also agree that i don't think that we've done anything to improve defensively apart from Hermansen being a much better goalkeeper. This is clear when you look at our record v 'good' teams this season where we have conceded 3 or 4 to Leeds, Liverpool, Chelsea. who are the only Premier League quality teams we've played; (i'm not counting Bournemouth reserves or Southampton down to 10men). When you look at it like that. We are still operating a system personnel which would be shipping 3 or 4 per week in the prem like last time we were in it.
  4. that pass to the byline would be an absolute winner if we had anyone any good making the run, but all year it's been ndidi, akgun and casadei, none of whom are dyed in the wool inside rights. If Alves makes it, then maybe him and fatawu can strike up a link in that space next season. hopefully in the prem. they are going to have to because KDH and Ndidi will be long since gone!
  5. Currently the problem is we get the ball out to him slow and he's got a choice of cross it to 1 person in the box v 3 defenders or slide rule pass to ndidi who hasn't quite made the run in to the box. So 9 out of 10 he passes it back to choudhury who passes it in to faes and the whole ****tardy merry go round starts again
  6. It is a bit like a slow motion car crash. You can see it all happening but there's very little I think the club can do about it. We can't limit middling teams chances they are getting plenty. We dont create as much as we should and we dont finish when we do. its a recipe for mixed results and thats what we are getting. Teams have sussed us more and more unfortunately as the season has gone on. How to get at vesty how to nullify our front three and how to target our channels. All have been evident this season but now being routinely exploited. With current momentum we will be pitted against form teams like Hull, Coventry or Sunderland who we have struggled against in the playoffs. If we don't come through that then the EFL has a massive shit sandwich of penalties and fines waiting for us next season. A real sliding doors moment for the future of the club and hard to see where the warriors and personalities are who are going to drag us through.
  7. Yep. Looks like starting next season in the champ with a 10 point deduction is going to be even betting post Monday where I can't see us beating Norwich. To be honest I couldn't see us beating an egg at the moment.
  8. That is A LOT of minutes in the legs of ampadu, rodon, James and a lot of disappointment..
  9. Doesn't matter if Burns or Rutter are injured. Hopefully they rush them back in and they don't play as well as they have been doing. All we can do is put out a strong team and beat Bristol City and whoever else is put in front of us. Hermansen Faes Vest Doyle Ricardo Winks Fatty Ndidi KDH Mavi Vardy we should only deviate from the above team if they have a note from their mum or have forgot their kit. Have Justin, Choudhury, Coady, Sharky, Cannon, Daka, Ian, Nelson on the bench the rest of the season and use them if needed
  10. Hermansen Faes Vestergarard Justin Ricardo Winks Fatawu Ndidi KDH Mavididi Vardy repeat this until promoted
  11. We. Are. Absolute. Dogshit
  12. Faes and Hamza could have expected an able bodied human being not to let Jackson just walk past him. That's why they were caught unawares. This will damage us for going up.
  13. THAT is why we have been living a mirage all season. Vestergaard will NEVER be able to play prem football. That was like watching a celeb in the soccer aid game trying to keep up with an old pro. The man is a ****ing wardrobe.
  14. Guiness double the price of the Nags in Harborough
  15. I hope Daka dons his shooting boots and scores as much as the next fan, but i've seen him in big games play like an absolute bandit, miss massive chances and all the fans go 'never again'. Cannon is a better all round player (just my personal view), Iheanacho has way better FA Cup pedigree (this is a stone cold fact) . No doubt Daka's got pace and helps us stretch the opposition.
  16. Cannon or Nacho have to start ahead of Daka. He's wank.
  17. leicester v cov at Wembley would be a great outcome.
  18. I agree that no one cares any more about Leicester's exploits in the Champs Lge, but I like the class with which we represented ourselves in the tournament. Which feels like it's what the tournament should be about; a celebration of that years best teams in Europe. We put on a great spectacle and received standing ovations from the opposition teams, win, lose or draw all the way through to the Quarter Finals. Apparently (quoted in the post match press conferences) Arteta told the opposition manager from Porto to go **** his mother last night, at which point he confirmed to Arteta that his mother was no longer with us. Arteta then speask to the press as if he is some sort of footballing philosopher, when the reality is he is about as measured as Joey Barton. You can't buy class.
  19. All out for Chelsea. All out for Bristol City. There's no point resting for Chelsea when we have 2 weeks before the next league game and our exposure to internationals is quite limited. Nothing for Choudhury, Coady, Nelson, Justin, Doyle, Vestegaard, Winks, Mavi, Vardy, Cannon to do during international break so it's not like our whole squad will be away on duty. Hermansen Choudhury Coady Vestegaard Doyle Winks Fatawa Ndidi KDH Marcal Vardy
  20. Philogene and Carvalho a worry for us today.
  21. I think he's gone with the stats. Faes and Lurch have been present during most wins and so if we need to win then go with that. Yunus and KDH are my main worry. Both pretty poor in last few.
  22. the issue creating these rules is the presence of sovereign wealth funds (Man City, Newcastle) and ridiculous investment groups (Fenway etc) in football, attracted by the enormous potential value of clubs. If it were against premier league rules for these entities to be owners, and clubs had to be owned / financed by individuals, then the ability of clubs to drive up costs for the rest would be much more limited. I think the sooner they create the Sovereign Wealth Super League and reset the Premier League and EFL rules on ownership the better
  23. It was clear in January that a black cloud had gone over the club. We stalled on a tiny transfer and you could see that Enzo and some of the players looked like they had been given some shit news which stalled the feel good atmosphere around the club. Book balancing wise - we have massive assets in Dewsbury-Hall, Soumare, Kristiansen, Souttar, Daka, Iheanacho, Ndidi - none of whom are going to set the premier league alight. We could also potentially shift Vestergaard to an ambitious champhionship club in the close season. That has to get us near to £100m + even at fire sale prices. Dewsbury Hall alone will go for £30-40m you'd have thought, which would be good business for me, because it's clear he cant be attacking leader of the team v premier league opposition. I think it's then a task for Enzo to bring in players that he identifies from Italy, Championship, Youth Team, elswehere for a lower figure. If we retain a core of Hermansen Coady Faes Winks Ricardo Justin Mavididi, Fatawu we will at least have something to build around - even if we have to shop in the bargain bin and hope for some luck.
