100% agree with this, aside from the obvious in Fatawu Winks shifting the ball and allowing us to remain higher up the pitch was the key to the turnaround. Excellent today, it must be said. Overall, although it’s tempting after the 1st half, can’t be *too* critical today. Have to just enjoy what is a fantastic and unexpected result after being 2-0 down. 🦊

Back from the US today to see the first game of the season live in the flesh. I have to say, the game management in the 2nd half was even worse than I expected it to be. I knew when we scored we’d completely shut up shop and try and take the 1-0, there was (aside from the Vardy chance) absolutely no intention from SC of us trying to get another to kill the game. Meanwhile we invited wave after wave of Bournemouth pressure onto us in the hope we would cling on. There is zero chance we can do that regularly, as we have shown. More teams than not will find enough quality to break us down and equalize, at that point the chances of us winning a game are, IMO, around the 0% mark. I agree largely with the sentiment of some on here that the team has enough technical ability to be a good side, certainly one that performs better than it has been. Skipp, Bounanotte, Mavididi and Faes were very good again today. Okoli is growing into what looks like a good physical partner for Wout too, and Hermansen is an excellent goalkeeper. We shouldn’t have to set up this way every single week, we should have enough to beat sides in this league. Under Cooper it doesn’t look like we’ll even have a go at anything other than snatching a 1-0 and running and I think that’s where the frustration lies. All in all, a good win today. It looks like we’ve been very unfortunate in that the looming points deduction has lumbered us with SC, and the only way we get rid is losses in a row.. Hopefully he can take the handbrake off and we have something to get behind! 🦊

If my Auntie had wheels she’d have been a bike. All the “ifs” in the world don’t make a blind bit of difference. We have started absolutely horridly and it’s showing zero signs of improving under Cooper’s tutelage. Sometimes, you have to look at a decision objectively and make a change. This was a poor appointment made under the assumption of a large points deduction. It stunk of “well it’s all we can get” when we made it, and it stinks even more now. The ONLY reason we have points on the board at this juncture is the players and their application. Cooper gets ZERO credit there. His tactics and game management is absolutely hideous. Like a girlfriend you have in year 7, you know it won’t last and it’s absolutely pointless, but you hang around on the off chance you might get some finger blasting action before all your mates. Well, at the minute, we’re the girlfriend and Steve is giving us a right fingering, only he’s floundering about near the wrong hole and we’re getting done up the ‘arris. Get him gone.
