  1. Just seems an odd one, but not suggesting anything was done wrong. But thanks, only been following non league for a couple of years! It had potential last night but the amount of police on seemed to quell anything. I’d heard the young lads from both sides had met earlier only to be denied a scrap by the police who marched them to the ground. Would think it will be lively on Monday!
  2. I hadn’t even known that had happened but can see why Harborough would have been unhappy with that. On police advice? That’s a new one on me. Should be a coin toss, not really sure police should be deciding who has the advantage, what did they think would happen?! But both sides took some abysmal penalties and as Mitch said, we were second best anyway. I think the comments are only made about the ground following many daft comments about ours. We are ecstatic where we have got and superb to see so many packed in the away end to experience a huge playoff game infront of nearly 3000.
  3. I don’t think it was a change in tactics last night, we just couldn’t seem to keep hold of the ball and would give it away cheaply. And when we did win back the abysmal ref would just blow up for a foul (not blaming him for the defeat but definitely one to go with the home crowd).
  4. Fair enough. A poll on their media outlets selected which team to follow, it’s an outlet thats sole purpose is to follow English football so of course an ex prem league player would catch their eye and add to it. Id hope for top 5 again with some fun along the way. Hopefully with a playoff home advantage as that’s massive. It’s a very hard league to win and yes you’d think Bedford would be up there, they looked decent in this years pre season so they will only be better.
  5. Wondering how many times you have seen Harborough play? Not having a go here as it was certainly long ball at the start of the season but has evolved and I’ve seen very good football at times. If Paul Malone had scored the 4th I think we’d have been thorough and there would be no chat about Sandro being a waste of time. And I’ve no doubt the publicity of him and the FA Cup run is why the Spanish media are involved and who knows what that will bring with a pre season to Barcelona and Madrid lined up following 100 supporters coming over a few weeks back. Sandro doesn’t even take any money. It’s been very enjoyable having him around, and that’s largely a plus point of non league.
  6. That’s rubbish mate. If Sandro’s cross field ball (that noone else on the pitch could have played) had led to the goal it nearly created right at the it would have been dubbed a master stroke. Yes he took a terrible penalty but then so did 3 others and it’s a problem we’ve had all season. And Burgess isn’t fit having got hurt at Redditch and was on crutches a week ago. And we’ve been playing decent football since change in style around Christmas.
  7. Maybe so but after going 2 nil up after 3 we should have won that. Grubby ground and grubby fanbase. Odd lot. Hope Telford do them on Monday.
  8. Whilst obviously a fair number of Leicester fans follow Harborough as well the fanbase is a real mix. Harborough is the sort of area people move too and has a large amount of London commuters. I really don’t think the attendances will drop at all when Leicester pick up again, if anything they will grow. It’s a new club really in a growing town.
  9. Harboroughs 600 allocation for Kettering has sold out in 44 mins. Many left disappointed. Got mine 😀
  10. Yet another cracking day following Harborough. Emphatic 5-1 win at in form Sudbury to ensure we got in the playoffs. Nice to see Sandro back too, really looked the part in his cameo and he’s a really decent bloke. A few hundred Harborough made the trip and again made themselves heard, can’t believe how much the club has grown this year. A tough game away at Kettering now but nothing to be scared of.
  11. Sean Dyche 😀. Jesus wept. Might as well keep RVN, at least it will save a few million on his payout.
  12. Plus Leeds need to do it as Elland Road is tired. Like Forest have to replace that shed. The KP doesn’t need to be done, it would just be nice. And would cost tens of millions for not an awful lot back.
  13. Harborough just didn’t get going. Had all the ball but St Ives did their jobs well and nicked it at the death. The Spanish lot who came over were great and really embraced it. still a very enjoyable afternoon despite the result.
  14. That side would have still finished below Wolves.
  15. It’s the same for every club. It’s always tickets sold so doesn’t take account of no shows. But yes, seems misleading at best.
  16. They weren’t though. Opta analyst agrees with me Monga, a winger, had two goals and two assists in eight Premier League 2 appearances for Leicester U21s in 2024-25, and was unable to make much impact against Newcastle given any chance of getting something from the game for the hosts had already long gone. Monga had 10 touches in his short time on the field as Leicester suffered another demoralising loss. https://theanalyst.com/eu/2025/04/youngest-premier-league-players But I get it, in a wretched season people are going to be looking for any positive and jumping in on it.
  17. I wasn’t really expecting a lot from a 15 year old. It was folk on here as usual getting carried away. He had a few nice touches, nothing more but did much less that Mavadidi. it’s not a dig, it’s what happened. He will have a good future but let’s not be all OTT about things.
  18. Nice he got a run out. No doubt a good future ahead of him. But added nothing to a game that was already long dead.
  19. I mean, it might be for the best. If he’s as good as people hope it’s not the best to showcase a player who we can’t give a contract to.
  20. Yep, Harborough will just go for it and see what happens. You can’t pick and choose when you get promotion. But Mitch is very level about it and knows how far we’ve come again this year. And our neighbours won’t like it as they could sneer about ‘low crowds’ and ‘no atmosphere’. But the club has also grown massively off the pitch with over 800 Harborough at our last game (gate over 1000 but Halesowen travel well). Around 100 travelled away to Bedford last week and the atmosphere is as good as anywhere since that corner took on the challenge set by Mitch. its a great place to be, looking forward to Saturday where again a pop up means Braybrooke Lager will be on tap.
  21. It’s always done on tickets sold. Rarely over 30000 in the ground even when doing well.
  22. Of course it does. Any striker on 100k per week will score in the championship in a team that gets 100 points.
  23. We keep giving him another year when he’s well beyond his peak. I mean it’s very nice and all that but not exactly working is it. Yes he got a few in the championship last season, but then so would any striker on 100k per week.
  24. Self employed don’t get it. Some jobs will pay a week and then a week at statutory which is peanuts. Baffling why people defend a millionaire athlete because his wife has had a baby.
