  1. No stopping Quorn. What’s changed, has there been a big budget? They are making light work of a tough league to win.
  2. They didn’t massively overspend, they only failed PSR as they sold Johnson after the PSR deadline. And then were well within the limits. If anything it illustrates how piss poor our spending and recruitment has been as they still have more wriggle room than us with a much much superior squad.
  3. Harborough should have made that 7 straight wins today, missed chances, a penalty skied out the ground and a 92nd minute winner for Stourbridge when they slotted home following a good save from our keeper, which I think was his first of the game. That’s football.
  4. No. It might help a bit longer term as new PSR rules mean interest is charged on any loans and this means it doesn’t happen.
  5. He’s not good enough. Totally right decision to sell, it was an odd transfer to buy him at the time especially as he arrived with a bad back. not sure it helps much to FFP though given we paid around £7m for him.
  6. Yes I thought the same. 6 clubs at (albeit 2 on loan) at 23 years old probably says he isn’t very good.
  7. I’m not being difficult here, I’d genuinely like to read these accounts. Not sure why you can’t just post the link to them? But as others have said, Harboroughs revenue comes from much more than match days. Doubt there is a club in the region bringing in more from the clubhouse and partners use of the facility. Another super win today, I’ve no doubt Mitch and the club are looking towards the playoffs now.
  8. Sean ****ing Dyche and I’m done.
  9. Where? He’s not pulled anything out other than a graph with no referencing. Where are the accounts which show a loss each year and a loss of 85k last season? That’s what he’s said, I’d like to read them.
  10. Where have you got those figures from? And why is there nothing to explain what is what on the graph? I’m no accountant but a quick google search shows accounts from 2023 which says a gross profit of £148000, up from 146000 the previous year. https://harboroughtownfc.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Harborough-Town-Trading-2023.pdf
  11. He was brilliant Tuesday night. Have not seen anything credible that Morgan is joining Harborough. Seems a lot of guesswork going on.
  12. Well he’s left Stamford after years there and people are thinking it could be Kettering due to their budget. Most likely club if he’s staying at Step 3.
  13. Exactly. If anything, PSR should have made this project more likely as they have been unable to piss away as much money.
  14. Ah. Yes it’s not like that at all, but very different times. worth remembering although they have spent a fair chunk, they started from a base of pretty much nothing. Ipswich have spent the same as they did in their first season. I don’t like to see it, but it is pretty remarkable what they are doing so far.
  15. The initial fee for MGW was the same as we paid for Oliver Skipp. the add ons are for if they make Europe etc. And you are just deluded if you think he cost more than our team.
  16. Maddison lived in Ruddington, his house is for sale and can be seen on Rightmove. .
  17. Aside from Hilton on loan from Telford (who has not really played) we’ve not added but did ship some out in Daire (top scorer in the league last year) Ryan Inman and Kai Tonge. Some questioned this but for me none had performed at all this season and it’s not proving a bad decision so far.
  18. Another win today for Harborough against a determined Hitchin. Weren’t at our best but had the more clear cut chances and took it 1-0. 4 wins in a row and up to 7th.
  19. Although they have beat the side top of the league…….
  20. It was £15m. Been widely reported since. £10m cheaper than Skipp.
  21. Made the trip to Stamford today to watch Harborough. Good amount of bees fans made the journey to see us win 2-1 and the drama of a 97th min penalty save to bring home the three points. Quite a turnaround in form with 10 points out the last 12.
  22. It’s a modern tidy ground so does lack the old features such as tired looking flakey paint and old rickety stands but it doesn’t make it a bad place to watch football. Far from it. And improvements are to be added by the end of the season with a new 150 seater stand, further turnstiles and a new catering and directors unit being constructed.
  23. I’m not sure the grounds location is an issue, still very walkable from town, I’m not massively convinced people don’t go as it’s a bit more of an effort for some than it could be. The main reason for the lower than some crowds is the club simply hasn’t been established at this level (or even the level below) but it’s growing superbly. I started watching a couple of years ago during first season at Step 4. Gates were around 200 and 250 was great. Now averaging not far off 500 and to have two sellouts at the Beehive in a season, taking 500 to Tonbridge and 3500 to Reading was unthinkable not so long ago. With a thriving junior section and efforts going into developing the youth academy up to the under 23s the club should continue to grow. But agree, it’s not really a rugby town.
  24. Home fans enter through a makeshift turnstile over the other side, behind the same goal with access around the back of the clubhouse. (A proper one is being installed soon to meet regs required in this league). Away fans then go through the normal turnstile and make their way up to the top of the ground and once they are in that side from halfway line is open to home fans who then on the final whistle move out and away fans leave. It does work but probably could do with a proper entrance at the far end. But until recently there hasn’t been even a remote possibility there would be a full segregated Beehive, so all in good time!
  25. I assume you are referring to me who made you look silly when you claimed Kettering took 500 fans to a league game at St Ives when the gate was 481. And our ‘fat ****’ had your many high earners in his pocket today..
