  1. For £25m, you’d hope he’d be one of our better championship players.
  2. It was when Forest were beating them, folk decided they were utter shite and that the bubble had burst 😀
  3. They got promoted from nowhere on the back of some decent loan players and Brennan Johnson coming through. I think they only had 7 players under contract after getting promoted. They had to get loads in and it was hit and miss (spent similar to Ipswich have) but since then they seems to have calmed down and seem to have a sensible transfer policy that we could only dream of. (Or they’ve got lucky with them, maybe a bit of both). it’s not like our league winning side, far from it. But I doubt forest fans really care.
  4. Im nor massively convinced we can moan about playing the system given some of our practices over the years.
  5. I mean we could do this all day. Sangare was similar to Soumore Wood cheaper than Daka. Anderson was £15m as they managed to get £20m for the GK. MGW fee might well go up to £40m, but that was dependant on European football and England call up. And looks a very good deal still for them. of course they have spent money, like we have. Like Ipswich have. But they are doing very well and on the whole have made excellent signings.
  6. There are some sour grapes on here. Forest have not spent the fees mentioned, Elanga was £15m, Sels just £5m and initial for Gibbs-White was the same we paid for Skipp. And I could cry thinking how they got Hudson-Odoi for £3m. They are a very good side doing well, that’s football. And it goes in circles. We’ve had recent success we could only dream of, it now looks like our time to be shit.
  7. https://harboroughtownfc.org/bienvenido-la-media-inglesa/ Quite random, but the business acumen of those running the club has been good to date. Must generate some interest with the twitter post announcing it getting over 3000 likes. Compare this with 248 likes for photos of yesterday’s win or under 100 for the winning goal.
  8. Superb afternoon down at Harborough Town. Somehow were 1 nil down at the break only to be reduced to 10 just after half time. continued to dominate and got an equaliser on 86 and a winner in the 14th min of injury time cue absolute scenes. Most of the added time was for the ref who spent 10 mins on the deck after his hamstring went. Get yourself down non league.
  9. That was two bald men fighting over a comb. The lack of offside was a joke, but RVN seems to be suggesting we played well? We were crap, as were they. They keep getting hammered at OT yet aside from the goal we didn’t test them at all.
  10. Yep. He’s 15, the youth age teams of the very best academy’s struggle against L2/non league teams so lets not expect too much.
  11. We’ve already tried that. The Everton players are quite a bit better than ours.
  12. Not too sure why people think Dyche would be the answer. Might tighten up the defence a bit but hoofing it to Vardy isn’t going to work. Everton have better players than we do and he’s been port there for a while. it had to be Moyes or Potter when RVN was appointed. But then I doubt they wanted it.
  13. I did wonder, it didn’t seem a squad awash with money. I believe Kee is mates with the manager but was also told he’s not picking up much. You’d need to spend a bit if/when promoted, it’s a different beast. But good to see you doing so well.
  14. Very good point away at Telford for Harborough. Dempsey Arlott-John was back, not sure how long for but feel he needs to settle somewhere.
  15. No stopping Quorn. What’s changed, has there been a big budget? They are making light work of a tough league to win.
  16. They didn’t massively overspend, they only failed PSR as they sold Johnson after the PSR deadline. And then were well within the limits. If anything it illustrates how piss poor our spending and recruitment has been as they still have more wriggle room than us with a much much superior squad.
  17. Harborough should have made that 7 straight wins today, missed chances, a penalty skied out the ground and a 92nd minute winner for Stourbridge when they slotted home following a good save from our keeper, which I think was his first of the game. That’s football.
  18. No. It might help a bit longer term as new PSR rules mean interest is charged on any loans and this means it doesn’t happen.
  19. He’s not good enough. Totally right decision to sell, it was an odd transfer to buy him at the time especially as he arrived with a bad back. not sure it helps much to FFP though given we paid around £7m for him.
  20. Yes I thought the same. 6 clubs at (albeit 2 on loan) at 23 years old probably says he isn’t very good.
  21. I’m not being difficult here, I’d genuinely like to read these accounts. Not sure why you can’t just post the link to them? But as others have said, Harboroughs revenue comes from much more than match days. Doubt there is a club in the region bringing in more from the clubhouse and partners use of the facility. Another super win today, I’ve no doubt Mitch and the club are looking towards the playoffs now.
  22. Sean ****ing Dyche and I’m done.
  23. Where? He’s not pulled anything out other than a graph with no referencing. Where are the accounts which show a loss each year and a loss of 85k last season? That’s what he’s said, I’d like to read them.
  24. Where have you got those figures from? And why is there nothing to explain what is what on the graph? I’m no accountant but a quick google search shows accounts from 2023 which says a gross profit of £148000, up from 146000 the previous year. https://harboroughtownfc.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Harborough-Town-Trading-2023.pdf
  25. He was brilliant Tuesday night. Have not seen anything credible that Morgan is joining Harborough. Seems a lot of guesswork going on.
