You mention loyalty, but how loyal were the club exactly? Judging by comments from Rodgers, himself, Cooper, RVN and now Cifuentes, it indicates that the loyalty from the club wasn't exactly there. It wasn't really creative at all. He put a rigid system in place which could be really effective, until he was countered. To his credit he did manage to find solutions by e.g. pushing Ricardo into an offensive 8/overloading the midfield. But we created few chances and we wouldn't see goals from outside the box like we have this season. But the way he implemented his style while still delivering results felt like we were in good hands. He spoke with an air of confidence or even arrogance and he got the best out of KDH, Winks, Ricardo, Hermansen, Mavididi and Vestergaard. With us, his pros outweigh the cons quite comfortably I think.
