I think the fact that all our expected survival rivals lost means this one now looks like a bit of a free hit. It's not. It's a home game. But worse case scenario we're not being cut adrift from any of the pack after the first game. Might not even finish the first game week at the bottom!

Ipswich were doing their usual of going full pelt from the off, which worked well in the Championship because they were fitter than a lot of teams and had bench options of a similar ability. In the Prem though, they're not going to be fitter so they're going to need to make that early pressure count because teams will be able to finish games at a higher level than them cos they won't be gassed, and their subs aren't going to change the games in the same way.

He's a an attacking midfielder or winger. At best he could probably play false 9. I don't think anybody has ever claimed he's a striker.

A quick glance on the FPL doesn't have either as suspended. Also doesn't have Richarlison as injured either. And I'm sure he played against Bayern.

I don't know about that. I think the lad is probably a finisher, but with a lack of creativity in the side he's not going to be getting loads of service where you have other players (not in our side) that can fashion opportunities for themselves. And maybe that's what his managers want.

I know. Barry was implying that a sale might have been delayed so he can't play vs Spurs in Mondays opener. Honeybradger was saying he wouldn't be able to play Spurs anyway. Which would only apply to a loan. Which they don't want. So as Barry says a purchase might be being delayed so we can't play him against Spurs. Which we can't now.

Touching the ball isn't definitive though. He's not got enough on it. If he doesn't take Soucek down he's not taken the ball away from Soucek by getting a touch. Vardy has got pens before when people have got slight touches but not taken it off him. Remember in our title winning year when Francis (Bournemouth) was sent off for a foul on Vardy, even though he got a slight touch. The touch didn't take the ball away from Vardy and he brought him down in the follow through. This isn't clear cut either way.
