Bit demanding that! We've got third-most clean sheets in the division, the best attack and the best GD.
-
Nice upturn in form there, joint-fifth best. Are you seeing improvement in the performances as well?
-
It won't do. The Foxes Trust, the media, the manager have to take the board to account. Serious questions need to be raised regarding our transfer business the past few years.
-
I'm surprised we haven't looked to loan a replacement after Casadei was recalled. But you could argue being 10 points aheas is the best time you could be blooding youth players, so...
-
So we signed Kristiansen and Tete last January, Hermansen and Fatawu in the summer (maybe even Casadei?) that have needed work permits, but we're blindsided by this one? Something doesn't really add up.
-
Praet getting some undue heat I think. Should've had an assist and can't expect him to be fit after 1,5 games.
-
So he takes naps mid-game? Great... Mancini?
-
He's still in the squad against Fiorentina tonight https://football-italia.net/sensi-included-in-inters-squad-list-for-fiorentina-despite-imminent-leicester-city-transfer/ I wonder if Praet playing yesterday also wasn't an indication that he's staying.

This thread makes for some mind-boggling reading. On one hand he is 'our best player' this season, on the other he is utterly 'woeful' at PL level. There must be some division in between where he'd fit quite nicely Yes, he was abject in the PL with us under Rodgers. Yes, he suits Maresca's style to a tee. I'd be comfortable having a settled team with a tested system if we get promoted. We know his weaknesses, which can be mitigated to a certain extent, but this season has certainly shown his strengths - and I feel too many naysayers are glossing over this or saying 'he will never have the time on the ball'. We've just spent a decade in the PL. It really isn't full of quality teams and (thankfully) most don't press anywhere near the level of Liverpool. With Maresca at the helm, I think Vestergaard will be absolutely crucial to our chances of staying up (and pushing on) as mad as it may sound.
-
But he got charged for three transgressions, one of them being refusing to cooperate. This wasn't your standard 'oh I'm slightly above the limit' situation as I read it.
-
Hosts Ivory Coast could head out as well tomorrow if results go against them tomorrow.
-
AFCON has been more nuts than ever this time around. All the big guns, bar Senegal and Morocco have been shocking. Egypt, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Tunisia all very underwhelming.
-
On the flip side, if you cannot entrust Vardy to do a job for 10-15 minutes, then what's the point of having him around? I know he's nosedived but surely he's not THAT useless. I do agree that Hamza needed moving up and the central defense needing some strengthening.
-
Exactly, Doyle or Coady (or both) and take the pragmatic approach when the team is tiring. But Maresca will not tinker with the defensive formation it seems.
-
You think that had a lingering effect? If so, that's a bit scary if he was kept on and didn't signal to the bench. I would tend to think he was just not able to keep up with the Ipswich players.
-
But we literally play those types of balls. The Doyle assist for Cannon springs to mind. But Ipswich were all over our forwards and midfielders so any high balls got snuffed out. If Cannon makes runs and is constantly ignored, it's also on him to offer more support instead, on could say.
-
Faes in particular looked dazed and drunk at times. But they weren't helped by a weak midfield and lack of movement up front.
-
Enzo consistently makes subs around 55 minutes, but not today. Granted, it's usually Ndidi/Casadei or a winger, so this wasn't on the cards today. Also, your logic is a bit flawed as we rarely have a like-for-like sub. The subs allow for tactical tweaks or renewed energy, so they may be inferior choices at minute 0, but superior ones at minute 60. We never dominated the second half - at any point. We created the better chances/finished off moves, but Ipswich had just as many if not more dangerous situations which could have let to goals were it not for last ditch tackles or interceptions. Truth is that with 10-15 minutes to go, the screw was only being tightened and we had no answer. An equaliser was the more likely outcome.
-
Yeah, but fair dues, they also work bloody hard for it and were far more aggressive second half. What they lack in quality they have in determination instead. They kept asking questions and ultimately we couldn't find the answers. Concerning how they found so much space in the last twenty minutes and that we didn't go five at the back or something. Faes, Justin ans Hamza were on the ropes non-stop.
-
We've lost the ball literally EVERY single time we've gone long second half. If anything, we've UNDERplayer throughout the game.
-
Not just Hamza, there was another player playing them on. McAteer?
-
Infuriating. Twice they've done this to us. We've completely relinquished control and had no answer to their aggressive press. Disappointing. Our quality is far greater than Ipswich, but they're getting the maximum out of their players.
-
Even so, the way Bayer Leverkusen are going, Bayern could win their remaining games and still struggle to pip them. Why're you holding that against them? It's pretty much the norm.
-
I thought Winks, Fatawu, Mavididi and Casadei were all statement signings. Even Coady and Doyle were top signings at this level.
-
Everybody, except perhaps Maddison, did though. His increasing injuries is really the main concern here. He's had to adapt his playstyle the last few years with his pace dropping off and he has done that well. However, if he's never match sharp, his usefulness is severely limited.
