People need to calm down. In 8 years he’ll still be considered “young”. He has plenty of time to grow into a complete player, even if he doesn’t perform today/get minutes. It feels like, on here especially, there’s a huge overreaction to almost everything. It’s crazy to think that when he’s Jamie Vardy’s age, Vardy will be 61!
-
Depends what you mean by “back” Do I think we’ll win a cup again? Probably not. But do I think we’ll get European football again? Yes - 100%.

We’ll be back, I have no doubt. Maybe it’ll be in 20 years, but that’s part of the rollercoaster that is our club!

Safe standing - time to act
niyaminski replied to Safe Standing Roadshow's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ultimately the club know this is a business like no other, and we’re customers who will never go away. They don’t give a shit about us. Never have. As others have said, they just want to tick boxes given by the league. -
Here’s to you Bilal El Khannouss Leicester loves you more than you will know Woah! To the Danny drinkwayer tune

Surely implementing safe standing is a drop in the ocean for them in terms of finances. And it’s such an easy way of getting fans and fan groups more onboard. Mind boggling (but very expected) that they chose the cheapest option. -
Wimbledon for me. Although hopefully Sheffield next year. A home game is normally the best part of a day. I understand why people are thinking about knocking it in the head. But I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love it. Especially after days like today.

Felt like they were running and playing for each other today. Great to see. Back to the usual next week I’d guess though.

Agreed. I’d guess outside the west stand by the players’ car park, so the media sitting in the west stand could see it. And how could we make it as effective as possible? When Everton got their deduction, they were holding up purple cards around the stadium. Although it was ridiculous, it attracted huge media attention. Where/how could physical banners/scarfs etc be produced? Do we need them? How would we fund them? Feels like a bit more detail/planning needs to go into this than “everyone turn up 10 minutes early than normal as an act to show discontent against the board”. I fully agree with the sentiment though, and am fully onboard.

First time I’ve ever done it. And the only reason was because of a combination of what was happening on the pitch and the fact that the stands were completely silent: As soon as seats appeared in the singing section, I went straight up. Also, I wasn’t criticising - just saying what I thought during the game 👍
-
I was in G1 for the first half yesterday. I didn’t realise how loud the section actually is. When you’re in it, you think it’s really quiet. And me, as someone who enjoys singing, found it really difficult to join in with the SK1 chants when everyone else around me didn’t contribute a bit (not even clapping). It just felt awkward. Second half I spent with my cousin and his mate downstairs in the concourse having a few drinks, then went up to the front of SK1 to sing about Rudkin and the board for the last 10 minutes. By which point the rest of the stadium was empty.

Sounded good on the TV first half and when we were pressing for a goal at 1-0.

I felt the atmosphere yesterday was very odd. It could've been the foggy conditions, it being a cup match or the low attendance (out of curiosity - what was the attendance?). Even from the start, the fact that 'The Whole World Smiles With You' being repeated only once - when it's been twice for the last 2 years - was quite strange. I sat further towards the front of SK1 then I have before (for reference, the UFS flags were one row infront of me). It felt like none of the chants were picking up, and whenever I turned to look behind me, all I seen was people mouths shut, not singing one bit, arms folded and a grumpy face, trying to spot where on the pitch the football was. It felt like the Rudkin songs picked up a bit in the second half, but in general it sounded a lot more quiet than normal to me (maybe it's harder to gauge sitting lower down). The goal celebrations were more like cheers imo. Although saying that, when Wout's goal went in, the guy next to me and someone in the row infront ended up on the floor. That was the only goal celebrated like a premier league goal in the slightest.

Who’s starting for us? -
When did he say this? At the presser?
-
Are we 100% sure he’s off? This is the sort of thing Fabrizio would tweet.. he did for nyoni and noublisse.

I know there are a lot of us that leave early. But my gosh this is awful from Arsenal.

There's no place for racism in football. In my opinion, this countries football culture that did more towards attempting to eliminate racism than any political decision ever has. We also support where we're from, and in our case, that's Leicester. The football/rugby/cricket should be a place where different communities and different cultures from all over the shire (and beyond) come together and unite behind our team and those representing our city. Makes me sick to the core that some 'fans' think it's ok to give racial abuse. And given the last few pages, where someone got banned for supposedly holding a flare/smoke bomb, it also angers me to see that the club aren't focusing on placing sanctions on the real offenders within the club's fanbase. I urge, whoever reads this, if they see any behavior like this, to call it out. Take a photo or tell a nearby steward. It might not make a difference to you, but I promise you, it will help someone else.

I’m coming up with one of my pals up from London who’s a QPR ST holder. He’s dragging along 3 of our other mates (one of which doesn’t have any interest in football) just to try and help fill their end. He says there’s a lot of others doing similar. He was also telling me that the 3,000 they brought last year was a massive achievement. Whereas for us, if you haven’t been a ST holder for 10 years, there’s no chance you could get away tickets on a semi frequent basis.

How many minutes did he get? -
Away fans always look good against us in my opinion. Maybe it’s because they’re tucked away in a corner. Or just shows how shite our home support is. But regardless of the team, the away limbs always look good in the King Power.

I just skip to the interview. Normally go straight to the last 5 minutes.

I’m praying to whoever will listen that Ruud n the club recall Braybrooke. Sat on the bench doing **** all at Dundee week in week out. Get him playing here or re loan him to somewhere that will play him. He’s at an age now where he needs regular games.
