  1. Never mind the absolutely shocking display on the pitch, the club have ditched the Piglets Pantry sausage rolls with cheese and replaced them with the anaemic looking Pukka Pies ones. Genuinely gutted as me and my son really enjoy them pre match. ☹️
  2. Surely it has to be American technology otherwise they would have been shot down a long time ago.
  3. Makes sense! A client bought a house in Brighton (for nearly £2m) and it was deemed unsuitable for a mortgage so he used a bridging loan for £500k of the purchase price. Improved the house to a very high standard, valuer came round and put a mortgage value of zero on the property citing lack of building regs and planning permission for an extension the previous owner had done. We switched him to a different lender and the valuer put £2.6m on it!!! You could apply with a different lender that does a free valuation just to see what result you get then take a view on the existing mortgage rate if this house is “the one.”
  4. Do you have to use this lender? As in are you porting an existing mortgage from your current property to this one? If not, chances are, a different lender will see it differently. Probably worth paying any early settlement charge so you can use a different lender if the house is “the one.”
  5. I think Moyes or Van Nistelroy wouldn’t be bad appointments.
  6. Yes. It was a stag do many years ago. I have a vivid memory of a strip club that turned out to be more than a strip club and nothing else. 🤣
  7. I see it in the London Road coop regularly too. Prior to the screens round the checkout being put up I saw two blokes jump over the counter, grab a few bottles of spirits and walk (not run) out of the shop!
  8. They have brought back in a policy the Tories introduced and scrapped within a fortnight due to the backlash they got: any double cab pick up trucks registered after April 2025 will be classed as a car for company car tax purposes. Those bought before this date will be classified as commercial vehicles until April 2029. They have just created months of chaos while people fight to get one and then nobody will buy one after April next year. Of course plenty of people have been running them as a way round company car tax but there are many, many trades people that genuinely need this type of vehicle for both business and family life that are going to be hammered by this change.
  9. I’ve seen £40k negative equity on a Taycan 😳
  10. Agreed! The only way to fund an EV is Contract Hire.
  11. Bought tickets for this while drunk. It seemed a good idea at the time! Got the added hassle of having to get to Rugby as no direct trains from Leicester today. Hopefully some beers will numb the pain of the drumming we get😵‍💫.
  12. I take it you have seen the pricing of the Contract Hire deals that have just been launched?! A lot of car for the money!
  13. Seems it is down for a lot of people!
  14. If you go with a broker, any decent one will keep an eye on the market and move you to a better deal if one pops up before your existing deal ends. It is double the work for them if the better deal is with a different lender but good ones will do this.
  15. Kia EV3? EV6 is amazing but maybe the wrong shape if you are looking SUV.
  16. It is such a great series. As you say, the lead character is a brilliant actor to carry off the role being English.
  17. Been in Paris since Sunday. Have seen two car crashes and I surprised it hasn’t been more. Used Uber at least twice a day and thankfully have had a drink most of the times we have been in cabs so I haven’t been as on edge as I would have been sober. Parisian driving is literally mind boggling. Also massive police and army presence everywhere which I suppose will be there until the paralympics finish.
  18. Snowfall on iPlayer. Not sure why this hasn’t got more attention as it deserves it. All about LA in the 1980s and how crack took hold of the place. Great fashion: Lacoste and Fila. Great music and fantastic characters and acting. If you liked Narcos and Narcos Mexico, this is a step up and dare I say it, even better than Breaking Bad! There are six series and I have done the lot in a few weeks.
  19. I’ll give him that one as the exception.
  20. Olympic Opening Ceremonies are shit. This one is the shittest ever.
  21. I have worked in the credit industry for 27 years. All of the advice previously mentioned is absolutely bang on. If you want me to give you a detailed plan on what the best solution for you might be, feel free to message me your email address. I can take some details, have a look at your credit file and see how you should proceed👍
  22. Worryingly, their website is one of the most read “news” websites worldwide.
  23. Ask them how much the salvage value is i.e what the amount is that you could buy it back for.
