Totally understand the frustration, it’s a poorly run business and even if they did release something, it’s probably been paid for and written by someone outside of the club who’s been given a few quid to knock some words together. Never lose sight that we all mean nothing to these lot in charge, whether it’s cutting off fans from big games with no general sale to those that go every week having digital tickets or unjust non disputable bans placed on them. They sit in the stadium laughing 10 minutes before the drop is confirmed, I’m taking that as their statement.

Not sure if this has been covered already but if the player is 30+, Jon always chucks in a 3yr deal, free beer, donuts and clappers. Also on some occasions Jon goes back to original lists and randomly selects another player similar to what we’ve got already, and offers double what he paid for the first. Example Winks and Skipp. Finally, Jon has a panic list of loan players, he likes to make snap decisions, sometimes forgetting to discuss recall/return clauses. Edouard caught his eye, not for his goalscoring record, he just thought he had a nice name.

I’m a bit behind you having just turned 50, but I agree, the 70s and 80s and I’d extend that into the early 90s were far better in every way on the pitch. The game has been ruined, not just by TV, the EPL and lack of British players, but also by Agents, VAR, the introduction of play offs, semi finals at Wembley and scrapping cup replays. The snobbery of some fans who sneer at the league cup too. We were delighted to lift it three times! Money has killed in, on the pitch and in the stands, our owner won’t permit his staff to sell me a ticket for a game v Liverpool, but he would quite happily sell it to a tourist for £250 on a ticket sale platform.

Remember both, earliest memory of John was an own goal v QPR in the promotion season 82/83 but he played a big part in that defence. I’d say so, Holloway played someone called Harry Worley in the crucial relegation game v Stoke, he hadn’t played all season so Holloway chucked him in! It’s the sort of mad decision that defies logic, he was a total fruitcake. RVN is from that same school of fruitcake.

Not really had much from him at all other than when he was interviewed after the game at Leeds basically slating Rodgers for benching him, that’s got to be 2 years ago when Smith came in for the last 6 games or whatever it was. Whilst we are unlikely to see another player like him, and there are calls to keep him from a number of fans, personally I think it’s time. I think RVN is actually frightened of dropping him! Ok he doesn’t have much competition but there’s just something that doesn’t add up. I don’t think the drive has gone, but he’s definitely too close to those above and that can’t be a positive if you are a striker looking to move to somewhere like us next season, knowing that the clubs best player for the last 10 years has that internal power to turn heads at higher level. We’ll never know, but he could have even picked the team at Brighton 😂

Have experienced many lows supporting the club, Hamilton/Pleat era, Bassett, then Levein/Holloway… two things I take away from this, the first is that I always felt connected to the club and players during those periods, secondly, the players were paid a lot less, most were not in the same calibre as the current squad, but still tried their best. I do feel entitled to see players that at least show they want to be here, and I want the owner to show authority in dealing with those responsible for the shambolic managerial appointments, DOF decisions and how the club is run in general along with fan engagement.

Tickets for the Palace away game are on sale. Done all the league games this season, and hoping for a first away win, only 2 points on the road all season is abysmal! Serious questions of Miquel need asking if we lose at Palace.
