I’m excited to see him not managed by Enzo. Really excited of how good he can be with the shackles off, think he can be the biggest entertainer since Mahrez.

Would love it if it’s all a Rudkin Masterclass to get fans back on side. Agree the deal to sell KDH for 30 mill and get Golding on the cheap. Announce Golding and pull the plug on the KDH deal and get the official site to repost Amarty chucking the Chelsea flag followed by announcing KDH contract extension 😂

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

It’s just like watching Leicester’s Enzo ball, hanging on to the hope that means when we play a decent team that comes at us we will be better. Maybe misplaced mind. -
I find the whole thing bizarre. He agreed to stay here because we agreed to his demands and now he’s going to a club that want complete control over everything. Im not denying it’s a big step up in his career and that bits understandable but behind the scenes at Chelsea is worse than being ran by Rudkin. For a man who sticks to his philosophy and principles it’s a bit of a strange move. Think he will do better at Chelsea than he would have done here with that style though as I do think we would have gone down under him playing the way we do. Not gutted nor happy he’s going, feel very impartial. My concern is who we bring in because I have no idea who i’d go for now.

How? The top picture is a right dump and the bottom one looks lovely.

This is like when he was going to Arsenal right? Like when he ended up staying because it’s all part of the script? I feel that if he actually does go we are all going to feel like that wife who’s been cheated on who brokenly just asks ‘What has she got that I haven’t?’

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Although this tickled me, I can’t see us getting any better than him in the position we are in. We we’re a much better team when he came back in under Dean Smith last season. He’s a decent centre back with moments of madness granted. I think people forget how good he was for us consistently because he had bad form and fell out with Rodgers then sat on our bench for so long. -

I think we are actually going to need quite a lot of players considering we are losing so many in Nacho, Praet, Ndidi, Albrighton, Vesty & co. That’s also assuming Vardy extends. I think we needed an 8 without losing any so realistically we will need 2 of Ndidi goes (possibly 3 depending on KDH). I think we will need somebody challenges winks, a striker, a winger and several centre backs. I would like to hope we are looking at/enquiring about all of the below but obviously not getting them all and only going for any of them if the deal is right. Beraton Diaz - He looks like some player Szmodics - think his fee would be too high Hamer- we all know how what he does Jordan James- hopefully relatively cheap now they’re down Sensi- low risk on a free Callum Ohare- Rate him but think we’d have to pay silly wages as others are interested and don’t want to do that Jack Clarke- would be good with the Fatuwu & Mav Soyuncu- Worth a punt on loan, knows the club and Brodg is gone. Athleti clearly don’t want him Fabio Carvalho- They will now clearly look to loan him to a lower Prem team fighting relegation -
I took my daughter to her first game this season against Birmingham in the FA cup and at school they asked her ‘Who is somebody that you think is inspiring and has changed the world’ - She responded with ‘Jamie Vardy, he can score with his head’ Proud dad moment. I’ve not got favourite children or anything but one has seen Jamie Vardy live and was born in Leicester and the other has never seen Jamie Vardy live and was born in Derby living in Nottingham his whole life….

This will never happen, not that i disagree with you but he just won’t change the system. Id be thinking similar at this point, play 4-2-3-1 with Nacho in the hole, he would be good in that role. Nachos problem is and always has been he is incapable of playing as a lone striker, no coincidence every time he plays in a 2 or in the hole behind he plays well. I genuinely don’t believe the players that we have couldn’t destroy teams, it’s the system that’s slow and has been figured out. Every time we get the ball we wait for the opposition to regroup
-
Couldn’t disagree more. I don’t remember one goal we have conceded this season where i’ve thought he should have saved that but I remember plenty thinking that’s a cracking save. He’s a great shot stopper. If I had any criticism of him it would be his command of his area but if he had it all he wouldn’t be playing for us in the second tier. I genuinely believe he ends up at a top club as number 1 in 4 years time.
-
The whole KDH v Winks passing stats is such a null argument anyway isn’t it. KDH will naturally have to play more risky passes due to his role and Winks sole job is to recycle possession and tire the opposition. with that said, Winks is clearly the better passer of the two. KDH biggest asset has never been or ever will be his technical ability. He’s progressive on the ball and outstanding off of it. They’re chalk and cheese but both arguably our best two players
-
I fear quite the opposite. If they’re mathematically in the playoffs they absolutely will have something to play for, meaning his squad choice could well decide who joins them in the playoffs. If i’m Martin I’d tactically play the kids claiming i’m ‘resting players’ knowing full well we lose because Id much rather play Leicester than Leeds at the minute. I appreciate it’s a similar outcome as having nothing to play for but it’s actually worse because sometimes teams play better when relaxed. Take any team that’s mathematically relegated, they go and win the next game. Them tactically losing the game will be far more detrimental than having nothing to play for
-
Did we secure playoffs today? Whatever happened to the ‘teams that can’t catch us’ thread Bit of positivity adding Cov to that list
-
It’s not the style of play that frustrates me, it’s how one dimensional we are. Frustrates the hell out of me.
-
Yes, after further looking into Cardiff was 08 and Millwall 04. Championship team is due in the final then…. Let’s hope it’s not Cov
-
I think we will lose tomorrow but it has got me thinking,. If we did win and draw Cov that guarantees a championship team in the final. When was the last time a second tier team got to the FA cup final? I can’t seem to find it on google. I find the last one to win it (West ham 1980) and a list of second tier league cup finalist but not FA cup and i can’t actually think of any.

I think that may be a tad harsh. He has a certain skill set and his end product has always been a strong point for him. Granted, he’s not as good as he was due to age but i think it’s all about what system he plays in. I honestly don’t think he would look out of place in a team like Ipswich who base there game on organisation and discipline, he has always and will always be great at that and that takes a type of mental strength that loads of players do not have. Take Mavadidi, for instance, he could never work iin a Pearson system whereas Marc would thrive. That’s not to take anything away from Mav as there will never be a day where Albrighton dribbles through 5 and makes something happen out of nothing. I have always said Albrighton was 10 years too late. in a traditional 4-4-2 he would have made it to a top club, problem is that position of RM doesn’t exist anymore.

I’m not slating Mav, i just found him frustrating last night. Of course the miss you mentioned was the obvious one. By over and over again i was alluding to the ones that were saved, they looked good saves for the camera but i actually think they were relatively routine as they weren’t anywhere near the corners. with a bit more composure with his final ball last night we could have been out of sight, same with the pass to Fatawu in the first half, that was shocking. Bear in mind I only said I found him more frustrating last night as an example. I agree we were better with him on the pitch and most things went through him last night. He had to come off though as he was spent. I think we lost so much taking him and Daka off with the press to be honest but they were both battered. Just to clarify i’m a mav fan. His final ball was off last night but he’s still worth his coin being on the pitch. -

This is spot on. Ive heard loads of people slating him for the miss (Don’t get me wrong it was a shocker) but he also made a goal out of nothing, should have had one that was ruled out and we were such a better team whilst he was on the pitch. Macadidi was more frustrating for me last night as he missed over and over again. I’m not going to get hung up on one horrific miss when i’m my opinion he’s the best player we have for that position and to be honest, think he played well last night bar that moment of madness. Unfortunately for him that miss came about 5 minutes before our complete collapse (which had nothing to do with him as the press left when he did) -
Sometimes I just wish I wouldn’t open my mouth.
-
We ended up drawing/losing this….. simply for the fact that we’ve missed so many chances it’s just sod’s law. That’s not being negative I think we’ve played well tonight, we just can’t keep missing guilt edge chances

Absolutely tragic! Awful for everybody involved, since becoming a parent horrible things like this just hit differently.

Wouldn’t want to go near anybody who’s been over to Saudi. Think of the wages they’d be demanding. Of course it wouldn’t be anywhere near what they’re all currently on but they’d still be massively overinflated. That’s how we’ve ended up in such a mess by paying people silly wages. Don’t disagree with your point about his ability, i’d just be very wary of anybody who’s been out in Saudi. I bet there fitness and match sharpness has dropped drastically as well, playing against dross doesn’t do them any good i. terms of quality
