This just fills me with despair. I’ve watched during the ten year period where it was all brilliant and everything was going smoothly. I’ve also watched us home and away in the years leading to going down to league one and before where we were totally garbage. Turned out going that low was actually the best thing that happened. I’ve always been able to take being sh*t, it’s what makes the highest so high. Problem for me now is, we’re not just sh*t it’s almost like we try and self sabotage. Im in such a strange place with us where I feel completely detached but also still yet so frustrated.

That chasing pack are hot on Forest heels now. Nothing I would love more than to see them completely fold and even better, we do it to them with the worst footballing team we’ve had in years.

Of course he isn’t coming back and it’s probably for the best. We certainly need somebody in his mould though. We are hell bent on recruiting ‘footballing managers’ who all have a soft underbelly and create a squad with the same. We need a complete reset and to get some identity and that starts with a manager laying the foundations by creating a group of players that want to play and that’s certainly what we lack. I remember Pearson getting rid of Gradel and me thinking he was mad as he was our most talented player, in hindsight every time he did something like that with either him or getting rid of big money Mills he was doing this for the greater good of the squad. We need a manager who can not only spot those issues but drain that swamp as well. Managing players to the point of actually wanting to leave rather than picking up a pay packet

He has to go. People can hind behind him not being backed etc but his tactics are dogsh*t. No doubt our squad is very poor but Cooper evidenced we can be competitive and he was shown the door for not being good enough. How you can not at least try 3 at the back and change tactics going forward (By change, I mean give it a go) after being completely inept for so long is beyond me. -
Leicester Vs Ipswich- 18th May - Jamie Vardy final game?
CountesthorpeFox1 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think we will already be mathematically done by the Ipswich game. As horrific and toxic the last few years have been from bottom to top I really hope that is forgotten for one day and one day alone. Over the years he has given us some of the most magical moments this football club could have dreamt of. I hope he walks off that pitch that day knowing what he means to the fans even if he isn’t what he was, it’s the very least that man deserves. No player is bigger than any club….. Apart from Jamie Vardy. -
We’ve turned down 15 million for two players of pure profit. That would have allowed us to sign three 20 million pound players and one 15 million pound player on 5 year contracts. Mental we’ve decided to opt against doing that as the difference between staying up and going down is far greater than 15 million each year that we would need to make in revenue to cover the other years. If anybody from the board has the audacity to come out and hide behind ‘We have our hands tied by PSR’ after this stunt for two players who can’t even get on the grass I’ll lose my mind.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

I have been saying for a while we need to go to a back 3 with the defenders we have. I’d give Justin the nod at RCB in this over Coady though. If I was an opposing manager playing against that i’d be trying to suck our RWB high up the pitch to expose that lack of pace on the right side of defence with that set up. It would need Justin in for the pace and Faes would be nowhere near my starting 11 so would have to be Justin. -
What’s the betting this is the game Mads has a stinker and makes a clanger for a goal. Poor Jakob after last week (He’s been ok for the rest as well) but we can’t leave Mads out if he’s fit.
-
I think what’s more damning than the list itself is looking at where the clubs he’s been at were when he took over compared to when he left. Southampton were the best of the rest at that time no? Everton were a solid mid table club that now can’t avoid circling the plug hole. Us- I mean, granted we were on a bit of a slide but I still think the squad that was inherited at that time should have been coming 8th and look at us now.
-
I think if we stay up he will be the perfect case of have we learnt any lessons. He’s much improved and one of our better players but he’s on a silly wage. We have to offer him an extension on lower wages and if he rejects which he likely will. Sell him whilst his stock is high. If he accepts, great and we build with him but we simply have to be more sensible moving forward or else we will find ourselves in the same position. He’s been much, much better but not 80k a week better.

BUZZING! How we are out the relegation zone is beyond me! we are, that’s all that matters. This is what I hate about football though as my head has already gone to if Southampton beat Ipswich and we beat Everton we can get a gap…. So strange considering i’m the most pessimistic person until I foresee results going our way (which they never do) Come on City! Stay up and rebuild in the summer -
My daughter was asking what she should do for her 7th birthday today. Me- Why don’t you have a Leicester City party? Her- Because nobody would show up. sums up Leicester….. 4-0 spuds and that’s after they have taken the foot off the gas being 3-0 up at halftime.
-
we will get battered tomorrow. So depressed with it all at the minute. Much worse teams are coming here and convincingly beating us so I can’t see anything different. We are just properly crap. Every other season we have been in a similar position id fancy us to give it a go of staying up but not this time.

I am not entirely sure how true this is but,. I saw a stat once that said if games were 80 minutes long that season we would have came 4th and qualified for Champions League football…. We were relegated. Edit- I have just looked into the first half of the seasons results and it seems as if that stat is absolute tosh. Maybe I dreamt it.
