  1. Haha, couldn’t hear your odd lot either, apart from the 5-10 abusive old scruffy ones who were said to have been racist. (Quite likely given the Harborough players reaction during the warm up). Anyway, you came thinking you’d steam roll little Harborough Town and you were rather poor. Maybe the attitude went down to the players.
  2. It only seems 5 mins ago that some thought we’d get Cole Palmer on loan as Maresca had joined us :-D
  3. We can only have 2 PL loans, and we already have them filled. Maybe palace will take Edouard back, but it will cost us. That leaves one to come in as we aren’t shelling out for them (nor should we the fees they would cost).
  4. I found myself at Stoke today with some family, Cannon is never going to be a premier league striker, he has a very poor touch. He’ll do ok in the Championship.
  5. He only ever signed for a game, he lives in Portugal. Might play when over for Spurs commitments is how it was left. I wouldn’t put it down as a PR stunt, just a chance meeting from the manager Mitch in Spurs hospitality that turned into something. And having met him he was a lovely humble bloke and had time for everyone at the Club, and he didn’t pick up a penny.
  6. All I’ve ever suggested is that 400 tickets is more than fair. And based on past attendances and away followings it shows it’s more than fair. Every single one of your loyal followers will get a ticket.
  7. I said league game, do keep up. This was the FA Cup. You have not taken 400 to any league game this season. And a bit of stretch to say under 200 St Ives in the ground when they usually get around the 300 mark.
  8. The gate at St Ives v Kettering was 471.And I think you are getting slightly carried away if you think Kettering Town are regularly taking 400 plus away from home. You were often getting around 600 for home games last season. Having 400 for Harborough is more than fair and every single away regular would have one, plus more if the will was there to distribute like that. I have no scientific method of assessing entitlement so have to go off the amount of plums across social media.
  9. I’m not ‘turning’ on RVN, I’m just not sure how that was any different to a Cooper performance. We were pretty much battered all game and came away with nothing. Great to get the early goal which at least made it a bit interesting until they scored but still. 1 shot on target.
  10. I do find this entitlement from established non league clubs amusing. Bury had the same whine and expected half the ground. As far as I’m aware you have not take over 400 to any league game in recent times so the allocation will be just fine. You may get a few more if Harborough have some left. But the club/police can’t win really as I’d seen Kettering fans on twitter upset at the thought it wasn’t going to be segregated.
  11. We already have broke the rules and got off on a technicality. And we don’t really have an awful lot to show for it.
  12. I still can’t get my head around how we won the league, then an FA Cup whilst Forest were struggling in the championship, and now we are miles behind them.
  13. He’s certainly a legend of the game, but isn’t particularly young in terms of management and has done nothing. Those reading into anything during his 4 games at Man Utd are mad. Totally different managing a side full time to a few games picking the team (far more talented than ours). It’s certainly a gamble. There were plenty trying to pretend Cooper was great when we got him, seeing the same again. I’m on the fence with this.
  14. Better than ours.
  15. Meh. the penalty we got was never a pen, he tripped over himself 😀 but should have had one before that, although so should they. that was pretty rubbish, again.
  16. He’s not going to be out for 12 months though. He won’t be fully fit but they won’t be paying if he’s technically available. Best case we will probably get about 5m euros which is just over 4m. Which isn’t really a great amount of money.
  17. I’m not convinced you ever really recover from an injury like that.
  18. Said the same about the Tonbridge, probably the best away I’ve ever had too. I started watching Harborough about 2 and half seasons ago. We would scrape 200 on a Saturday game. It’s been building nicely and averaged over 300 last season. 477 present last Saturday (with no away following) is very good growth, almost double from when I first started going. Just shy of 300 midweek was also reasonable (from where we were). im glad people are backing them at Reading and it will lead to more coming, unrealistic to expect hundreds more on the home gates but if we can start to get over 500 on a regular basis over the next couple of years I think that will be quite something.
  19. Reading have a league game on the Tuesday that isn’t moving. They will likely play some fringe players in this. Probably will still be too strong, but you never know.
  20. Ryan Inman has gone, he’s been on a dual at Rushden anyway. Simply wasn’t good enough. Kai needs game time, only been a bit part player this year and hasn’t done anything when has been given a chance. Tendai going is a bit sad but also not unsurprising. Top scorer in the league last season but again has struggled this year. 4th choice striker so again will want to play. Cracking signing for anyone in Step 4 but the gap between Step 4 and 3 is pretty big. Bigger than I thought it would be. In FA Cup related news we’ve sold out the first batch of 2000 tickets over two evenings and have requested more.
  21. The club isn’t going to crash. The youth section will being in a couple of hundred grand a year, Brooke House also pay to use the site plus others like Villa/FDS. It’s always busy and always taking money. It’s thriving.
  22. Extended highlights on the Sunday evening and selected for overseas coverage (according to Reading?!). But have not seen any mention of money on offer.
  23. That’s a big negative. Yes we wanted on it on TV but had a feeling it wouldn’t be due to Readings low crowds and issues. But nothing is dampening this, Harborough Town in the FA Cup second round is immense and we can’t wait to go to a side in the prem not too long ago. Around 500 went to Tonbridge (with tremendous backing) and reckon we could double that for this one.
  24. Nope, due at the game tomorrow as a spectator. Currently on a two game ban.
  25. I liked him a lot when on loan at Harborough. To be playing at step 3 and 4 as a teenager is hard work, especially for a classy player like him. Seems a really nice lad too and I’ve seen him a few times watching Harborough when Kettering not playing. ill be surprised if he doesn’t get a full time pro contract somewhere within the next year or so.
