Our last successful manager Enzo, stamped his identity on us from day 1. We’ve seen 12 games and I’ve seen nothing to encourage me into giving him time, it’s awful football. I could go into so many issues but I’m tired of it all. I’m one for giving managers time but this is going nowhere, it’s blindingly obvious. Get him gone.

I agree, we saw a team we could get behind in those first few games. Not pretty or dominant, but kept it tight and fought hard, it was refreshing to see a Leicester side play like that. It echoed Marti’s messages of what he wanted from us. Page and Okoli and many others playing looked hungry and did well, especially Okoli. The conservative style, without our defence on the half way line and seeking total controll in possession help our defence tremendously. We looked hard to play against. Yes Page was never going to play every game, but last night when Marti pushed Soumare high, I am sure that Page would have been much more effective than Soumare in that position. As soon as the window closed and the regulars were confirmed to be staying, Marti undid it all. He’s dropped Okoli, move our line way too high, pushing a controlled possession style but with no movement or fluidity in the final third. We look ridged and flat going forward and defensively fragile on the counter. So much space in front of the back 4 in transition and hectares of space down the flanks. We don’t have the players to play through a low block either. He has to go back to the way we played earlier, we do not have the players to dominate games in their half for a full 90, nor the players with the recovery speed to stop counters when we lose the ball whilst we try to penetrate the deep block that we force the opposition into with our style. Wether or not Marti recognises this and reverts back to a more compact system will determine his and our success. We’ve seen these players before, we know they can’t do this, Marti better see it before it’s too late. He deserves more time as he’s not had it easy here, but he better wake up to the reality quickly.

I do as it gives us our best chance of keeping our best players. Fatawu won’t be here next season if we don’t go up, he probably will if we do. Monga won’t stick around down here forever either. I understand why people think we need to build, but the longer you’re down here, the more pressure you are under to sell your best, and the harder it is to attract decent players. You can build whilst getting promoted, look at Sunderland, that team wasn’t ready for the prem. But one good window has them competitive and if they’re relegated, their squad value is much higher and will give them a good shot at bouncing back. It’s changed their trajectory, we can’t fall behind.

Having compared the progressive passing figures of both, taking the season Zouma kicked the cat (2021/22) and Okoli’s last 365 days, Okoli averaged 2.66 progressive passed per 90 compared with Zouma’s 1.43. So it would appear that not only is it inherently wrong to kick cats, but it also is a poor indicator as to how well a football player can play a line breaking pass. Still think Faes should come in as we can’t progress the ball well at all. Mr Skipp also culpable.

Seen a lot of Rennais fans saying how good he was in a poor side last year, many commenting on how hard he works and that he never should have been sold. By all accounts they’re a bit of a mess right now. I think he’ll be class here

Would be ok as a squad player, I don’t think he’s great

Has hardly played any football in 3 years but if we can get him up to speed and playing he will be quality here. Hope there’s a buy option but I doubt it

If we sell we’d have to get someone in and we’d need to spend close to 10 for it to be worth it so I do understand. If we already had an actual decent 9 I’d say otherwise however

It’s been reported that Genk have a 15% sell on clause. The 5 million loan fee I’d assume would be protected from that, seems like a clever way to protect our profit from Genk.
