  1. This post 100% đŸ™ŒđŸ» I wouldn’t have begrudged Corberan coming here but he has more question marks against him than Potter IMO. Potter left Brighton in a much better place than when he took over from Hughton.
  2. A very good post mate. I guess the only bit worth considering is that Potter obviously saw the Chelsea gig as a huge opportunity and having his coaching team around him would have given him the best chance to succeed which obviously didn’t happen regardless.
  3. I could actually see us accepting an offer on Ricky. 1) He’s on huge wages 2) His injury record As others said, seems a really nice bloke and before his first injury was way too good for us but whilst I’d be gutted if he went, I’d actually understand the logic behind it too.
  4. Would a well balanced review not have seen some sort of changes to the current set up?
  5. 100% this. I don’t have complete faith in the board but players are on holiday, the league starts in two months today. The panic on here is definitely overboard.
  6. 123 pages of the same people being Rudkin apologists or others asking for accountability. Might as well lock this thread as Rudders is a bigger part of the furniture than Filbert.
  7. I guess the big difference that hasn’t been mentioned in the comparison between Man City’s and our current situation is our financial difficulties. Almost an added element of needs must and embrace our academy players as important squad players
.Braybrooke as an example surely wouldn’t offer any less than a homesick/lazy Bouba surely?
  8. Legend!!
  9. Sign him up. He clearly has something about him, he won’t be asking for silly money and if didn’t kick on he would be sold at 100% profit - or in classic LCFC style
he leaves on a free 😱
  10. His t-shirt on the final day summed him up for me. Probably a a nice guy but a bit out of touch with reality. Thanks for the FA cup run but people on here seem to go kinder on him than other players
.he had some below average periods here, could argue all of this Championship season as a prime example.
  11. Would we though? Coady, Faes, Souttar and Nelson are already here. We need a CB who isn’t running in treacle and had an opportunity to let one of our high earners leave. It seems such a knee jerk decision to me considering we won’t have 60% possession and will have our defenders running back to goal
.not a skill set you’d ever consider Jannik for.
  12. A hideous decision and before someone comes in with FFP rationale
.the board best be sure someone comes in for Coady/Souttar or having 4 CB’s in Faes, Vesty, Coady, Souttar all with zero pace is a criminal offence.
  13. That’s the spirit mate! I hate how we’ve been run as a club in recent times but this type of negativity can’t be good for you bud.
  14. The writing was on the wall for him when he wasn’t consistently making Spurs’ starting 11 at times by the end of the season. A very good player but can’t stay fit for a whole season either. I found these stats from SkySports quite interesting -
  15. Well you could say both have futures up in the air right now? However, I must have forgot that it was Faes who has been named in the PL and Bundesliga best 11’s before 🙈
  16. His odds have proper dropped since checked the other day. He actually has an impressive coaching background
anyone know of what coaches he has worked with previously?
  17. I’ve been consistent with my hatred for Wout. Never been a fan, a poor man’s Cags.
  18. Or on the flip side, our wage bill which has been our biggest issue is still above our rivals (bottom 6/8 clubs). It’s why I would only renew Vardy’s contract out of any players who are running out this summer. We can’t be handing out more 70/80k contracts which Yannik/Wilf etc will be asking for.
  19. Thanks Wilf but it’s the end of your LCFC journey for me. He hasn’t got the legs and can’t shake how bad he looked in the PL last time out. He scored a couple of important goals but looked very leggy since his return from injury this season too.
  20. This 100% This thread is like therapy and anger at the same time. I hate everything about the short little tw*t. Him talking about us to the media stirs all sorts of rage towards him too, where’s Will Smith when you need him?
  21. You had me until I saw Soumare in the starting 11. Him letting anyone ghost past him again is a big no thanks for me.
  22. The chances are that he’s not going anywhere and I have criticized Enzo at times this season BUT reckon this place will be absolutely toxic when we lose our first few games. The players clearly have a lot of respect for Enzo, so for stability - let’s hope he stays but we’ve also learnt from previous mistakes and don’t offer him a silly contract off the back of these rumours.
  23. I can’t see anyone offering the money we want for Coady or Souttar though. That January window with the last throw of the dice really didn’t work out for us did it? Tete was bang average but at least on loan. Stoke had our pants down with Souttar and Viktor was the best of a bad bunch (actually think there is a player in there) but way too much pressure and again money spent on an unproven LB.
  24. Neither a winger or CM so not surprised that we’d not keep him on. He wasn’t in the trusted 14 or so players that Enzo barely left out when fit, so actually not the surprised. However like others have said, if our finances weren’t so tight, it could have ended differently for him here. A few players on a free and raiding the loan market will surely have to happen with our needed rebuild.
  25. Considering less than 15 years ago they were playing at an athletics track, I think Brighton have exceeded their expectations. **Disclaimer** I am not claiming that Brighton are the best club in the country and will be fighting for top 4 season after season BUT when look at their expenditure and trajectory, fair to say Bloom and the board are doing more right than wrong. Can we say that for Top and co?
