the bench is ridiculous. fatawu, 3 strikers. should be going hell for leather here.

only 'evolution' i think we need post the leeds game is for the players to feel confident to play the forward pass if the other team are open wide. at the minute we are a little bit like someone who has been taught a skill but isn't yet confident to do it without thinking yet. Like a junior cyclist just after the training wheels come off. Quite often you can see the players thought process as they choose to check back and build again, when the obvious pass in front of them is open but they daredn't take it. to really kick on the players need to make it up on the fly a little more often. I think if we play 90% as 'taught' by Enzo and have 10% where we just go with what is on then we will be really taking teams apart.

The issues were threefold: -Two number 8s didn't do the job needed of them: KDH and Casadei didn't show for or use the ball well which put us under pressure. Casadei was basically the kid on the team everyone knows not to pass to meaning Faes, Ricardo had a difficult night. - Vardy/Iheanacho dropped deep to link (seemingly on orders) and this further highlighted that casadei and KDH didn't make it in to the box or use the ball well in the final 3rd. - Quality and timing of balls Into the box was not great. Mavididi and Fatawu played well but were tentative on playing the ball into the box because we didn't have the 4 people in the box we should've done. That needs worked on. I think having mcateer, yunus, ndidi available has kept things competitive up to now in attacking midfield and with them not there we don't have that extra 10% performance.

McAteer for Casadei

Well played fatawu. Now get at him again.

Ndidi and Nacho would have been good here.

Just driving back, as I entered the village an adult fox crossed the road bold as brass, stopped and looked at me and strolled off in to a field. 4-1 win to the Foxes.

we have the tactics to beat them, we just need an 8/10 performance rather than a 7/10 from KDH, Ricardo, Fatawu, Justin and Mavididi. With Faes, Vest, Hermansen and Winks we know what we will get from them - they've not been much below 8 all seson. It's loose passes or mistakes elsewhere which will expose us or invite the opposition on ie KDH loose pass, wingers giving the ball away 2 or 3 times in quick succession that kind of thing Our difference makers play well, we win, i think it's that simple.

Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at

We should go in for Jobe Bellingham in Jan. Potential like his brother, and could play that Ndidi / Casadei role brilliantly if he keeps progressing. Get in on the ground floor. Only 18 -
Our games after leeds and middlesborough are a joke. Watford, Sheff Weds, Plymouth, West Brom, Milwall, Birmingham, Rotherham. We should be taking 18 out of 21 points from that last 7 games. So by the time we play Ipswich we could be on 60 points half way through the season. Most points after 23 games is Reading's 56. We should be aiming to beat that after the start we've had and how much other clubs will be feeling the harshness of the season over the next weeks.

Ndidi

Is Ndidid definitely out?

I will reserve my ire for those in Hamas and those in the Israeli army who are killing innocent people rather than engaging in diplomacy, rather than people with affected families, friends, relatives reacting to those events a little more emotionally than we might like.

Ward prowse plays his position
-
Hermansen Justin Faes Vestergaard Ricardo Winks Ndidi Hall Fatawu Iheanacho Mavididi
-
A 5nil going into tough games against Leeds etc wouldn't have had us on our toes so hopefully a hard fought game will remind them they aren't Brazil.
-
You'd imagine Ricardo, Ian, McAteer will get a run at 60mins.
-
I imagine after the Leeds game might be the first time we see him in a squad, but would be amazing if he were straight in to the squad if he's fit.
-
Hermansen Justin Coady Vestergaard Marcal Choudhury Fatawu Casadei Ndidi Yunus Daka Rest Ricardo, Winks, KDH, Faes, Iheanacho, Mavididi. Alves on the bench to get him nearer the 1st team
-
Over the moon that it looks like we will have Braybrooke, Alves, McAteer and cannon back in the fold before end of November. They could be influential in covering the system we have in place as the season progresses. Teams won't be expecting someone of Alves quality or a different type of striker when we play them second time. And McAteers' versatility will really help.

LCFC 1-0 Sunderland - Post Match Thread
FosseSpark replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought Justin and Ricardo's recovery/closing down pace seemed to be back somewhere nearer to where it used to be for the first time ina long time. Often it looked like it came as a bit of a surprise to them aswell, but both them put in some really good bursts to get back or to get clear of someone on the break. do we know the expected return on Doyle? shape wise we have definitely changed our style since not having a left footed in the back 3, 4. -
We should be looking to do a professional cup style job against QPR. Just get it done rather than looking for a statement. We should then look to have our absolute best XI out for Leeds. A team with 4 forwards going for it should play into the hands of a plan that Enzo can put together.
