Horrible little cretin.
-
Well that’s Stoke sh*thousing a 0-1 at our place next week then….
-
I wasn’t suggesting any of those teams I just meant generically a team at the lower end of the table. But now you’ve mentioned them, I fancy Watford to come good but could easily be West Brom or Coventry as you say so it just emphasises my point that there will be a late arrival.
-
Bang on. you can guarantee at the end of the season you’ll see a team in the top 6 who are currently lurking in about 18th-14th who everybody has already wrote off. Happens every year, a decent couple of months after Christmas for a nobody teams and they find themselves 5th.

I wouldn’t say it’s weird. I really don’t usually have sentiment for players and I’ll clap them etc but couldn’t really give a toss, once they’ve gone they’ve gone. King won league 1, the championship and the prem with us. As a fan base he never got a goodbye he deserved due to covid so he’s my exception to the rule. I don’t think it’s strange that I’d like to pay respects to somebody who did so much for our club (as I’m sure others will) - ok hoping he scores is a bit far but if it meant nothing for the result I’d be all for it.

Norwich 0-2 LCFC - Post Match Thread
CountesthorpeFox1 replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
For all the stick Hamza has got over the years I think he was the best player on the pitch last night. Didn’t put a foot wrong and by no means am I saying he’s better than Ricci P but you could argue he’s better at that role. -
Devastated I can’t go to this. Pearson simply has to bring Kingy on with 10 mins to go to get the standing ovation he deserves. Hope we’re 3-0 up and he scores a consolation goal just so he can get what few players get and a cheer from the whole stadium!
-
I like how 3 of his 4 goals have been ‘harder to miss’ Seems to be in the right place at the right time and that’s not a coincidence. To have that at such a young age is a real, real positive. Plus he grafts and all the technical stuff will only get better, what’s not to like.
-
This is a good post about him. As a fan base we need to remember we’re in the championship and if he had all the attributes he wouldn’t be here. He’s raw and will frustrate for sure but will have the ability to win matches and over the course of the season will gain us points. Its Enzos job to make him a better player, I’d be dragging him in for a meeting on Monday morning to praise his performance but show him numerous clips of where he should be more composed and making different decisions, telling him even with a MOTM performance it’s these fine details stopping him from furthering himself as a player and it’s his choice if he wants to make it to the top because he has all the attributes.

I’m going to go with an unpopular opinion. Everybody is crying out for Ndidi to be replaced by Casadei but I actually think he’s so important to the way we played on Friday, that high press was obvious from the get go and I think Ndidi’s press was so pivotal in us winning the ball higher up the pitch. I know he becomes a bit brain dead on the ball in the final third (although he’s scored 3 this season to be fair to him) I think he has to start if we want to be winning the ball high up the pitch. I think enzo appreciates neither Ndidi or KDH are really that good on the ball technically but they’re both so good off the ball and it’s the wingers job to create in this system.

Southampton (a) Pre Match Thread

I appreciate Salahs quality and by no means am I saying he’s a bad player. Like you say, you simply don’t hit them figures without being a brilliant footballer. He’s just not the kind of player I like. That’s purely personal though. I’m not talking about city because we all know even at our best he walks into our teams and we’d all love him. I never really saw it with Riyad, I always just thought he was magic and never really felt he was greedy. Maybe I had my city shaded glasses on though. It’s easier to dislike players who don’t play for us though isn’t it so maybe I’d be like that with salah if he ever played for us (which obviously I’d always have taken) -

Unpopular opinion from me but I still think his decision making is atrocious. He has all the attributes to be world class but that lets him down. He’d frustrate the hell out of me if I was his manager even more so because of his ability. He just seems to care more about individual accolades than the team. I always said I’d pick Mane over him any day of the week (granted he’s not as good as he was now) loads about Southampton V Leicester in my statement. -
Is Kel on his way out? I’ve not seen any concrete links and now looks as if Everton have sorted something else. Have I missed something?
-
This. Evertons best and most consistent period for a year shy of 4 decades was under that man. He deserves a happy birthday from them.
-
It wasn’t! The only serious part was me asking if it was hospitality? I’m all for a food topic in any shape or form, I don’t really care what part of the stadium it comes from
-
I’m sure I saw this on social media the other day. I’m sure this is part of some sort of hospitality? I am fully on board with this thread but a topic of this magnitude needs some sort of regulation, maybe ‘only from the concourse’ (Tell me who you vote without telling me who you vote for stance if I’ve ever seen one)

I think your argument is being spun in a way to fit your narrative. Stowell didn’t turn KS into the worlds best keeper who could do everything because KS simply wasn’t that. You say his command of his area regressed? He was trash at it from the start we just had better defenders at defending set plays in KS early days (due to the nature of defending then, we were championship and didn’t have ball players) - let’s not forget, KS was quality, never was he or was he going to be world class. Also, why are you saying he was capable of commanding of his area? This is just a genuine curiosity as for me he isn’t the tallest nor strongest (attributes to compliment that trait) Theres no evidence MS was screaming from the hill tops that Ward should be the new number 1, he would have had no say whatsoever in that, he just worked with the keepers on the books. Arguably there is a professional goalkeeper somewhere in Ward, he always looked decent in cup games for us and was actually an international number 1 at that point so I have no idea if he was training well as well, but and the big but, something happened. His confidence was shot (probably BR slagging everybody off) and here’s no coming back for the lad now but to put that on Stowell without any actual evidence is just you basically saying you don’t rate him on a hunch, which is fine but it’s just a weird placement of blame when there’s so many more to be had.
-
That’s Tosh! Kasper made a point of individually mentioning how influential Stowell was in his goodbye video. Thats not PR stuff, nobody forces you to mention a back room staff member
-
For like a decade as well. It’s not his fault that his job went from working with a high quality individual who had the ability to improve to working with a guy with holes for hands over night.
-
Unfortunately for you this comment was too close to the comment about Pearson receiving the WhatsApp message from skakey, otherwise it would have made me laugh more than any other comment this year
-
I couldn’t agree more with this policy….. If it was 2 years ago though. Now we have the financial insecurities of not being promoted this season (which I think we will see if we go up normality resumes and if we don’t we’re probably selling everything half decent we have and spending a decade in the football league) We are now in a position of taking low fees and taking high wages off our books to not get promoted and risk our future. Don’t get me wrong we could be gambling by not getting rid and screwing ourselves even more if we don’t get promoted by keeping the likes of Kel etc But if we go up or not, after this season your original point simply has to be put in place, it’s common practice I have no idea why we’ve not done this everybody else bloody does
-
I’d rather be a premier league teams number 2 than a championship teams number 4. he will be behind Ward here because he’s so bad with his feet (I’m not doubting he’s a better goalkeeper)
-
No, according to Twitter that’s all sorted. He signed on the dotted line but only had his suit, we’re scrambling around looking for training gear to fit him so we can announce the informal Roman

Huddersfield (A) - Post Match Thread

Still very early doors and by no means am I saying we will win the league but I always say a sign of champions is to play poorly and come out with the 3 points. That’s the positive I’ll be taking from this start, still lots to do and areas need improvement but we’re winning games and that’s all that’s needed at the end of the day. -
I’d go with that or give the Marcal instead of Praet and have Marcal & Mavididi switching sides throughout the game. I think he will go with the same outfield 10 that started V Coventry though
