Okoli looks shocking, Nelson should definitely start over him. Cooper obviously doesn't plan to start Alves or Baybrooke in the early months of the premier league which is why they've got no game time in pre season.

He obviously thinks we have some money after the sale of KDH, bidding for Soule and being able to waste money on another centre back.

If Alves and Baybrooke were ready they would have played last year, you don't just chuck you best prospects into midfield for a premier league relegation dogfight with an impending points deduction. The Premier league is the toughest in the world and the gap between the championship is huge. I'm not a Cooper fan but he's our manager and I think we should cut him some slack untill at least he has the players he needs before we start slating him.

We don't have anyone else, only Soumare or McAteer and he obviously doesn't see Ricky as a starting midfielder, maybe some politics there. Alves is not ready for this even in preseason. He's a very promising player but throwing in him with this shower of shit and expecting him to be the major creative force is asking a miracle and could set his whole career back. We've got to support and judge him at Xmas when hopefully the club has recruited 4-5 players in midfield and attack who can actually pass forward and score.

No he hasn't but he gets picked because of his pace. Any manager will choose pace for a striker. Neither is anywhere near Premier League quality though.

I think we only signed him because we expected Daka to leave last season, but has turned into a waste of money. Certainly not worth the transfer fee we paid.

I don't think Cooper's playing politics with the board. You need a settled first team and playing style before you start promoting youth, especially after a few weeks at the club. Alves didn't even feature towards the end of last season after injury under Enzo. He would need to be exceptional in preseason training to force his way into the starting lineup this early.

Results are not a problem, but not scoring goals in the last 2 games is a huge concern for me. Creative midfielders and goalscorers are desperately needed.

It's a wasted opportunity, with only 2 weeks until the season starts and we haven't strengthened the squad sufficiently yet. IMO it's better to get your business done early so you have maximum time to prepare for the opening games. It's too early to panic, but it's so frustrating following Leicester recently.

There's that many journalists these days they're across everything usually. I think it's his way of fielding interview questions without having to criticise the club. I just don't understand why we don't get our business done quickly. With a new manager and division, IMO we need as much time as possible to prepare with the final squad.
