I don't like any of our strikers or midfield, Ayew needs runners off him, but Winks, Soumare and BEK all want it to feet and also need runners. I would only play BEK as the deep midfield creator and try a find some kind of balance with a ball winner and box to box with what we have left. Daka runs, and we all know the rwst

Soumare has been better than Skipp in both games this season and he's better on the ball and passer than Choudhury. Even with Bouba we should be dominating possession against Preston.

Really, at least it's something different. I always find in funny in the pre-match forum, most posters pick 95% of the same team as the manager and then when it comes to the match forum they're slagging the manager for picking the same players.

I think he could play in a 3 with BEK as playmaker, Choudhury as a destroyer and Mcateer as box to box to run beyond Ayew as the deep 9. Page could play this role but I would try Mcateer first because he's more senior and Page can't physically play 46 games. I don't think any combination of Soumare, Winks, Choudhury or Skipp works in a 2.

Our aim is promotion, long term our aim is premiership stability again, this squad has prooved under inept managers they're not good enough for the PL. Its all about the timing, I still think we will need some of them this year because our hands are tied financially and if we replace players that can do a good job in the Championship we're unlikely to replace them with premiership quality this seasons. If I was DOF this season I would get rid of the players who aren't good enough for their position or surpless. Coulibaly, Souttar, Soumare, Choudhury (CM), Skipp, Wanya, Decordova-Reid, Daka. If we loose Winks, BEK, or Fatawu then we have to replace them. Then recruit 2 new midfielders, and 2 new strikers, but Nelson, Alves, Monga, Page and Aluko should get plenty of game time. Once we're back in the PL try and overhaul the squad to improve the quality. The only players I wouldn't sell would be BEK, Fatawu and the academy lads I mentioned.

Last night he's wasn't as bad as you made out, made more key passes and successfull final 3rd passes than anyone on the pitch. He's not going to be the difference of us getting promoted or not promoted this season and will be fine in the championship. We need a whole new midfield and strikers before we think about a left back IMO.

Yes totally agree, we're in a mess and it isn't his fault. Sick of the negativity at this club, mistakes have happened but are we going to dwell on them for the next 50 years. IMO we have to move on with what we have left on September 1st, with a clean slate. We need to focus all our fight against the EFL and the impending points deduction.

I don't agree with the comment about attitude or desire regarding any of our academy players, or senior players. We led the game twice, we're coming off a disaster of a senior which has left mental scars, our dressing room doesn't look a happy place. Wednesday was always going to be tough because there is a togetherness between fans and players. Our fans have turned on the board, players basically everyone in the club. Its going to be a hard season the squad isn't as good as under Enzo, I just hope we stick with the manager for minimum 2 seasons regardless of results, so he can build his own team.

I can't believe the stick a team that featured 8 academy players is getting. If you can't support and find positives in that then you need to **** off and support another team.

I think the problem for Alves now is that Monga and Page are much younger yet and we're able to play with much more confidence and affect the game in a positive way. Unfortunately Alves didn't really do much first half.

Nelson was much better 2nd half and did well, Thomas also had a good game and doesn't deserve any stick.

Yes they do, at 16 and 17 they don't hide, they really get involved with so much confidence. Need to get plenty of minutes because they'll really develop.
