The problem our generational players (or whatever you want to call them) is that they're coming through at a time where our first team has an absolute dearth of both talent and leaders. There's nobody on the pitch guiding them through, setting examples and putting in performances that help the young lads develop. Mukasa will already have had a better experience in his limited times on the bench for Man Citys senior side.

The irony of all this as well is that the rules are supposed to be in play to stop unruly owners saddling a club with debt and endangering the future of said club. It seems if you break those rules the EFL and EPL will take it upon themselves to try and ensure the future is fxxked regardless.

On Gerrard, we're not an attractive job. His rep isn't particularly good in English football so he's not going to join a club that's on the brink of relegation. If we went down, he's finished, even if it weren't his fault, so why risk it? Would probably fancy it in the summer if we stayed up. Maybe even if we didn't as he'd probably expect to walk league one. I'd probably gain a little bit of respect for him if he took it on when there's little upside this season.

Given the shit we've bought off them from when he was there and seeing it first hand he needs lauding for keeping us to single digits! Miracle worker...
