King Power: A Tale of Rise and Ruin
dillonpanthers87 replied to MattFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Seriously, grow up. It's a sign of anger and frustration, people aren't robots, and while someone might disagree with the language, these people can't have it all one way; accept the success on one hand, but not feel the frustration on the other. How do you think any change happens? I'm not saying our fan base is particularly well organised, but I think a well worded letter does not have the same impact. Look at it in another way; the way the ownership of our club treats the supporters. Total up that impact. Betting sponsorship, rejection of mental health shows of support etc., cancelling tickets for fans who speak out against the ownership. Now put that total net impact on a human level, against a couple of people who earn a great deal of money, who decided themselves to not only get into this business, but also every decision along the way. I don't agree with violence or things that are not appropriate, but I think I can live with a few phrases being put their way, either online or in person. -

LCFC and the Communication Void
dillonpanthers87 replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
I've been critical before, but this was refreshing and good to read. I hope we, as a fanbase and connected trust can become increasingly outspoken, not just in language but channels in which communication happens. -
It does, but it's hard to look at that logo now and not be reminded of the current state of things. Shonki Bros please.

I'll be honest, I don't really care (within reason) until king power and their cronies are gone. If anything, it's why I'm more open to RVN - bear with me - he's the most likely to speak out and call it all for what it is, than someone coming in as the new guy. Because, otherwise, we'll be back in the old cycle. Let's rip the plaster right off. I don't want to see Rudkin or Top feeling comfortable at a game again. Horrible to say - and within the law - these absolute .... need to get out of our football club.
-
What a beauty.
-
Imagine if Ruud (quite rightly) turns around and says in a few weeks..."nah"
-
"What I had to say, I said face to face".
-
Remember this? 6:10 onwards, signalling perhaps our champ Rudders. I was for Ranieri leaving at the time, although it was brutal - we were pretty awful - but interesting all the same in terms of his comments.
-
I posted this before; I honestly think we'll end up with Rafa. I don't want this to happen btw. Just gut feeling, hope I'm wrong

what happens every year, every window. How many now, I don't know. They don't care. To think - this is a business, and this is how they run it. I quite literally trust them to organise a trip to the airport, they'd find a way to fk it up
-
Exactly. An outside expert is a threat to say Rudkin, or others.

What's Salt Bae upto? A rare choice granted, but could be the kick up the rump we need.

What on the roads has annoyed you today?

Absolutely, really well put. We're human. -

My personal opinion, is maybe don't link the two too much. You're right to sort of self 'assess' and reflect, and it's something I would do too (I'm a worrier), but at some point these things will happen (sorry for repeating what you've already heard). Thinking "am I ok to drive" if stressed, or worried or any strong emotion is the right thing to do, but that doesn't seem the case here - you weren't going out driving in a moment of madness, and you already called out some mitigating factors - with the appointment in mind, in the same scenario, I'd prefer to have driven myself and have the freedom rather than relying on a taxi, conversation etc etc. and the added stress. I've had scenarios that afterwards have made me really reflect, and I'd say, the feeling you describe, is enough, and would stick with you in future, don't add to it by beating yourself up. -
It's a good point. We (rightly) focus on the big failings. But the smaller ones we see, and also don't see...imagine. not just this absolute weapon, but also Whelan.

Bearing in mind and respecting the publicity and rules of this forum; wonder if we create a Discord for some better organisation to (legally) oppose our ownership, without being in the eye of whoever wants to browse here from the club. Mods, please don't delete; this isn't an advertisement. If there is something that already exists then I don't want to step on that, and I'm in no means wanting to lead anything, just that we might want to create a more internal space to work together. Half expecting people to tell me to fook off but there we have it

What type of football do people want to watch?
dillonpanthers87 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Fight, passion, on the ground, pressing football, with width and proper wingers. No tippy tappy bollox - unless it has the killer instinct in the moment and can be unpredictable.- 70 replies

Has anyone had any run ins with him before? Confrontations, interactions? I'm curious as to what incredible mind behind this well oiled machine exists.

Similar to a comment I put on here yesterday. This has gone from incompetence, to negligence, to outright head in the sand, unbelievable levels of behaviour. I don't care about Rudkin, or Whelan. If we have to drop a few divisions to get this virus of a business off our back, I'd take it.
-
Absolutely agree. It's beyond embarrassing for the club. However you feel about RVN as a manager, he seems an honest and determined guy, and as you say, has handled himself well, in a tough situation, more than you could say for others in the club. Everyone deserves better than this. In terms of the ownership, there's incompetence, negligence, and then there is scum behaviour, which I think for a while now we have seen, with the lying, cowardice etc.

If we appoint him, I think I'm done, for the first time in 20+ years. King power, absolute virus.

Ok, sorry, I'll stop after this one 🦊 Peter Taylor Spotted Back in Leicester – and He’s Dropping Hints By Leicester Mercury Sport Tuesday 21 May 2025 In a sighting that’s sparked fresh speculation among Leicester City supporters, former Foxes boss Peter Taylor was spotted in the city centre on Monday — and his visit wasn’t exactly under the radar. Taylor, 71, was seen around lunchtime ordering food at Maryland Chicken on Granby Street, where several locals recognised him. But it wasn’t just the sight of the former manager tucking into a meal that caught attention — it was the King Power-branded plastic bag by his side, stuffed with club merchandise and what appeared to be official documents. Witnesses say Taylor seemed “in good spirits,” but also made a few pointed comments to those who approached him — remarks that some believe may hint at a possible return to the club in some capacity. “Someone jokingly asked him if he was back for the manager’s job,” said one bystander. “He just smiled and said, ‘Let’s just say there’s still a few things I’d like to finish here.’ That got a few eyebrows raised.” Another local, who asked not to be named, said Taylor also muttered something about “things needing steadying” and that “too many good people have been overlooked lately.” “It didn’t sound like small talk,” they added. “He seemed... purposeful.” 🧾 More Than Just Merchandise? The King Power bag Taylor was carrying wasn’t subtle. Inside were a couple of rolled-up posters, what looked like a club lanyard, and a folder of printed documents, according to multiple onlookers. It’s unclear whether he’d been meeting with club officials or simply visiting the stadium shop — but the detail hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans. “You don’t come all the way to Leicester for a few scarves and a chicken wrap,” joked one user on X (formerly Twitter). “He’s clearly meeting someone.” The club has so far declined to comment on Taylor’s visit. However, with Leicester City still without long-term clarity on next season’s leadership — and whispers of a structural reshuffle behind the scenes — the timing has sparked inevitable questions. Taylor managed the Foxes from 2000 to 2001 and is best remembered for briefly taking the club to the top of the Premier League, before a string of poor results led to his dismissal. Since then, he has managed England U21s, Hull City, Stevenage, and a host of lower league and non-league teams — earning a reputation as a calm, experienced figure who prioritises youth development and discipline. 🎙️ “Not Just Passing Through” According to another witness, Taylor seemed in no rush and appeared to be taking in the city’s atmosphere — even walking past the King Power Stadium entrance later that afternoon. “He gave a little nod towards the gates. It looked... deliberate. Like a man walking back into somewhere he knows he belongs.”
