I understand this point of view and get not everyone likes the data side of football but it does usually give a good indicator in how teams are doing and future trends. 2 years ago Preston won something like 9 out of the first 11 I think but their underlying data was shocking and eventually they dropped like a stone. I do agree. If it was up to me he’d have been on the bench for us. Instead we’re being treated to Reid & Ayew stumbling over themselves.

I watched nearly every minute of his loan at Cardiff (I’d given up on watching us at that point) and he was definitely great as a super sub. Really struggled to get into games when he started. Cardiff being shocking didn’t help but the game would definitely pass him by at times. Probably my bias showing but he’d have been a better option off the bench than Reid IMO. I think he needed a season of playing most weeks which he wouldn’t have got here under Marti
