  1. I Imagine they're a bit invested as their former teammate and friend (?) is in charge. But also, we really don't want relegation. If anything it will make us even less attractive for prospective buyers and will likely mean we can only realistically survive if we sell club assets or Top keeps bankrolling us.
  2. King might just be part of the same malaise that has permeated all players and staff. He's been involved throughout our worst period maybe ever and has lost four out of four. We can not do any worse than that.
  3. Really? No way? The club that paid and eight-figure sum for Ward are unable to acquire a terrible third-choice keeper?
  4. They probably never bid is the likely explanation.
  5. We look so much better when we employ Maresca's system. Winks-Pereira gives us so much control over the midfield. To me, it's obvious that this how we get the best out of those two, who are our technically best players.
  6. wake the hell up Leicester. This is infuriating.
  7. He put it on a plate for Stephens. Why not try to punch it?
  8. Terrible by Begovic. Poor aerial defending all over. Watch us throw this away from a completely harmless position.
  9. Calamitous defending. Again.
  10. Aluko and Page must wonder what they have to do to be playing. Winks, Thomas, Mavididi and Ricardo keep getting selected regardless. At least I hope Ricardo will be playing the inverted fullback now that Winks is playing again.
  11. Sure and when OGS fails we go for Rooney and Mark Hughes just to say we've given every Ex Man U striker a shot.
  12. Neither are Winks or Soumaré before he left. Obviously we weren't going to get anyone who was playing regularly. Meh. Whatever.
  13. Yeah, but a Temu version.
  14. I know the quality is way worse. But the key parts that made it work are arguably still here (Winks, Riccy, Vestergaard, Mav and Fats). James could play the KDH role.
  15. Ricardo, Vestergaard, Winks, Choudhury, Fatawu, Mavididi, Daka and Stolarczyk were all here and playing regularly under Enzo. I don't think your argument is the main issue - it's him returning in the first place.
  16. Alright, Fatawu's cousin. Next you'll tell us Ayew is a seasoned and proven international level striker who is good enough to lead the line.
  17. Remind me never to trust you if I ever come across you one day
  18. He did a great job in difficult circumstances at Bristol City, which is a similar job we're faced with now realistically. But I think you're right that there are too many factors at play here which will mean he's either not going to be considered or he won't do it. A part of me hopes that King could make use of Pearson in some capacity though.
  19. Is Pearson a realistic option? From a coaching perspective, sure, with King there already. But Whelan is gone (we know how he feels about that) and Vichai and Shakespeare have passed away since then. Walsh is settled in the US and Pearson's own health is not the best. It's another long-term rebuild project like when he took us on first time, but Top isn't giving anyone time if he thinks we should get promoted next season (unless he means from League One...). So as much as I wouldn't mind giving the reins to a tried and trusted manager like NP, I just don't see it happening.
  20. What's the point of this season?
  21. Yeah, finished ST yesterday and I really enjoyed the series. I found myself commenting a lot more during the final episode, but I feel the show has established that it's OK that things are outrageous and scarcely/not believable. I think they did a great job tying the knot and I had no issues with the final showdown. It's so classic D&D and I'm happy they focused a lot more on the characters and going back to the very start again.
  22. No-one will focus on how poor and inconsistent the opposition have been if and when Arsenal win, unlike our win...
  23. Stranger Things is just a nostalgia trip. I found a lot of shows/movies from the 80s to be very corny, even as a child, but it's what many of my generation have grown up with, so there is the recognition and nostalgia of our youth. But I've enjoyed the show more as I started playing TTRPGs as an adult around the same time that ST started, which adds an extra layer to it. It's not deep, but it is entertaining and appeals to my sense of play and they thankfully haven't dragged it on for much too long like countless other shows.
  24. The Russia thing obviously a tongue in cheek 80s reference where just about every movie with a baddie was either Russian or German.
