  1. It looks more like 11 against 8 than 11 on 10. Regardless, and allowing for the sending off, we've been diabolical
  2. Dull, but we fought and matched them physically. Can't complain really. Love to see Daka get a goal. I'm all for criticism when it's due, and there's a lot to fault still, but that's a decent win today.
  3. The guy, and his staff, are not qualified. This will not improve. What further evidence do we need? Another relegation? More financial mismanagement? More sponsorship that is barely a front for ML? This list can go on and on. Let's remember here, 'Top' is not Leicester, he is a business owner, who has overseen (insert another list here). His interest is in profit, and sure, if the club does well, he looks good and can bring his mates over. That doesn't change if we bring in another owner - it's unfortunately football. If we applied the level of Tops performance to a football managerial situation, he'd have been sacked 500 times over. It's not as easy as that with ownership, clearly, but we need to pull the finger out collectively and get rid of them. I'm sorry mate, we're all Leicester here, but surely, raise your standards a little? X years since we heard anything, and this is what we're served with. To me it's just further evidenced their incompetence. I can't stand the bloke - no humility, no ownership of his part in this, but let's hear him speak about how hard it is for him for 13 minutes.
  4. I listened again, and I'm more angry than after the first time. Key bits for me (in no particular order) 1. Guy wants to connect with the fans. Says this wearing a suit, in a grey corporate environment from Bangkok, in a heavily scripted video. He could have actually come to the UK and had an open forum, but I guess he's too busy. Good that he now realises "it's about time" he speaks with the fans. And you know, one way of connecting with fans is wearing a suit and spouting rehearsed answers. 2. He seems to be using the same things we hear from the media against the fans - listen to him fall back on 'we had success, and now expectations etc. etc. but sport is difficult', completely missing the point. 3. This is obvious, but there are almost no specifics in the interview. 4. When, at 5.38 in, the 'interviewer'' asks along the lines of, what do you say to fans who have felt let down etc. - the words out of his mouth are immediately 'yeah, for sure, but' and proceeds to spend another minute or so saying in a number of ways how difficult it is for him and the club. It's very 'poor me'. 5. Forget the language element - this is a man who should know by now, how to communicate effectively. No doubt KP spent a lot of time, planning, working through the narrative and key points - and he/they have missed the mark here massively, with basics. Who are the audience? What were the outcomes this video wanted to achieve? What is the tone/feel they wanted fans to have? And they think this is acceptable? There's nothing in here of any substance. He talks about him and the fans being the same (because he 'loves football'). That says it all. 6. The interim MD in place, is essentially a middle manager with experience of customer service, supply chain management within the food industry, all in Bangkok. This is the person selected, interim or not, to help steady the ship. 7. He never once addresses the fans directly; maybe a minor point, but, his father was all about setting a vision, that at the time, seemed unrealistic. He gave the club a dream to work towards. There is no vision in this interview - things are difficult, things take a long time to fix, yet also ignores the fact things have also taken a long decline, which was never addressed. I can't believe any fans with more than a few braincells take this as a positive - I can understand how someone might say, well at least he's tried. Not good enough. The lack of understanding and authenticity in handling the situation is frankly embarrassing for someone who is supposed to be a leader, and more than ever, I want these dregs out of our club.
  5. Too little too late. Waffle, no firm commitment, deflective and sounds out of his depth. KP out.
  6. this so much. All dark hours. E-scooters too.
  7. Wondered if this was the updated plans for the stadium.
  8. His system and style are not working. Yet it's the same week in week out. I agree - poor squad, poor characters for the most part; but he took this on. The form is not good enough. He looks beaten - we need some passion and energy, I can't see any of that.
  9. This is mindblowing. I had to check it - I mean I knew it would be right as it makes sense in regards to time he's been here, but on the other hand, it's unbelievable. Forget Akinbiyi, some of the duds we've had in the past, this clown is really, really high on our worst ever signings, in my opinion. I would love to see someone from the media ask MC, 'what do you see in him Marti - the energy is low, the quality is low, his stats tell you everything'. Edit * is there some FFP or financial thing here at play - it just makes no sense.
  10. I can't disagree enough. Look up the definition of cronyism. This is a man who set the standard, and if anything challenged the reduction of standards behind the scenes. What is this based upon?
  11. He's having a go right now. The loss of his prev. wages, doesn't come into it for me.
  12. next few games really are make or break for him.
  13. It never aged well, give you that.
  14. Anger needs to be re-directed towards 'Top' and KP.
  15. I think the verdict is still out. He's on par, maybe just, but it needs to factor in the trash squad he has - and less about player value/wage bill or even technical ability, but the morons and egos he has to deal with, plus the hangover from last season and the leadership of the club. It could be far, far worse. We appointed him late too. He needs time and backing. For me he's doing a 7/10 job in tricky circumstances where others could easily have done worse. That's not to say he can't do better, but we have to give patience.
  16. We don't need to know the details of what's happening indoors. We can see through the windows it's a shambles. I'd rather have a fans committee running it - just as long as the likes of Cliff the Worlds Biggest Leicester Fan stay away.
  17. Please don't insult Shinji with that. But saying that I want Daka to succeed so badly, he seems a hard working, honest player. Would love to see him turn it round.
  18. Agree. The next handful of games are huge
  19. Ayew as left cdm
  20. 2 years ago, for one half of the season (mostly) - I hope he does come good, but he was incredibly poor last season (as were most others) and has shown little so far this season. I'd rather have a solid 7/10 performer most games than a 6/10, with a few 8s here and there. I'll stand by what I said - and I hope I'm wrong, I don't think he's at this level, in terms of very top end (hopefully) championship. We've seen plenty of players of a similar creative but on/off profile come and go. A highlights reel from 2 years ago, only showing the best bits, doesn't convince me.
  21. I disagree, for the most part. Having SM ahead of him, Soumare as the cm on his side, it can't be easy. Seems like he's left with little support
  22. I don't think he's at this level. A good League one player for sure, lower championship
  23. Wasn't even a red
  24. Agreed. We looked like a team, we fought. This felt for me like a step forward for Marti, regardless of the result.
  25. I don't listen to these things now. Managers at this level all need to speak very well. Cooper did at first, RVN did. I'd listen to Nigel all day long for example, but that's only after a managers credit and trust is built. It's easy to say the right things, especially early doors, so I won't get sucked in personally. Glad he came across pretty well by the sounds of it
