  1. I can see it now. A Statement From Khun Top (by Tony Aitch) When I look back on the last ten years and what we’ve achieved together, it makes me so proud. We’ve won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Community Shield and been in some unforgettable trips around Europe. We did that together. But undoubtedly we’ve had some setbacks. This season, we weren’t able to fully reach our objective and forces outside of our control have ultimately decided our fate. But we must now come together as a Leicester City family and come back stronger. Together. Next year is about a fresh start. It’s about unity and bringing us back to what made us fearless. Don’t shout at meh. Thank you for your support
  2. Then from the same issues match report for the Wimbledon game (I’ve cut out the bits about the game itself) Before the game there was a big chorus of: 'There's Only One City!' and some 'C' cards were held aloft as an early indicator of the way the half time name vote was going to go. Time for the Great Name Vote.. Despite what the online polls might have suggested, it was a complete landslide in favour of retaining City, the odd 'F' standing out in a sea of 'C's. It simply didn't even need counting, it looked to be over 90%. A good day all round for the club… whose supporters left the ground to the tannoy announcement on behalf of the directors that promised: “we are and will always be Leicester City”
  3. Ironically, was doing some research on the Fosse/City vote a few months ago. This is from the Fox Fanzine, March 2003. I’ll try and dig out the full issue again if it would help. Struggling to attach the screenshots but it reads; Friday 21st February 2003 On the eve of the Fosse/City name change vote Jon Holmes, in his first message on the official site as Chairman, put the case for Fosse: "I personally feel that the club would benefit in several ways by a change of name. We are making a fresh start. The concept of a Club 'owned’ by the community is not new but it is important that we get the consultation process right. This is an important decision, with long-term financial implications for the club. We are by no means a rich club. We have been saved from the abyss but there is much work to be done to establish the club amongst the elite of the game. We need every commercial advantage we can get - a unique name, and the re-branding process - a common concept in modern business marketing - could give us that edge necessary. There are those who think changing the name will cost us money. This is incorrect. Whilst any change needs the support of the majority, and the decision is not principally a financial one, a new unique name will give us a great new marketing opportunity here in Leicester, in England generally, and in the burgeoning world market. I know change is difficult for some to accept but I do urge you to think it over seriously." At the Wimbledon game, which could see possibly the largest amount of City fans inside the ground to date with Wimbledon bringing a tiny band of followers, supporters would be asked to hold cards aloft at half time to show their preference. 'Observers' from the club and Foxes Trust would then try and accurately assess which name was the most popular. The Foxes Trust had already persuaded the club to abandon the official poll when it passed 66,000 (!) and it became obvious that people were either multiple voting, or other team's fans were voting. Communications Officer for the Foxes Trust, Nigel Ritchie explained why it was important for the Trust to be involved: "We have been discussing with the club how they intended to gauge fans opinions. We were particularly concerned about the use of polls - which can be subject to abuse and are difficult to validate. On such an emotive issue for fans it is vital that any vote is as open as possible and we welcome the opportunity to observe the vote and pass on those observations to The inevitable debate about this matter appeared to have become more and more heated between the Citizens and the Fossils as the time for decision making approached.
  4. Appreciate it’s easy to say, but moving forward, could the fan groups do their own set of minutes which document a more accurate picture? Or better yet, my vote would be for them to collectively leave the Fan Engagement Framework altogether. If the club are manipulating the minutes and releasing them to the public then I really don’t see how these meeetings serve any purpose.
  5. Ffs could have added some context to the thread title! Had me worried!
  6. Today probably proving why the comms director doesn’t recommend the chairman to speak.
  7. Never heard of this game so just tried it. Christianity Religion in Europe Religion in the UK Manchester M60 Motorway Metropolitan Borough of Bolton Bolton Wanderers Johan Elmander Gary Megson A productive 20 minutes. Would do again.
  8. Said it before and I’ll say it again - Seagrave has a massive say in the shit culture around the club. Yes obviously it’s a fantastic facility, yes it’s beneficial to our youth system and presumably that’s where our first-team players will come from over the next few years. But it symbolises the head in the sand attitude around the place. They no longer have to come into the City apart from matchday. They never have to see the people who their displays affect. And don’t get me started on the NG postcodes.
  9. Jeremy Monga. Different from the rest He’s running down the left wing with a fox upon his chest He beats defenders, when he gets the ball And when he scores, the City boys will roar Jeremy Monga
  10. Whilst we’re all putting statements out… A joint statement between Football On The Soar and your friends over on The Roof.
  11. Her off Eastenders was alright
  12. Mate of mine wrote to the club after the game asking whether this Thai military propaganda would be continuing - he says there’s been no answer as of yet.
  13. I just can’t believe the #TruthFromThailand messaging was passed through the Fan Engagement Framework™️. The FAB would surely have been consulted if Leicester City is now officially siding with a nation in a conflict? Right?
  14. Disappointing that the club couldn’t come prepared for this - especially with the amount of people who had taken the time to fill it in. You would have thought the Head of Fan Engagement would know it off by heart really. Despite not reading the results, did those from the clubs side at least have the common decency to arrive for the meeting on time? Would really show a lack of respect if they were over 30 minutes late.
  15. CIFUENTES! Better than all the rest better than anyone anyone I’ve ever met
  16. Is it my imagination, or have i finally found a gaffer worth singing for? We were looking for promotion, and what we found was Cifuentes from QPR
  17. Because Seagrave is a symbol of the poor culture that’s been set. Don't get me wrong, it’s not the biggest issue we have, but the downturn has pretty much coincided with its opening. At least at Belvoir Drive, the players had to travel through the community they’re representing. They’d be forced to interact with people, they’d have to drive down Aylestone Road and see the Saff. But now they’re leaving their houses in Nottingham (or further), travelling into the sticks and don’t have to face the fanbase. It’s no real wonder they don’t care about being here if all they see of Leicester is a couple of hours every fortnight. Clearly this culture is ultimately down to poor leadership and decisions from the top of the club - but Seagrave plays a big part in allowing these players to feel too comfortable whilst performing poorly.
  18. Sorry if this has been covered already, but only just seen this myself; Upper management at King Power has been restructured with Aiyawatt no longer CEO… hopefully something similar happening on Filbert Way https://en.moneyandbanking.co.th/2025/177598/
  19. Two massive games within a couple of miles of Filbert Way.
  20. The funniest part about this one was the wife of the chairman of the LCFC Supporters Club slagging it off online, saying she “didn’t get it”. That proved to me that there’s people out there who will just point-blank refuse to give these lads and lasses any credit regardless of what it is.
  21. Foxes Talk’s version of “he’s 28 until he becomes 29. That’s how it works”
  22. Don’t worry, the club are going to show us how important the local, core support is to them this week. At a time when us mere divs are asking to simply be spoken to, they’re flying in the “Dallas Foxes” to parade them around the ground on Friday 🤪
