Mahrez will be a legend in a lot of peoples eyes because he was so instrumental in us winning the prem but he’s not for- I’d argue he was probably the most talented player to play for us, same with Kante but Vardy is and they’re not IMO buts that’s all it is really, opinions.

I don’t think King sneaks in, I think he barges past most to sit in that list of legends. As you say, we’ve had plenty of players that are better but they haven’t done what he’s done. In terms of ability he was a high end champ/to lower end prem standard midfielder but having better players can’t play a part otherwise no league one clubs would have legends. Forgetting stats that he has achieved he was a mainstay for a long period of time who helped build the foundations of where we are today as a club from when he joined the first team. During that period he was nothing short of brilliant and the player I would have been devastated to lose at that time. He did so much to get us to where we are today and you can’t say that about many players- Legend. Top scoring midfielder & winning 3 different leagues to boot (He may have not played a massive part but you try and take that medal off his mantelpiece)- Also, didn’t he score on the last day V Everton?

I think you’re emphasising the point of how crazy them odds are. 20/1 is massive, that’s the bookies saying they have no chance. I think he was suggesting the bookies are crazy for the reasons you’ve just stated.

I’m the same, I find him frustrating and think if we go up he will actually really struggle. I think Fatawu will adapt better to the prem even though Mavs technically better. I find Mav infuriating and his decision making always wrong…. Hats off to him tonight he was outstanding in all the technical bits along with the decision making and hopefully more to come and he can prove me wrong.

I take nothing away from the effort you put into this before I start…… with that being said, I don’t think any team in that top 4 will match the points tally in the second set of 23 games to there first 23. Fatigue, injuries, Jan transfer windows and teams that are fighting relegation & fighting for play offs will have to up there game at the back end of the season. Far too much to go wrong for all 4 of us in my opinion.

As logical as that sounds the logistics behind that would just never work. You’ve got the EFL governing 72 teams and a further 20 teams governed elsewhere. This is 92 separate individual companies (assuming nobody is relegated from the EFL and nobody comes up- Which obviously they do) and over the course of a decade 40 of the 92 are switching between the two separate governing bodies. All of which will have existing financial years which are already set, this would have huge implications on when tax is due etc and we’re not talking your sole trader who owes £4,000 in tax (if they bother declaring it of course). This would bankrupt loads of the lower league teams. If Football was starting today you could implement it but these are established businesses- Even then you’d have loss kicking off saying technically we’re a ltd company and we operate within the laws of the UK and we will do whatever we want.

I want to take a bit of reflection and not moan considering we are still on course to beat the league record. we were always going to have a rough patch and honestly think WBA will probably turn us over on Saturday as it’s a good time to play us. The football is boring to be honest (even when winning) but points show it’s effective. It’s more frustrating as a fan when you saw after we conceded and we went at them for the last minute we created a clear cut chance. I honestly believe playing like this we will go up, but i think Enzo learns when to play like that and when to go direct we will come rock bottom if we do. Again, not moaning about Enzo. He’s a young manager and probably can see this also but knows this will be enough in this league (well i hope so anyway) and he’s not just one dimensional because that’s how it feels a little bit watching us (even if we are winning)

exactly this. It’s the same argument as Maradona vs Messi/Ronaldo. I’m not old enough to have seen Maradona but i’m of the belief he wouldn’t have been close to these two in terms of numbers in the modern game. I bet anybody who was old enough to watch him live would argue he was better due to the entertainment value he gave them as that was probably higher. In the same way if there is a striker for leicester that my grandkids bang on about after his 300th leicester goal i’ll probably mutter something like ‘He’s no Jamie Vardy’

I’m going to disagree with most. I think today’s team wins that game. For starters, them players were not the players we are remembering them as in regards to Vardy & Mahrez, but that’s not why i’m saying today’s team wins. I think today’s team wins more on a reflection on how the much the game has changed in a decade. How the tactics we used then are now dated unfortunately. As somebody previously posted, if you’re asking what i’d rather watch it would be 13/14 every single day of the week.

I don’t think it was that early but i’m suggesting it could have been wrapped up a fair few weeks before we heard any rumours about it. Probably a week or so before we were linked with Winks (based on his comments)

But MPH asked what ‘you’ would be suing them for…. they’ve not cost you a penny. If anything, there could be an argument that they’ve saved you money as potentially you’re paying less for for things at the club than you would if we were in the prem (I know that’s not really the case but you get the point)

Really not been much since giving up my season ticket about 4 years ago with working weekends and having young ones, but I’m going to this so apologies for an inevitable Leeds win which will be all my fault i’m advance!

But my god, the s*x was great!

My fear tonight was they would sit back all night and get a 0-0 or grab one on the break for the win and it would inspire teams to park the bus against us and make our home games much more difficult. The fact we put 3 past them will put teams off from doing that a bit and they’ll see so far the only team to beat us came at us which will play into our hands a bit more. Very happy.

I think the problem with muggings and burglaries is they’re relatively petty crimes (obviously not to the victim but in terms of what they deal with) and take considerable resources to actually investigate, find the culprit to arrest etc. whereas with this, the fact they could have made one call to the club to get the culprits name and address due to his seat and send 1 car to go and get him, combine that with with the public outrage it’s a relatively easy win for them. Don’t get me wrong, when my car was broken into and mine and my partners stuff was stolen and they didn’t send anybody out and just gave me a crime number I was miffed off but when you take the personal side out of it nobody was hurt and I claimed on my insurance. They’re like most of the public sector and grossly underfunded so there hands are tied on where and when they spend the money really.

Let’s be honest we all hate watching us knock it about the back because we all have PTSD from rodgersball. This is different. Yea, we have hearts in mouth moments but it has a point. We draw them in to create space in behind. It’s called beating the press. it’s not going anywhere and we’ve won 8 out of 9 so there is zero point moaning because it’s working. We all know we struggle a lot more when they have 11 men behind the ball in a narrow formation so let’s just embrace it. It’s not Rodgers style, thus has purpose and as much as it scares me I’m enjoying the football we play again which is a breath of fresh air.

I do t think he’d work on the right side as he’s so left footed. He literally hasn’t got a right foot it seems (not a criticism, every player has weaknesses) I think if you put him him on the right it nullifies a quick to ball to the right winger because he has to go across his body to use his left foot. I know that sounds silly because he obviously has to come inside from the left at times but a defender always shows you the outside. I say this from a place of being totally one footed myself and if I’m put on the left I’ll cut in on my right every single time and get found out quite quickly. I just want to clarify I’m also not comparing myself to a professional footballer in any way haha
