I think Davies is the least exciting of the pair but like you say if someone gives Tierney a funny look he'll be out for the rest of the season and Davies has filled in at LB and CB if not the hybrid role we utilize. The thing is with Davies though is he'll cost something because he's got a year on his contract, a loan for Tierney would obviously have no transfer fee attached. The other thing is that at 31 we're unlikely to want to offer anything more than a year and he's unlikely to want a year when he can just sit out his Spurs contract, and Spurs won't see any value in loaning him to anyone. In terms of his attributes, he's also slow as shit (for a fullback if that's where he's deployed), which is a problem that plagues our defence so adding another slug is not really a good look. Unless he's in to replace Vesty so you're going (almost) like for like in that regard. But he's a decent enough passer and a good crosser. I wouldn't vomit if we got him. Would probably rather him than Faes tbh.

I think people are overlooking the fact that offering a 1 year extension isn't necessarily going to do it for any of the free agents. They're going to want more security than that I'd imagine. Unless your 1 year extension pays them the same a 3 year contract on a lower wage. I think it'd probably only appeal to Vardy and that's because he'd probably still get a decent wedge.

Greenwood won't get a move to a club in England and Man Utd will never get £40mill for him. Not even close. Clubs that have that kind of money aren't going to want players that have adverse affects on their image and prospective sponsors,partners etc. It doesn't have to be a moral stance to not want him. It's moronic from a business one too. The only clubs that would show an interest are skint. And that includes Barcelona.

Yeah I bunged him in my dreamteam as a cheapo option and watched a lot of Sheffield Utds first half of the season games, which is a pretty tortuous thing to do. He didn't stand out, even when scoring or assisting. Having said that he's played in a team all over the shop, he doesn't seem to lack technical skills you'd require in an Enzo midfielder, though I'm not sure he's got the engine. He just doesn't really seem to excel at anything tbh. Loan at most.

Yep. I don't really understand the positivity given what he'd probably cost compared to what he'd bring. He had an ok season once in the Premier League for an otherwise decent Chelsea side, and one good season at Roma. Given what he's going to cost I think it's a risk for someone else. Unless of course Roma want to do a loan.

Can''t see there being much value in that one tbh. Would rather pursue the other loan to Hull in Carvalho who has outscored him in about 40% fewer matches. Also more versatile. Probably wouldn't have to buy him either, could try and get him on loan from Liverpool.
