He talks about “the plan” yet I can’t think of a recent manager who’s been as bland and void of a clear plan.

His signing reflects where we are right now. Is it lazy to compare him to Reid and think what a better signing he is?

Do you actually read the well reasoned and rationale messages that people post about Cooper?!? Not aimed solely at you but some posters seem to all jump to the same conclusion about fans not convinced by Cooper but ignore the countless constructive posts stating why they have concerns over him.

The same player (Fatawu) who he started for the first 3 PL games?! Cooper like most managers talk absolute guff.

So I’m not trying to compete with many great posters about tactics @StriderHiryu etc BUT I can’t shake how bad we are defensively as a team under Cooper. Look at where Faes is - he’s so far away from his CB partner in Okoli and this happens in every game….best CB pairings work as a unit. We concede so many chances and like others have said Southampton could have been out of sight in the first half and we’d have no complaints. It’s not realistic to want Cooper out based on our last two results but he still isn’t our long term solution and as long as the board see that, I’ll just enjoy the now.

Him making one sub at a time really winds me up. I can’t see him making three changes with his one sub left….such a horrible manager in so many ways.

Do we ignore that Villa went and got Emery, when Gerrard had them only outside of the relegation zone (due to goals scored) after 12 games 😴

Sorry but the Brighton fans not wanting Potter back was due to how he left them and cleared out their entire back room staff and took Bruno with him, who was a bit of a local legend for them. I’m not saying Potter is a million times better than Cooper but the difference is night and day. Cooper wouldn’t have got the Chelsea gig for starters.

The issue remains that whether Enzo was insistent on Jannik re-signing or not….we once again let the manager NOT a quality DoF (who ultimately outlasts numerous managers) have their say. Jannik was very good for us last season in a lower league but he had big question marks (with or without Enzo) about being able to have such a positive impact in the PL yet we still offered him a silly contract length wise (as no one knows his salary) when a look at the squad was evident….bringing in an athletic CB was needed. Hopefully Jannik doesn’t repeat history and actually looks at enjoying his last few seasons as a pro footballer and moves on as probably best for both parties.

Just an observation but the divide on here is surely at an all time high. That in itself is surely a red flag about Cooper’s suitability both short and long term at the club.

Why would the Champions of the Championship have such low confidence though? Cooper’s comments since joining have been hideous, he has zero in game tactics and his apparent obsession with PL experience sum up his very clear limitations.

Hideous lack of attacking threat. Nulify Stephy and Buonanotte and we offer absolutely nothing. Vardy sadly can’t run the channels and neither can Ayew. Our lack of press is reason 101 that I want Cooper out of our club.

Listening to it on WYS. His comments about being a Premier League team not a Premier League club irk me so much. He says about being positive yet makes those comments. I can’t stand the guy.

What I liked other than the open play finishes was he looked a lot more mobile/dare I say able to get around the pitch. If he keeps fit, bags 15+ goals then at worst we surely break even on the lad.

Enzo is clearly better in all aspects than Cooper, that’s why he’s at Chelsea and Cooper wouldn’t ever be considered there. One thing for sure, I don’t think we’d have seen Ayew, Reid etc rocking up if Enzo was here. I can’t think of one trait about Cooper that inspires me. I’m not even wanting Enzo back, he left, we moved on but like the LCFC fan that phoned up TalkSport last week, we’ve gone from an iPhone 16 to a Nokia.
